That's true. We we're offered 7 days free insurance from HPI via Aviva.

Be careful not to come across as trying to hide something Just incase they are serious buyers.

If you do a proper HPI check and want the guarantee you HAVE to give them the VIN number. As well as a list of other stuff. I usually do a cheapo text check but the full hpi is a lot more indepth but costs £25. Sounds like the guy is either after your car details to clone something or very very serious about it. He may be a long way from you and not want to waste his time coming to see it without doing a full check first. Personally, I'd be happy for him to have the details after sounding him out on the phone first. If he sounds like he knows enough about the type of car, which he should, you'll know if he's dodgy or not.

Proof of damage would be the photo in the advert? I don't know much about 370z prices but if the price is good and the repair has been done properly, I wouldn't be scared off by it. It will depreciate at the same rate as a straight one, maybe a little more as more cat c and d ones become available but will still be worth decent money in the future. The damage didn't look too bad, as long as the car in the photo damaged is the car your buying? I guess if you were synical you could say it could be a random photo of a lightly damaged car! Go and see it and see if it's not too far away

The reason they can only find a few is that I expect they are looking at stock available in their group. They won't go out and buy a car from Autotrader to sell on to you do you may have to be patient or look elsewhere. Ford used to have a scheme called Ford Direct that linked up loads of dealers and their stock. Do Nissan have a similar system?

I bought two, one for delivery and then another to collect. I had two email both saying it was being despatched, but the delivery one, said the 12th and the collect one said the 8th, so I'm guessing that one won't be despatched.
