  1. Do you think it worth advertising, I would need everything done and dusted by the 23rd of Jan?
  2. Have you met his new lady friend then??? Nice to see you about again Mr Builder, hope the new motor is getting the marmite treatment as well ????? Will it be sprayed green then? I think green should remain a Keyser colour, mine is Brembo gold remember,
  3. NO !!!!!!!!! If she won't then I will marry you She would, but: A) I'm still not divorced (this was to stop myself remarrying again) You've met her, far too young, first I need to know if keeping up with her will kill me! C) I knew after meeting me you would fall for my obvious charms (I'm my own worse enemy)
  4. Have you met his new lady friend then??? Nice to see you about again Mr Builder, hope the new motor is getting the marmite treatment as well ????? No Marmite treatment expected on this one. But I might invest in a remap or some little touches once it arrives. I'll await your thoughts on the matter
  5. And so is my Black 06 GT (cheap if you're quick) but obviously I can't say that either
  6. PapaSmurf, I apologise for the lack of recent visits, life and work have overtaken me over the last few months, and as would be expected a female is involved (I'm a sucker for trouble). This is the main reason for needing a 4 seater, good job her kids are small Pix will be posted once available (of the S5 not the girlfriend). Glad I'm allowed to stay, I need all the expertise of the guys and gals on this forum. If anyone hears of a potential purchaser of an 06 GT in Black point them my way, but I only have 10 days.
  7. Purchased my new ride today, an Audi 4.2 V8 Quattro S5 in White with Red leather. Pics to follow once it arrives (if anyone is interested). Got a crap deal on the 350 but in fairness they have said if I can sell it for more before the trade over at the end of the month then they won't mind. Really loved the Z but felt the need for something slightly more versatile (4 seats). It's a nightmare getting decent offers, as other threads have mentioned, so if anyone fancies Miss Marmite @ silly money, or a few extras then get in touch. Oh and am I now banned from this great forum cos I'll miss you guys and your great advise, I really want to stay please Paul

    Audi S5

Hi guys Anyone with any thoughts or experiences regarding the 4.2 v8 quattro S5? Ive read a bit about the issues with the fuel injection system and carbon, but as a complete numpty where engines are concerned i'm not sure of the real implications? As usual, I know some of you regular forum genius types will be happy to offer your opinions. Thanks in advance Paul.
  9. I think Dblocks been eating too much booze filled Christmas cake. None for him then !!!!!!!
  10. Full of boozy fruit, so when I eat it I can't drive the real thing, lol. Luckily for me I live alone so don't need to share it , and my girlfriend hates fruitcake I've told my sons girlfriend she should do these professionally. Its 75mm high, 400mm long and 250mm wide, she reckons it cost her about £30 in ingredients and labour.
  11. Is this the most unusual 350z based Christmas present? My son's girlfriend made this as a Christmas present for me, based on my own car......... Really can't bring myself to eat it yet !!!! It even has the gold wheels and handles Not sure if its faster than reindeer though? Happy New Year .
  12. Marshalls at Cambridge have an 09 XFR with 32000mls for £16995. You're right, its bloody cheap, so bet its in lousy condition. Ahh well its in black, so could just get it sprayed and do the alloys gold/orange And Dave, I've been in the States on holiday and to France working.
  13. Thanks for that. Might go for a test drive this coming weekend, could then put a little review up for anyone else interested. Localish dealership has an 09 XFR for £17k, plus is offering test drives in a 62plate base spec diesel, the comparison could be quite interesting
  14. VXR8 is a lovely car, but want something a bit more refined and suitable for business, hence the XFR, but was hoping someone might have some inside knowledge or experience of this beast? Thought RT might be a good bet
  15. Holiday and business trips following on from each other....... Thanks for the warm welcome back though guys
  16. Keeping the Z as a weekend fun car, so budget will be limited to £20K. I know with the Jag I can pick up a 2010 with about 30,000 miles or maybe do better than that even? Not really looked into either, but a cursory glance shows a lot of nice toys on the Jag, but I'm not sure of it's reliabilty etc? The audi I'm sure might be more reliable and 'SAFE' as a purchase, but you seem to get a lot of early depreciation on the XF which means you get a hell of a lot of car for your money.
  17. Hi guys, seems like ages since I've been on here, and now have to find my way around the new layout !!! Once again looking for some impartial advise, and any information from anyone in the know. I'm looking to pick up a decent 4/5 seater in the next few months. Obviously want to stick with something with a bit of power, and at the moment I'm looking seriously at 2 different vehicles. First choice I'm considering is the Jaguar XF 4.2 supercharged........ Second choice is the Audi S5.... If anyone could help I'd be really grateful. Cheers, Paul.
  18. Cant wait to see the www.photoshoprequest.com results Oh and remember once the photos come back
  19. Should have been doing VAT this morning, but that damned RANDOM button has ruined 90 minutes so far !!!!! priceless find
  20. Damn it !!!!! And there was me thinking I was being clever
  21. Oh and the wheels would be switched to black Rays or something similar Plus i could put the red rears back on and get rid of those God damned awful reflectors
  22. Hi Guys. Quick request as I have absolutely no knowledge of how to use photoshop (or anything similar) so wonder if someone would be kind enough to play around for me? Having a bit of a mad moment at an all day party yesterday, where far to much alcohol was consumed, and the idea of car colour changes came up. In my slightly hazed state i muted the idea of a complete colour reversal on my ZED. Therefore Brembo gold where it's black, and black where it's now Brembo gold. As you can see from the existing wheel colour change I'm not scared to have a go at something, and if I like it I'll do it (don't really care what others think, although always love their imput) So if you can help I'd be really pleased, Then possibly watch this space?????? Oh and SMD...... None of your silly orange crayons I really am interesting at knowing how good or bad this could look. Cheers, Paul PS. Side badges are now fully blacked out so they would stay black, as would the front and rear badges.
