Think i'll get these as mines are the old yellow ones and don't go with the dipped lights. How easy are they to fit? as when i changed the indicator bulbs to chrome ones, all the rest looked like they would require to either remove the light or go up through the wheel arch. Why design stuff like this?

I reset it at the start of the week and it hasn't come back on,so can't be totally nakred. Getting the two sensors from Alex anyway so if it does come on i'll just swap them over. Too much sensors on modern cars!

ECU light came on last night Got the code check with a obd2 reader and its coming up as a P1167 (Heated O2 Sensor 2) Reset the ECU and the light as stayed off for now. Guessing I'll need a new sensor but is their anything else worth checking that could throw this error up? Am i right in guessing by sensor 2 its the post cat O2 sensor? if so how do i know which one? Thanks for help guys, I'll be for the price of a sensor since in my experiance thats usually whats wrong.

Dropped the car off this morning. He used to be auto visuals at the brickie in whitecross but hes moved to bo'ness but don't know if he still uses the name auto visuals. I'll stick some pics up when i pick the car up on wednesday hopefully sinces hes doing a fair amou of the panels and fitting a spoiler, Itl either looks as good as new or like a patchwork quilt.

The two outer nuts are only locking nuts. Mark the center nut, loosen the two outer nuts, Make your adjustement to the center nut by however much you want(sorry cant remember which way tightens and which loosens,you can tell by looking at the treads or just give it a turn and it will be obvious if you cant tell by looking). Once your happy with your new position tighten the two locking nuts. Its a doddle mate you'll be fine and finished in less than a minute

The one's with the 14mm nuts are 10M x 1.25(checked with a thread guage). I know as i damaged the start of the thread on one holding the strutbrace when removing it to gain access to get to the spark plugs just about a week ago. I couldn't get a die that size at work but luckily one of the turners had a thred file the correct size so tidyed it up with that. So an educated guess would say M8 x 1.25. Hopefully someone can confirm this. The x 1.25 at the end is the thread pitch

Sorted! and no bits left over. Its actually pretty easy with the guide. Didn't do the ipod hack though as could't get the right wire

Just reserved a cheap soldering iron from maplin and will give this a go on saturday morning if i can get it ripped out after work today. so prepair for a thread tommorow morning saying help!!

I will keep you in mind. I have the car booked into a bodyshop i have used before once i managed to track down his new location. so will see how that turns out then I will need a few paint corrections and a good polish and wax to finish the car off. Thanks

I read that guide before posting, was unsure if it would be easier and not cost too much to just put a different one in. But i suppose i could always give it a try and if i make a mess of it then i'll be left to buy a new one. as for huskey's guide i've done some soldering a few years back when i did a bit of sparky training and it was messey! but if i had the unit out and in a million bits then why not? just need to buy a ipod to go with it

I will be changing the head unit sometime in the near future to get rid of the left speakers cutting out problem. Now i'm not very good when it comes to ICE or eletrics so after a few searches it seems that replacing the head unit will solve the left speaker issue's and the skipping(not happned yet) is this correct? If so how much does this usually cost by the time you buy a Head unit,looms,facia etc? I wouldn't be after anything fancy just something that plays CD's and the radio that still works through the steering wheel. thanks for helping

Awsome, i'm sure i seen some scarp bits of plastic about the right thickness lying about at work so will get myself a wee bit and glue it on on Tuesday when i'm back at work.

Great guide, I did mine thismorning only took 5min. was dreading it after reading other guides untill is saw this one with actual pictures and it was a breeze just a bit akward!! How did you connect the plastic spacer to your pedal? I thouch of just super glue but don't know how that will stand up to vibration etc. mine is just touching the sensor but not enough to activate it so will need to do something about that.

Definately a good jump! s2000 are nice and more power than the civic and rear wheel drive. Its a GT so has the eletric heated seats, bose cd player and what ever else is standard for the gt.

Just got the plugs and belts from alex aswell to do my own service same as coldel apart from the brakes as they've been done lately. so busy day tommorow

I'm not a member of the AA so nothing for me, I've lost the bit of paper with his quote but it was about £480, autoscratch.co.uk quoted me £90 over the phone for the scuff and said they would do the chips for free seems too cheap to be of a good quality work. anyone used them? or does anyone know any good body shops in the area as google doesn't throw up too much. Could do with a good polish from someone who can actually do it unlike me so any local valets i would be intrested in knowing about. Cheers

Finally got myself a zed! not got any pics yet but will get it clean and the few chips and scuff sorted and will be servicing it tomorrow hopefully if the weather holds up. Still getting used to it but so far its a beast to drive So waiting on chips away giving me a quote, If anyone knows of any companies local to falkirk that are any good? From this to this All serviced now just need a new air filter, paint sorted and a good polish and wax

I'll drop zmanalex a message later if he doesn't see this thred, by that time i should have a better idea of what i need. I forgot about the belts! How much are the two belts roughly? and are they hard to fit? I wasn't sure if the diff and the gearbox used the same oil so thats handy that they do.

Hi folks, In the negotiation stages of getting a zed, it needs a few touch ups and a full service so want to get prepaird and take advantage of opie oils sale if the sale gets wrapped up tonight. Its an 04 reg with 55k and a full service history. Had a look through the paperwork but it doesn't state whats been done at the services brake fluid,coolant, sparkplugs etc. From what i've read the spark plugs should have been done at the last service but they wern't on the receipt so will just do them anyway to be sure. I've had a look on opie oils as I used them when servicing my type r so trust what they list as suitable and the amount required, But thought its always safe to double check with the people in the know. So if you's could reccomend whats best i'd appreciate it. So from my reaserch i'll need; Engine oil, 5L and some for top up? & filter Gearbox oil 3 or 4L? Diff fluid, 1.5L? 6 Spark plugs brake fluid, no idea how much coolant, 9L i think? Has an induction kit so will pick up a new cone when i ge the size's for it Anything i've forgot? Thanks for any help guys

Looked at a car today and think i may go ahead with it, just needs a scuff and a few stone chips repaired and the bose head unit changed at sompoint as it skips when cold and the left speakers cuts out every now and then. That would just leave me to do the 55k service which i would do my self. I'm sure i read here that a member on here can do free HPI checks and wondred if he could do one for me on this car SL 04 BHF. thanks if you can

Seen car today, looks pretty good apart from the scuff and chips but will probibly ask the seller to get them fixed as part of the sale deal. Bose unit has the usual fault with skipping when cold and ocasional left speakers cutting out so may need that replaced in the future. Due a service in 1000miles so would do that myself. have to mull it over and make a decison soon
