Thanks for the tips, I always check it's warmed up correctly before any spirited driving but it could be a plan to get a blanking plate for the winter, are they easy enough to fit?
Evening all!
I've been underneath the car tonight and have noticed some aftermarket/non-standard pipework! Followed it and found a nice after-market oil cooler, looks like a Mishimoto (sp?) piece of kit as well as some ducting to it.
Obviously this is good as I was wanting to get one for track use anyway, question is will it hold up to track use? I've noticed temperature climbs up when spirited driving but guessing it's thermostatic possibly to get it up to temp but it shouldn't go any higher?
Any advice appreciated, obviously it's a bonus it's there unless it turns out to be useless!!
Evening all (apologies if posting in the wrong section, wasn't sure where this fitted!)
I replaced my battery yesterday and noticed the clamp holding the battery in place wasn't doing its job very well, turns out the bolt which it's meant to join to at the back is missing, I believe it's a strange L shape clip or something similar?
I didn't know if anyone had the part number for this so I can get one ASAP!
Afternoon all!
Been looking around for options for intakes as i'm after something to give it a bit more of a roar (had a JWT on my old 350z) and i've come across:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Typhoon-Dual-Cold-Air-Intake-System-FOR-09-15-Nissan-370Z-08-13-Infiniti-G37-/322112649287?hash=item4aff68f847:g:OC8AAOSwxehXPCQT
What are people's thoughts? Looks similar to a K&N?
The 370z was detailed over the weekend, standard wash, de-tar, exhaust polished, wheels cleaned, clay and machine polished. Looking as good as it was 25,000 miles ago when I picked her up from the garage!
Photos below:
Red Funnel are generally cheaper (Southampton to east cowes).
Wightlink do Portsmouth to Fishbourne and Lymington to Yarmouth. Whichever company you use be sure to request to be on the lower deck when you turn up to the terminal, I made the mistake of not and bottomed my old 350z out on a ferry!
It's good, if you do a Friday - Sunday/Monday you'd be able to see the majority, lots of nice pubs over here, roads aren't fantastic but gradually getting resurfaced, Military Road has to be driven just for the view.
Shanklin is a good shout to stay at, Sandown isn't so great these days. New Premier inn in lake is worth a look I've heard its quite cheap to stay there and its a good location. Let me know if any other questions!
That's cool, it was the first time in ages i'd driven that way to work and I wondered if you were an islander doing a commute and i'd just never seen it! Pretty sure mine is the only 370z over here!
Driving though Godshill this morning (14/6) saw a grey 370z with a private plate! Not seen another one for about a year on the Island! Even got a wave too!
Looking to upgrade the stock intake on my 370z.
I've heard good things about upgrading just the filters? Thing is I have a Tanabe Medalion Exhaust and i'm looking for a bit more of an engine roar!
I've seen these (below) on eBay, didn't know if they were any good?

Hi everyone! I have a 370z (non-GT) which has a damaged wing mirror, it's only minor but it's bugging me! It's both the casing and the edge part of the actual unit so a whole unit is needed.
I have looked online and the mirrors on eBay USA seem a lot cheaper than eBay UK or direct from Nissan! I didn't know if they have the same mirrors over there and if it will be ok to purchase a US spec mirror and have it fitted?
Hi everyone! Looking at lowering my 370z, am running 18s so the arch gap is a bit excessive!!
I didn't want to lower too much as the plastic lip scrapes on bumps as it is, also I wanted to get some springs which won't need other parts fitted (take it will just need tracking doing and then it'll be done?!)
Any feedback/ideas appreciated!
Yes!
You might need rear camber arms to pull the alignment back in. But I have heard from a few members that it can be brought just within tolerances using the stock adjustments. However I know some use the rear camber arms.
That's great, many thanks!
Stunning blue 370z by the way!
