  1. Has anybody used the MVP2 battery? Im on UKVapers forum and seen constant recommendations for it. My batteries at the moment (evod) are rubbish i.m.o, always highly likely to break. Just curious if anyone has one? Reason it comes up now, i went to zedshed and my evod battery wouldnt charge, and ended up on the smokes for that day (since they chain smoke, its too much temptation without a working ecig)

you sure EVOD is the battery, as EVOD is the type of atomizer. Are you sure it's not Ego-T? I have 3 different pairs of Ego-t's, all from different suppliers. 1 pair I bought in the E-cig shop, another from a mate who did a group buy from China for half the price and a 3rd pair I bought from eBay. The shop ones got a bit tatty so I passed them on to my mum to try. The eBay ones battery life is ok if I use them right away, but with 4 of these batteries plus another that I use in the house, it's hard to use it instantly, otherwise they only last 2 days. and the ones I got from my mate last a good 4 days or more.

Evod is the battery, got a kangertech evod and elego evod battery. KT should have lasted a year, but just seems like a duff one and no use paying £10 for another, when the multi-volt setting and diagnostic reader ones are £40. Was just curious if anyone had tried one, ive yet to use a different volt setting so never really felt how it changed taste/vapour

edit: just had a search, comes up with both atomizer and battery. evod isnt a make from what i can gather, so im not too sure where it lies in terms of category. But, its definetly called evod on the battery, both of them, from different companies. Unless evod is a sub company who makes the batteries and atomizers, then kangertech and elego just put a brand name on it. If thats the case, would have presumed they would buy them clean and then engrave their logo onto it. I dunno but its evod battery lol

  2. When are you looking at trying this? I have 7m spare white as no1 wants white vinyl, I could quickly make a video tutorial on roof wrapping but wont be for another week

Thank you so much for such helpful advice and a kind offer! I'm not sure when I'll be doing it, it depends on when I get the material. I've read and watched more on vinyl wrapping recently I'm dreaming about it :)

I was planning on buying enough for 2 goes as I'm pretty handy and very patient, I have my hubby who will be my assistant for the day and we have a nice big, warm garage so time isn't an issue.

I'm off to find some Hexis now. Thank you again

np :) worth investing in a heat gun, just a cheapy £10 one from ebay does the job, all this certain temprature i dont think is really that important aslong as you realise it can only get to a certain temprature before it rips. Hairdryer work for some people, but i dont think it heats it enough. If i have time ill do a roof wrap and post the video with me talking over it, good luck :)

  3. Tough break

18000 miles - just trying to work out. 18000 miles in 4 days is 4500 miles a day 4500 mile a day is 187.5 miles per hour - thats based on continuous use ie no sleep, no fuel stops

So being generous - and getting 20mpg at 187.5 mph - this is 818.18 litres works out at £1125.09 in fuel

So an extra 0 in play here ?

187mph, wont be n/a car so gonna look at some1 fitting turbo or SC for you. 20mpg at 187? I get 20 at 90 lol

  4. I.m.o, best two tone look on any colour zed is black roof, tinted windows, depending on spoiler, black centre otherwise colourcoded to car, if nismo front itd be either black centre or full black. People see black roof as "safe". Its that black fits in perfect for zed roof. Random colours dont work I.m.o and carbon, well I just dont like carbon vinyl at all. Even if it looks real, you still have to say "yeah its wrapped" and that extra 100 or so pound it cost to be wrapped still makes you look like you got tight wallet

  5. The way I do it (some pro wrappers on here may say diff, but if it works it works).

I do mine on my own, so I start from middle and come out one side, go round the other side of car and work middle to outter again. Always start from centre, rule of thumb for me.

If you have a second guy, hold all 4 corners and pull slightly and gently place onto roof, this will complete 30% of the job, the rest is working middle to outter.

You dont want to heat straight away (some do, I dont as I find stretching it becones harder each time you do it, and suddenly at the end you have huge piece of vinyl that you need to spend an hour remoulding to a smaller size.

