We run more Ignition timing with decats , fitting CATS slows the flow up so therefore you could cause damage. Especially while running flat out , knock control is turned off over 4800 rpm. no you should be okay as the car in stock calibration is tuned very safely. Thanks mark! Is it normal to have a really strong smell from the exhaust? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Question for the mappers, mapped for decats running cats

I have just put on decats and I'm not mapped. Am I causing any damage by doing so? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Hi guys I just fitted cobra decats non silenced. And since this I am getting strong smell of exhaust fumes in the cabin. Also when in idle under hard acceleration there a grey/blueish smoke coming from the tailpipes. The smell is really bad. I have a video but don't know how to add it. I'm concerned that I may be doing damage to my car! There is a leak in my y pipe which is drawing in air and making a really loud noise too. Any help would be appreciated! Cheers Steven Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi guys. Anyone know where to buy a new sump and gasket for a de? Went to do my oil change and when I tightened the plug I over tightened and stripped it! Silly billy!
-
Rich - yes mate I believe it to be that one. That's a very reasonable price. 👠Ebized - it just happened 2 days ago. I change the oil every 3k miles. I did a little research into the problem and on the us forum a member said to check the pressure when car is not running. It should read 0psi. If it's anymore then it's the oil pressure switch. I hope that's the only problem! There's no oil leaks and the level is spot on.
-
Hi guys. Today's problem is my oil pressure gauge. I believe it's the oil pressure sender unit that's faulty but if someone could confirm id be more than grateful. When engine running at the start oil pressure is 120+psi. When ignition on and not running it's at 60psi. If it is the sender unit how much for one and has anyone or any? Cheers in advance

Hi guys just an update on this. Thanks for everyone's help I've managed to fix it. I pulled the relay out and swapped with the front fog relayí ½í¸±. The throttle relay had bad corrosion on one of the pins. I've cleared the codes and she's going well. Hopefully that's the last of my problem. Thanks to everyone who contributed. This is why I love this forum, very helpful and informative

Thanks very much for your reply. How do I check if it's the relay, If I can't swap it for another?

Oh and it's a 2005 gt4. 93000 miles

Hi guys I've had a search through the forum and saw a couple of replies for my issue. It's codes p1122 and p1126. I've had it for a while now. When I've had it in the past I've reset the ecu and relearned throttle position and all of that. It happened last week and I managed to sort it. But it happened again last night and wouldn't reset. I tried 7 or 8 times then eventually I had a throttle response. I went to car this morning and it struggled to start and when it did I had the same problem. No revs and eml, tcs and ESP lights all on. I'm not sure where the relay for the throttle control is to check that. I have a Bosch kts 200 from my work to check live data and stuff Any help or info on this problem would be greatly appreciated Steve

Cheers for the responses! I can't get a 245 to fit! A 255/35 is a bit of a squeeze too. I don't like the stretched look as I prefer to stay safe! I do rag her about a bit!! Tyres are my only contact with the road so that's why I would like to keep with michelins. Maybe 255/35 fronts and 275/35 rears? Would that affect the traction control system do you think?

Is that 255/35z18?

As the title suggests I have 4 10jx18" wheels. I'm looking for tyres now. 😞 I've got the standard size gt4 alloys wrapped in michelins pilot super sports (which are awesome!). My problem is to keep the same rolling circumference I need 255/40 at the front and 275/40 on the rear. But there aren't any michelin a in these sizes! What's the next 'best' tyres for these sizes? Or can someone suggest a different staggered setup that won't trigger tcs? Thanks

Cool worth a shot mate. If I had an extra £400 I'd have them! GLWS!

Would you be willing to part exchange for gt4 alloys with michelin pilot super sports on?
