  1. Yeah mate, gonna give it a go. Dave's posting me the template as I haven't got access to a supersize printer.

Ordered the acoustic carpet today and will go get some MDF tomorrow and some spray adhesive.

Cardboard will definitely be the first phase! Look forward to seeing your pics. I'll post 1 or 2 once I'm done (providing it looks ok)

  2. Alternatively someone can trace round theirs and stick it in an envelope then post it to you? Doesn't even matter if it's folded as it'll be used as a template anyway

Just use it to create a cardboard template before you take a jigsaw to anything.

I wouldn't mind having a go at making one either....

  3. Hi All,

As per title, I'm after a set of Tein lowering springs with the 14/17mm drop. As mods go, I know they're not exactly megabucks new, but just thought I'd try on here in case any of you guys had a set lying round after maybe upgrading to coilovers etc.

Traders, please feel free to PM me with prices if you carry these in stock

    Cheers, Ian

  4. I bought these but plans (and priorities) have now changed.

A pair of 350Z fibreglass/white gel coat Nismo style rear spats for OEM rear bumper. No fittings included and they would obviously need preperation and primer before painting.

    £45 delivered.

    PM with any questions.

    Cheers, Ian

  5. I had a mk1 225 TT before my Zed. I now have a 2004 UK GT. I have not regretted the change for a second.

My TT introduced me to car forums as there was seemingly always something up with it. To the point I bought a VAGCOM lead so I could do my own diagnostics. The TT forum is a great place (much like this) but all to frequent the posts begin with "I'm getting this fault code....".

The Zed is IMO a much better car in many respects. I take pride looking at my standard Zed whereas my TT was just that - just another TT. Yes there are more 'exclusive' mk1 TT's such as the Quattro Sport or the V6. But these will only turn the heads of those that know the differences between the front bumper and slightly longer rear spoiler. Yawn.

The TT is a good, capable car. But it's just that, 'capable'. The Zed excites you and makes you grin each time the V6 kicks into life.

Went off on one a bit there. Just do it my friend. Come over from the darkside :starwars:

  6. I'm also interested to hear you guy's opinions on this. I too have the standard GT wheels (non RAYS) fitted to my GM Zed and considered getting them powdercoated also.

I'm thinking of getting them done a darker grey than the car (like the GTR Smoked Grey above), but do not have the artistic imagination to figure out how this will look. I just know I don't want them black.

To get an indication of how the standard GT wheels look when finished in black on a silver car, check this eBay item out http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290656512393? ... 1423.l2648

    Anyone handy with photoshop? :thumbs::lol:

  7. I actually prefer these to the Rays tbh Cragus. I think the Rays sit too far inside the arches

It's funny you should say that. I was taking a look at your pics (very nice BTW) and comparing it with a mental image I have of mine (same colour and wheels).

Your wheels (especially the rears) look further 'out' than mine IMO. Have you also managed to bag a set of spacers without even realising?

Welcome to Zed ownership. :yahoo: I'm sure you'll agree it was worth the wait to find the right one.

  8. It's on Tues and Weds evening next week on Movies24.

Might Sky+ it and can then fast forward through the dull bits. (I appreciate this'll probably be most of the film)
