  1. Hi Welcome. Terrible disease once contracted. Enjoy spending your well earned on mods...
  2. Hadnt seen the video before, its absolutely cracked me up, brlliant. I already have a rear door fitted to my garage otherwise a side door onto the pathway adjacant to the garage would have been hillarious but with value and purpose.. Thanks all.
  3. Thanks, i have a few options now thanks to you all again..
  4. Thanks. Will attempt the carpet approach next weekend. Just torn between the risk of scraping her versus leaving her out....Would really like it tucked up in tha garage if I can. Will post the result next weekend..
  5. Thanks. Early 1970's built bungalow.. Any builder worth their salt would have thought about 3.5 litre sports cars of the future and factored it in...
  6. Hi guys, really cheesed off today. Sun was out so I dried the Z off all ready to put it away in the garage until the Spring. CTEK charger arrived Friday so everything was lined up. Had the Mrs guide me in to my single garage to ensure no scrapes but unfortunatley I couldnt get out of the car !!. No jokes please becuase I am really hacked off about this. Couldn't climb out the back of the car because i am not a 3ft acrobat and couldn't find away of getting out.. My dillema now I have calmed down is to remove the battery and put it in my empty garage on a trickle charge or leave the car on my private driveway and turn her over every week. Dont really want to drive it on the sh*tty roads in the Winter months. Can I have some views from you without any pops at my misfortune.. Thanks as always Martin
  7. Thanks Chris, Will add one to my 2013 shopping list..
  8. Thanks. I know what AH stands for just wasnt sure what the rating would be on a typical Z battery. Going to take the advice from Chris and get a XS 0.8. Thanks to everyone who replied again. Martin
  9. All After some advice (again). Looking to purchase a ctek battery charger as recommended to keep the z battery charged up whilst garaged through the winter months. Not sure which one to buy so called ctek. They asked me to look up the AH rating as they said this was key to which charger was best for the job. I have looked on the battery and cannot for the life of me find this rating. Is the AH rating fairly standard on all z batteries ?. If it is can someone tell me what it is or better still let me know what CTEK charger you have if you have one for your z. Thanks as always Martin
  10. Chris. Looks great.. How was the fitting process. Was it DIY or did you have it fitted proffessionaly ?. Interested to know if it was straight forward etc. What was the fixing process etc. Did you paint it ?. Martin

    SPARE WHEEL

Thanks to Alex and all those that replied. Lady luck was shining on me. I took it to be checked out and we found a small nail that had gone through the sole of the tyre. £10 patch and a few extra quid for a drink fixed the issue. My weekend was somewhat cheaper than I feared it would be. I dont mind replacing worn tyres but this was one was hardly worn, would have been a painful pill to swallow if the tyre was to be thrown away. Thanks again ALL Martin

    SPARE WHEEL

Hi All Just got a call at work from the Mrs to say my offside rear tyre is flat on my Z parked at home. Can anyone tell me is the spare a full alloy on the zed or a "get me home" tyre. Planning to garage her in a couple of weeks for the winter and dont fancy spending out for a new tyre before the spring. I have a trip to Wasso in a couple of weeks and was hoping i might be able to drive it on the spare. Also hoping that there's not a a nasty nail in it and its saveable. Any responses this afternoon will help my anger management. Thanks Martin
  15. Article on the front page of pistonheads today. Worth a look.
  16. Hi Guys, Thanks for all your advice as always. You have helped me with my decision. Best Regards and Thanks Martin
  17. After some advice please. I am planning to garage my Z during the winter months. Can anyone recommend a trickle charger to keep the battery charged. Is there anything else to consider before putting her to bed for a few months. Thanks All Martin
  18. Tarmac Sounds great. Can you let me know when the coolant tanks are in and confirm they are straight forward to fit in replacement of the standard one. Thanks Martin
  19. Looks fantastic. What front splitter do you have fitted ?. How easy was it to fit to your standard front bumper ?. Regards Martin
  20. Thanks for the response guys..
  21. Hi All I am just about to fit/link a BERK polished air intake tube to a JWT pop charger on my zed to replace the standard item . The BERK tube has a small (spout) about a third of the way down it that the original does not. Can anyone advise me whether I should plug the open ended spout or its fine to leave as is. Advice will be greatly appreciated as always. Regards Martin
  22. Welcome. Hope you contract moditus.
  23. Great news Chris and good luck. I have purchased a JWT pop charger and Berk Polished intake tube from Tarmac and on both occassions the service from Chris has been first class. Would highly recommend Tarmac to others and will no doubt be back on other occassions as I continue to mod my Z.

    MOD HELP REQUIRED

Hi Guys. Got it sorted. I couldnt find a way to adjust the bonnet mech. I took the rivets out from their holders and placed the diffuser flat without them in place. It closed without any snags. After a lot of flaffying around I realised if I filed the plastic edges of the rivet housings flat (they were only about 1mm proud) and then refitted the rivets in the housings the diffuser fitted perfect and so did the bonnet. Small issue that caused an hour or two of stress but pleased with the way I resolved it. Worth remembering if anyone else has this issue. Thanks Martin
