  1. I just did the penny trick last night, was meaning to do it since i got the car.

This thread spurred me one, 2 x 1p in each side and 1 hand opening :)

    Best 4p mod ever!

    ^^^^Exactly what 350Ad said above^^^^

Just a bit of feedback/update. Did mine last night with 4p and it works perfectly! :yahoo::yahoo:

    Many thanks again

  2. I'm not normally a fan of black wheels, but with the other black accents on the car, I think they work really well.

Car looks great - mean looking stance too! Good work

As a fellow GM owner, I'll watch your future developments with interest.. :)

How much are you looking for, for your spacers (I see you've removed them now) and what are you gonna do with your Rays....? ;)

  3. Hi All,

Although I can't make the whole weekend, or the drive outs, I'm hoping to come meet you guys on the Saturday afternoon at the hotel if that's ok?

I'll make it there kinda mid-afternoon and stick around pretty much for the remainder of the day, probably drooling over your cars.

Really looking forward to meeting you all.

    Cheers, Ian

  4. The same happened to me this past weekend.

My drive is on an incline and always reverse up onto it. This weekend I was 'faffing' about on the drive (moving the car across so I could get my bike out the garage) and I was suddenly hit with the aforementioned clutch smell.

I thought I'd knackered the clutch, but a quick drive round the block re-assured me I hadn't.

This thread is perfectly timed and has shown me I'm not the only one to have experienced a smelly clutch.

  5. I'm sure someone will be along with the exact answers to your tax question very soon, but although your car is an 04, it will depend when the car was imported/registered in this country.

I think the 'cut off' date is March 2006. If it was imported/registered before this date, it will be the cheaper £270 ish per year, after this date, it'll be the higher tax group.

Enjoy the sleepless night tonight! And have a great drive home tomorrow. I'd expect about 26-27 MPG. I'd worry more about the face ache from grinning :teeth: than the fuel consumption on your first drive.

Oh, and welcome to the club

  6. Spotted this morning, as title, Sunset Orange 350Z, heading north on M42, near J3 about 08:40am.

I was just moving over into lane 1 (to exit) and you were 'making progress' in lane 3.

Didn't catch reg no. It was the first Zed I'd seen 'in flight' since owning mine, damn they look good :teeth:

  7. And if anyone can help Kyle out with a UK 04 brochure, could you give me a nod aswell please?

Now look what you've started Mickeywheelspin!!

I thought I'd struck lucky last week when I popped into my local Nissan dealer and asked for the very same thing. The parts guy went out back and said he'd have a look.

He returned saying "You're in luck, I've got two on the shelf". He then gave me the accessories brochure for a 350z. Dammit. Sooooo close! :bang:

  8. From how you've described the car, the honesty the current owner has given you regarding the fuel he's used and the advice you've been given here, personally, I'd buy it - before somebody else does!

Don't let it be the one that got away.

  9. Am I on my own here, or has anyone else found this?

Thanks again all, I no longer feel so alone :teeth: Will hopefully try 1 or 2 of these fixes this weekend if it's dry.

Great info and very helpful. You guys rock! :band::wiggle:

  10. Cool, thanks for the prompt responses guys.

I assumed my struts were okay, as once my boot was open, it stays open (and doesn't try to eat me) :bangin: But it would appear that they're not.

Right, I'm now off to search for "The 1p trick". How much does this 'trick' cost.....?

    I'll fetch my coat :teeth:

  11. Hi All,

Something that's bugging me and each time I wonder if this just affects me/my car, or is a design feature/flaw of everyone else's Zed.

Can you open your boot with one hand? Cos I can't

I have to depress the boot release button with one hand, whilst pulling the boot open with the other. This is a pain in the bum when carrying something, especially when it's been persisting it down with rain and you don't want to put it down.

On all my other cars, once the boot has been opened and/or the button depressed, you've only needed one hand to pull the boot open. This isn't the case on my Zed

Am I on my own here, or has anyone else found this?

  12. Wow, thanks Bob, I wasn't expecting (or asking for) a freebie. Thanks mate

If you ever have a set of wheels or exhaust or any other goodies surplus to requirements, let me know!

I'll send you my address details and if you send me your PayPal address I'll send you the postage costs and some beer/petrol/mods tokens for your trouble.

Thanks again mate. Very much appreciated.

  13. :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo: Welcome to the club!

Pleased you found the right car. Now, you know what's coming next, so I'll say it before someone else does...

GET SOME PICS UP! And let's see her :D
