I'll be getting an uprev after all my mods, might invest in a hydro jacket aswell though just incase

Ive seen one person on here have one but no details on how it is on the car, I have been pondering over one for a while, it's quite expensive for an induction system but it looks to be real good quality and could actually give some gains from its location, not to mention looks especially in red. Il be taking it to a friends garage or my work for the mot, will just get them to road test it tbh, not worth the aggro doing my thoughts in M3s do have LSDs yes, the E46 has what's called an M active differential, slightly different to a normal LSD. Quite fragile though along with their boot floors (quite common for them to tear)

Hell no those LEDs are mine soon as there off yours they'll be on mine Have you got any uprated bulbs anywhere on yours pete? Thinking of just updating the car a little with some 6k headlight bulbs, rear led plate bulbs and some led indicator/sidelight bulbs but for the life of me cant work out which I need as there's so many out there!

Afternoon all Just had my mate ring me up and tell me that his E46 M3 diff has started whining etc on the way back from pod last weekend. I said to him before he went on the dyno that there is speculation about rolling roads messing with the LSD, sure enough when he came off the dyno the dash was lit up like a christmas tree and then on the way home was making noise. The reason I ask is when I get the Uprev done it was be dynod several times and I slightly anxious as to what it will do to the diff What's the deal with this guys?

I cant help it mate if its not how I want it, it doesn't get done. Simples *meerkat noise* Plus I'm a real sucker for genuine carbon, my previous BMW was full of it! Already seen a couple of extra bits of carbon il get for the Z, even though I promised myself that's once the list is done its done

I don't want to wrap them if I'm honest, Im after the real thing I have someone that can carbon overlay them which I suppose would be good enough

After searching a while though different threads it appears some people/companies were planning on releasing some carbon steering inserts, does anybody know if this has happened as I'm itching to get a set. Cheers all Arran

Guys I haven't had the geometry checked since I bought the car, when I'm back off holiday I want to get this done aswell as having the wheels rebalanced (there's a slight vibration through the wheel at a certain speed) My Z doesn't have any mods to the suspension other than Alex's uprated front links and some polybush front bar bushes. What's the best setting to get dialled in? My tyres are wearing evenly which makes me think it's ok but I just want to double check it Cheers all Arran

The Cobra resonated I have on mine sounds the best imo, I spent a while thinking and researching what one to get, will be adding silenced de cats and a Cobra y pipe in the near future. My video of the exhaust is in the cougar store section

Is the eprom not transferable from a jdm car?

Balls that's a bummer, il be booking mine in with you mark in the next couple months when all the supporting mods are on. Guess il have to settle for all out performance everywhere

I ideally want three different maps on mine, one balls out performance with no regard to fuel economy, another with a 'normal' uprev map and another that sets the limiter at 2k for when it get taken to garages etc. Does abbey charge more for doing it? And does cruise control still work?

I've seen that when you go for an uprev you can have up to 5 maps controlled via the cruise control button, I'd like three maps ideally each for different situations. Has anyone had this done, was it alot extra for different maps? Also is there anything to tell you that youve selected a different map? Cheers all

Indeed we can put that to rest now we know, nice cheap mod to do if it makes a difference happy days. Must say don't know if it's me thinking it but my lights on the way home looked clearer and a little brighter when driving? Il get the DA on them on Saturday but for now that's done the job cheers mate

Aaaah got you, didn't realise that. I've seen the rev up conversion for sale on here. If it makes a minor difference then il buy one before I get it mapped. I thought it was the HR box used That clears that up then lol

Late evening all Speaking with Pete ealier we were discussing the advantages of putting a HR airbox on a DE, now we lifted bonnets of both and the DEs box is alot bigger so whats the advantage of using a HR one? For airflow maybe? Not expecting a big gain lol but every little helps before I get the uprev done So guys in your experience what's the reasoning Ta Arran