I just watched around 10hours of youtube videos, and gave it a go. Plan 3 hours to do the roof if youve never wrapped before.

Wrapping is an overstated skill, you dont need trained on it. You just need time on it to understand whats happening with the vinyl. I.e. knowing when its about to crease and knowing when it looks like itll crease but u can push squeegee hard enough for it not to. Give it a go. The vinyl is only 20quid and a garage will charge 90+. It wont take you 5 attempts to get it right. 3 absolute max :) 1 if you dont rush

  6. TBH I have really enjoyed my life so far and wouldn't want anyone else's life ... My only regret is that I didn't take all of the opportunities that were available ... I can go on Google Earth and see all the projects I have had a hand in ... I have seen my sons growing into men and having good careers of their own, and I can see my grandchildren growing up ... what more could I ask for ?

    That plus a million pounds?

  7. Did anyone watch "The Rise of the Ecig" on ITV earlier today?

I didn't catch all of it so plan on watching it on ITV Player over the weekend...

By the way I've recently found a very cheap supplier of eLiquid for anyone who's interested... It's less than half price compared to other sites...

    http://vaporcraze.co.uk

They've currently got a sale on and if you use the code "Vaporcraze UK" at checkout you can get another 25% off ... they minimum order amount is £3 and delivery is free!

I've placed 3 orders in the last couple of weeks and they've all arrived within 2 days... It's worth stocking up at this price..

just out of curiosity, what mg and kit are you using? what eliquids have you used before and how do these compare? Just curious as i know alot of new sites, the eliquid isnt as good as the more experienced sites. Curious about this one as it seems a great price, just hope the liquid is upto my usual

  8. Just an update on my progress.

So far I have been using my e-cig since Saturday and haven't touched a cigarette since then. :scare: I feel like I'm actually making a break from that addiction which has been part of my life for some 23 years odd and I cannot believe I'm doing it tbh.

I've bought several different flavours of E-liquid now; Cherry, Blueberry, Energy Drink and Mixed Berries. All of which are at the lower end of the scale nicotine wise with only 9mg (0.8%).

It's really been a good week so far and I don't stink of cigarettes anymore which is probably nicer for all around me. I'm not vaping all the time either, just occasionally when I want and at the times when I used to smoke cigarettes. eg: after meals, break times in work etc

My mate actually said I look healthier as well when I saw him yesterday. Not sure if he was just being kind but I do feel better now I'm not smoking cigarettes and am just using my e-cig.

Thanks to all that recommended it as so far it's working great for me. Hopefully I can stick at it as I'm sure this is a much better habbit for me than smoking cigarettes. ;)

congrats on 2 things, one is giving up. and the other, is on 9mg. thats pretty low for a 23yr smoker. I smoked for 2years and on 24mg, but i doubled up all the time on cigarettes for 2years, between 15 and 30 a day depending what i was doing. It definetly is the way forward, and at the same time its nice to be able to modify little bits of your e-cig and care for it (cleaning etc). little past time

  9. You must have a fair bit of down time today ;)

Im trying to avoid looking at every other topic, because its all parts for sale and I'm the sort of guy who says ill be selling my car, and then buy a mod for it  Plus, i like the off topic section as its the only forum im on apart from electronic cigarette forum, and i highly doubt they care about my topics :p

  10. We all have a song that we just cant get enough of, and is on repeat for hours.

Wether its the music video or the song that grabs you, post it here for all to see :)

Heres mine: Its the music video that gets me, (not official but i like the video) and song is just chilled

Oomph - German rock band, some great songs, some okay songs. If you dont like rock, most songs wont be for you.

[if you post a song. Please provide a youtube link to click on]

  11. So, off topic. If you could live an alternative life, in a dream world style what would you live? You can use movies to try explain, i.e. would you want to be a hitman, drug dealer, getaway driver etc. Things that you obviously wouldn't do (or maybe some of you are, octet?), but what do you watch and think "god damn I'd love to have that lifestyle".

