Just don't polish the intake to a mirror finish. A small amount of roughness is best for air flow. Read up on boundary layers and laminar air flow if you fancy boring yourself to death. To be honest, there will be half of **** all difference anyway. Do it for fun, not for extra ponies.

Might have been uprev mapped before your ownership? That would remove the CEL.

I thought the fuel pump was behind the passenger seat? Although that wire turned out to be fuel level sensor Yes, if you have a pic that would be great - do you know which colour is +ve or -ve? Iv taken apart the fuse box and loads of interior to try and trace it back! If any thief demands you start the car in the middle of the night, could pop on a gimp mask and tell them you've been waiting for this moment for a long time. Should do the trick.

Hi all, Has anyone fitted a fuel cut off/defender switch on their zee? Im struggling to find the wire that provides power to the fuel pump. The plan is to splice a switch into the power and hide it. The manual keeps sending me round in circles! For those wondering what im doing: To stop thieving scum from stealing my keys and taking the beloved zee, a manual fuel cut off can be turned off when not driving. When the thief tries to start up, no power is supplied to the fuel pumps and hopefully they give up. Thanks for any help!

May I ask where you bought spacers and longer studs from? For that kind of money, its worth doing just to pass some time.

Hi all, Just wanted to share the results from my stock as a rock 03 noise test recently. I wanted to go to croft but the 88Db limit has everyone worried so I got the guys from TCE track day club to test mine. Method: Sound level meter held down the centreline of the car, 1 meter away from the tip. Slowly increased the revs to 4300 (3/4 of max revs). Result: 84Db @4300rpm Its higher than I expected for a stock car but im happy. What kind of results is everyone else getting with different mods?

I tried programming a new key for my car. Doesnt work. It seems the key has to be an original key for your car before it can be reprogrammed. Only option I have found so far is to get the dealer to programme the non original it for you. Not cheap mind

I had a similar problem removing the blade because the wiper arm wouldn't rotate away from the window more than a few inches. Not sure if thats the same issue you have? There is a little tab on the wiper arm that stops it from rotating so I just yanked it through the tab. This allowed the arm to rotate 90 degrees and plenty more space to wiggle the wiper blade off the arm.

Any chance something inside the box bock has rusted through or broken off and rattling around? Take it off and give it a good shake. Engine light can be fixed with a non fouler. ZMANALEX sells them I believe

I borrowed a cheapo unresonated ebay decat to test the sound and it was awful. It also had the flange holes opened up because of the poor fitment. Im sure your budget will stretch to a second hand resonated one.

Ah ha. You found the problem - no transponder...and all without even looking at it. My original key has one, just didnt notice it . Cor do I feel spesh now. I thought the transponder was used just to deactivate the immobilizer. Didn't realise it also sent out the signal to the central locking? Any ideas where I can get one from? Thanks a bunch rtbiscuit.

Hi all, Does anyone know if Nissan changed the key fob type between 2003 and 2011? Reason for asking; I bought a new key fob from fleabay and was told it was fresh from the factory. I tried to reprogramme it to my 03 UK Zee and it didnt make the lights flash as they're supposed to when programming. However, there is a slight difference on the back cover. The original 2003 key has a flat Nissan logo and has written: Siemens VDO 5WK4 818 433Mhz. The new 2011 key has a raised logo and has written: Siemens VDO 5WK4 876/818 433Mhz. Anyone have the 2011 style key working on an earlier car? Thanks for any help!

The name seems to have just stuck with me since - although it does become a bit awkward when selling cars Love the Zee too much to do anything stupid. TC is still firmly stuck ON!
