Interesting bits! Never seen a 370z plenum for sale, thanks to kharmon for being the forum guinea pig! Just wondering about the hps hoses, presumably the oem jobbies have flex joints to let them....flex? For a reason?

Argh feel frustrated for you because that is such a lovely bit of kit. If it bugs you to oblivion then i can recommend the cobra which matches the mk1 look better than oem in my opinion and has slash cuts like the 350 too. Also fits like a glove.

James junior loving this thread and all the awesome road trip updates, takes me back to a time before babies! I also have the cobra / berk combo on my 370 nismo and agree that the best balance might be just be the cbe on standard cats, however i wont be removing the berks because they are pure deafening evil! Intereating to hear about the Kw v3 because the suspension is the next thing i want to experiment with after i get some MPSS. Keep up the good posts.

These are stupid fast. Friend has one and it simply lunches my 2014 Nismo (with breathing mods too). Sounds great, nice interior, four seats. Only drawback is the prosaic styling but the orange paint job is one way to avoid anonymity!

Faced the same problem recently and regret going for Potenzas again, the fronts still have 4mm on them after 18000m of hard driving, bloody things won't wear out.

I like the rs4 - had a s4 a few years back and said if it had a better gearbox, diff and brakes it would be the perfect car.

 

Only thing is the weight, it's considerably heavier than the evo so tracking it would feel a huge step back.

 

Told my wife about the evo idea and she's as against it as everyone else I have mentioned it to! Looks like I will have to keep hunting.

Avoid the ones with recaros, £10k to replace when they get nicked (the day after you buy the car).

I looked at the M3 before I got the evora- brilliant things, running costs will be high though. Good luck with the sale

How are you getting on with the evora? Nearly but not quite bought one, just couldnt get past the gcse build quality

Gt86 is fun to drive but you cant really slide it around public roads like you can at bedford. The zed is blunt by comparison but the power is addictive. Dull engine aside the fiesta st will give you a lot of chassis related thrills for less money than a gt86. Depends how low you wanna go.

Is it really smart to ever disable tcs on a 370 wearing potenzas given how snappy they are? Not exactly caterham levels of feedback on offer and very difficult to catch the rear end once its spazzed out.

Been looking ahead too and hugely disappointed with the build quality of the Evoras irrespective of the performance and ride. Even the post 12 models are a joke and couldn't envisage buying one. Exige S is different in that very little can touch them on track. Residuals better too.

I didn't even have my 50m swimming badge at 21. Velcro shoes too.

Mapping will probably add very little even with zorst, decats and panels. 20bhp maybe? Do it for the throttle response and traction trimming.

Sounds like your synchros in gears one and two might be a bit shagged? Btw it is normal to have some notchiness in 1st when cold imho
