  1. Dave, thanks for the info and invitation to view. I'm in Yorkshire though so won't be able to take you up on it, enjoyable as it almost certainly would have been I like the idea of changing the handbrake but am far too stupid to do it myself so will show your instructions to someone cleverer than myself and flutter my eyelashes
  2. I really like the look of the carbon fibre one (not so keen on yours KyleR - sorry ) but would like to see it in real life before making up my mind. Your handbrake looks far nicer than mine too SpursMadDave. Can you change them too? Sorry, I do have to keep apologising for my lack of knowledge but the only way to learn is to keep asking silly questions I guess
  3. Thanks everyone and thanks for PM Steve. I am still not sure what to do. I need to feel it and, oh, not even going to say it this time I wish it had a different name so that I could talk about it without all sorts of other images being evoked! I also like the orange nismo one but everything else in car is black so maybe it will look wrong? I never thought I'd need to make such decisions and it's difficult without seeing the er, knobs in question. OMG just seen your post Neilp. No comment is all I have to say
  4. Is the carbon Nismo knob too shiny? No good way of saying this but, is it good to hold or will it slip out of my hand. I just know what sort of answers I'll get to this question but it is a serious one, honestly
  5. Depends just how good he is wesmin
  6. Gear knobs that is I've only just got my Zed and am not intending to do much in the way of modification but I would like a nice gear knob as the current one isn't very smart. Just wondered what, if anything, I could get?
  7. Thanks for that Mad Grip. Not a much fun as he sounds then
  8. Ooh, I always wondered what as key grip did. Now I know All I need to find out now is what a Best Boy might be. I've always rather fancied employing one of those if they are as good as they sound!
  9. "There are 4 types, in order of importance ; Drivers Mid-life crises Posers Chavs" Which begs the question - which are you Leeroy? I've been asked if I'm having a mid-life crisis - of course not, I'm far too young and besides I already had that ages ago I'd like to think I'm a driver as I've always been interested in cars (despite being a mere girl) and I hope that I will emerge as a better driver once Colin has given me a few pointers next month. I'm definitely not a poser and I don't own any nylon tracksuits or white socks so I wouldn't make a very good chav either
  10. Well it does sound great but I am doing a track day on the 23rd so I don't think I can manage to fit everything in. Maybe next time if you do one every year?
  11. Ha ha, nothing wrong with you at all I love Wales but I can only afford to stay in the hotel that I like once a year !
  12. I only come to Wales once a year and then it is always North Wales but I am hoping to go to Harewood on June 17th so I should meet some of you then
  13. Hello, I've only just got mine too but I love it
  14. I'm not a snob and I would wave at anyone who waved at me but I am not brave enough to wave first I think I will be once I've had my Zed a little longer. I saw two Zeds when I was out for my drive today, both in East Yorks on road towards Driffield (blade silver coupe, I think, and azure coupe). One was behind me so I smiled but I don't suppose they saw me. I wonder if it was anyone on here? It would be nice to meet another Zed owner sometime.
  15. I think bin men are now refuse management engineers aren't they I love Simmental - lovely chunky breed and they make a very nice sandwich Right, off for my drive now. Seaside here I come!
  16. I think we are getting a broader variety of occupations appearing on the thread now. Some people's jobs sound really interesting.
  17. I'm in East Yorkshire about 30 miles from the coast Thought I'd take the back roads and enjoy myself. I can't decide whether to listen to music en route or just listen to the engine, which is just as pleasing! Hope the weather stays nice so that I can have the top down
  18. Beavis - what is a "Nismo B-Pillar Garnish"? I've always used parsley as a garnish but I am guessing that isn't the case here?
  19. "Ex punkrocker, football hooligan and pub doorman" erm, I'm pretty sure that at least one of the aforementioned isn't actually a proper job I also think you are right about there being no stereotypical Zed owner, although my observations about the technical/engineering bias still seem to hold fairly true but maybe that is because a lot of men work in those sort of industries anyway? This isn't really a scientific study is it? We are a self-selected sample and I bet no-one puts professional layabout as their chosen metier Sorry, forgotten how to do accents on my mac so please excuse the French!
  20. "Yes - and enjoying every minute of being a zed owner!" Yay, me too Going for a run out to the coast tomorrow. What's the form if I see any other Zeds out and about? Do I flash them? No smutty comments please even if you are a 'young 'un'
  21. Er, I'm not sure what you mean but please don't feel the need to enlighten me
  22. Well, I still think we have a bias towards the technical/engineering types but really we are a fairly mixed bunch, which is great. I was worried everyone would be completely different from me but that's not the case as I am, according to my husband, 'a bit of a geek' I don't think I am but if it takes one to know one then he may be right Squee - at last, another girl I will message you. I have a rabbit called Bear! purlple&black - are you a girl too?
  23. Thanks everyone for your help Still formulating a plan of action.
  24. Yes I'd figured that out (which is quite good for me ) They are Bridgestones on rear but something I've never heard of on fronts - they say Lassa Phenomena?
