Even more annoying (we not quite), when I looked under mats in the boot: the jack was missing. I have a emergency kit for re-inflation, a wheel nut wrench, the subwoofer .. and that is it... should be anything else in there? Need to have a chat with the dealer..

This is what did the damage - found it inside the tyre... couldn't repair, hole too big... new bridgestone for 302GBP .. was i ripped off?

So today, after an afternoon of cleaning I got a puncture. While given my dad a spin, heard some debris go round the wheel arches. Then there was a strange hissing sound. Just 30 yards before home the tire pressure warning goes one. So ... One puncture later. Got Nissan RAC cover to put a temp plug in it. Any ideas what to do get it fixed tomorrow? The holes in the centre of the tread. And the tires have only done 500 miles. shall I just kiwk fit it?

As it says on the tin... What should I do with my Z when it's p##ing it down? I don't have a garage (that's usable)... Fed up of watching water running down it gorgeous lies.... :o)

As others have said: glad you are ok and that is the most important thing. That looks like it could have gone a lot worse. I've lived in countries where the tow trucks arrive hours before any police or rescue... So just glad you are ok. Having said that, let's hope the cameras get the moron who didnt tie down his load properly....

Do you get the speed camera warnings without switching to sat nav first? I don't think there s a fault - Im just trying to avoid a sequence of button presses every time I start the car...

No - I have the iPod displayed when I turn the car on (it's always what I had on last). There is no warning... BUT ... there are also no speed camera voice warnings unless I switch to the sat nav and acknowledge the startup warning (and then have to switch back to iPod).

For the side profile photos: Taken with a couple of speed lights, one to the left, one to the right. The light stands are just off picture to the bottom right and bottom left. The lights are about waist high, with the left light a bit higher. Camera was on manual - dialled to expose the ambient light, with the lights set to TTL, then exposure compensation for each light adjusted till it looked good on the back of the camera..

I washed the 370 yesterday. That's the first time I've washed a car in 5 years - a combination of company cars and living in country where you just pay someone peanuts to do it weekly... So I didn't make too good a job of it. I really need to read up on the detailing threads... This evening I got my camera out and took a few pics, here's the results.. An obligatory closeup.. There's no closeups of the wheels as my allow cleaning technique leaves much to be desired. Even my wife got excited and came out for a pose... I don't suppose anyone runs any detailing masterclasses?

Hi, I love my Connect Premium, but the initial warning screen it throws up on startup is annoying. I don't use the sat nav much, and have my iPod plugged in and running most of the time. However I do like the speed cam warnings, but these don't seem to sounds unless this warning screen is acknowledged. This means when I start the car, I have to go through the procedure of switch to map, press ok, switch back to iPod. Quite annoying.. (although it's hardly life destroying ;o). Anyone know if it can be turned off? Or are we stuck with the annoying warning that operating a sat nav while driving can be dangerous? Given it's a 370z there slightly more dangerous things to do than ask it for directions! cheers joe

So I got this car in the end. :o) I was reading through the manual this week and came upon the section on fuel usage. Here's what is says (roughly): --- In Europe: Use Premium Unleaded (98RON) Outside Europe: Use Premium Unleaded (95RON) If filled with 91RON then emergency only, and only fill half tank etc --- So all the talk of emergency fill ups anyway doesn't refer to 95, but to 91. It also suggests to me that the engine will cope with 95 ok as well. Perhaps the map is different between Europe (which i assume is us as well ;o) and the rest of the world? Personally, Im on 99RON from Tesco, as that's what's available nearby. But I certainly won't be scared of filling up with 95 if I need to...

Yeah, the story I got was that another (non GT) 370 had a badly damaged tyre during delivery, so they swapped the wheels while the news ones came through. I was happy with the silver - I bought that particular car for how it looked as it was, rather than on the spec. I'm sure I'd have been just as happy with dark wheels as well ;o) Cheers for all the other advice .. one thing I am doing is taking it easy in the wet - I did previously own a 1980 corvette, so have experienced a *lot* of back end dancing in the wet ;o) hence I been really careful. Yesterday afternoon was fairly dry so I went out for a drive round the ring road, lots of boy racers and BMW 330 drivers trying it on... my tactic is to give them 50yds head start then power past in 2nd at 7k revs.. ;o) Like I said, real careful so far : loving it... it is the best car I've had so far...

You got me worried then , just checked to make sure a fast one wasn't pulled.. They're 19's

They should, but I got the normal ones on mine... (ex demo car, part of the deal, and I prefer the normal colour..)