For me, I think being a trained bank robber would be a nuts lifestyle, trained to deceive people, all the money i could dream of and trying to conceal it and launder it etc. Would just be totally different. I hope im not the only psycho on here that thinks like this

What would you guys be, if you knew you could get away with it and wouldnt actually happen?

  12. Just my 2p worth on this topic. I doubt anyone on here has smoked more cigs than I have. I started at 13 or 14 years old and I'm now 63. Up to being 60, I'd never even tried to stop and for many, many years had been on 30 a day minimum. Any cigs would do, £20 a sleeves from Thailand, anything!

In early 2011, I had cause to take someone dear to me to the local cancer hospital for radiation therapy. Every day for 15 days we went and saw some right sights!

Cop a load of this. Both of us were having a smoke outside the hospital before going in, and having another smoke as soon as we got back out again. Now just tell me how daft you can get.

We both decided to quit, but the time was not right. We set April 1st as our stoping day and used the NHS local stop smoking centre, who provided patches, mints, just about whatever you wanted. Neither of us has had a cig since that date.

It can be done, and it was not as bad as I thought. BUT, you have got to want to stop. Don't **** about fooling yourself and wasting your time and possibly other people's as well. YOU HAVE TO WANT TO STOP!!

Never is a big word, but I have finished with the cigs. It was not about money, a smoker will always find that from somewhere. It was about well being.

There were people at the Stop Smoking sessions who had tried time after time and were still smoking. As far as I'm concerned, they should not have been there. They always found a good excuse for still smoking. There was even one guy ther who had lost one lung to lung cancer and he was STILL smoking.

The strange thing is that I'm not anti-smoking. If the lads at work are having a fag break I still go and stand with them to get a bit of passive, it probably never leaves you.

Another thing I didn't know was this. We only have 1 guy at our pub table now who has a smoke. When he comes back in the pub from smoking, HE STINKS. I must have smelled like him for 40 odd years.

I ofter make a statement which I believe to be true, although the staff at the Stop Smoking sessions told it wasn't. Every smoker, if they could wake up tomorrow and be a non smoker, would! The staff told me it is only 70% but I don't believe them, I think it is 100%

Last comment. When I knew I was going to stop somehow, I went to the first session, which was just to see how things worked. There was a guy there who had stopped smoking about 6 months previously and who popped in periodically to touch base. He was a bit younger than me, but had a similar sized habit/addiction. He inspired me! I saw no reason why he and I were really different, if he could crack it - I could (and did) I now go back there periodically on the off chance that someone could be inspired by me.

    Steve

I think you nailed it on the head about smokers wanting to be non-smokers. I like the throat hit and cant see myself coming off nicotine in the near future as i do enjoy it. However, if i could turn back time, i would have never picked up a cigarette in the first place and id be non-smoker. But, because ive found the throat hit a nice feeling, i still want that. the cigarettes are just a bad health problem and money issue. Once the ecigs become an issue, i either move onto something different or quit completely.

  13. Has anybody used the MVP2 battery? Im on UKVapers forum and seen constant recommendations for it. My batteries at the moment (evod) are rubbish i.m.o, always highly likely to break. 14. Depending on age, you can apply to the RAF as a pilot. Actually passing from what ive heard, isnt too hard. Its just getting in. Do your 6years (or 9, depends on contract), then you can leave and practically walk into commercial pilot earning double the wage. However, it is all age dependant. Last time i checked, 23 was the oldest. Driving a zed, im presuming your older than that?

  15. Middle part just stays up on its own, tiny amount of sag but not really a big concern - for mine I simply undone the bolts and if you look at the steel bumper bar there are two holes already there, I bent the bumper up and stuck two M8/M6 (cant remember which) bolts through the clips still attached to the bumper and into the holes in the steel rear bumper bar. Worked a treat for me :)

    BumperTuck.jpg

Uh these pics just set me off, ill be getting on this tonight and have a little look, ill cable tie first, see how it looks and if i like people seeing that part of exhaust, then ill grab some clips :) If my middle sags, ill have a little play around. I cant drill into bumper as i always think about when i sell, but it looks good outcome without touching middle.
