My mate got a quote from a company he knows of £900 to do his scooby. You can have any design you want as its just printed on the special 'Memory' Vinyl. Its so called memory vinyl cos if anything goes wrong with it, it can simply be heated and reshaped, unlike normal vinyl. It is supposed to be very cost effective but you would get that lovely deep shine you would with paint.

£37 for 2 keys Stan the guy in Timpsons said they can code any key as long as they have a blank one to start with, he said it would cost me at least £70 for one at Vauxhall. They do 1 for £25 or 2nd half price which i though was good. They just read the code in the chip and copy it to the new keys, takes like 10 secs per key

As soem of you know ive only just bought a Astra shed for a run around. Today i went to Tescos to do some shopping, came out and opened the boot, and the key snapped like it was made of butter. I was just about to phone the AA and then i remembered that there is a Timpsons right next door to Tescos. So i went in there with the 2 parts of the key and luckily they were able to make me two new keys and code them for me. Took the guy about a minute to do and cost me £37. So all in all a lucky outcome to what could of been a long wait for the AA and a expensive trip doen at Vauxhall

to the forums Its a great time to buy a zed right now as you can pick up a great example really cheap. Zummertor has pretty much summed up everything but from what ive seen and heard they are a good solid and reliable car, well as cars go Only advice i would offer is seeing as its a buyers merket out there right now, dont fall for the first one you see. The drive alone in any 350z will put a smile on your face and make you utter the famous words "where do i sign". Take your time and find the best example you can for the money. Just been out to see a few friends as ive been stuck in the house for about a month now and i have to say it felt amazing to be mobile again. The Astra drives really nice to be honest, slow as hell but is really quite a good little town car. I think ill keep it even when i get my Zed back, insurance is only £230 for the year which is now paid, its got 12 months MOT and tax is due before the end of the year and is prob around £200 for 12 months. So for £430 i should hopefully get a years use out of it and thats not even mentioning the money i would save not using the Zed day to day. Makes sense really

Just thought id share my news. As my car is delayed once again, this time for around 5/6 weeks and seeing as it is the bodyshop in about a million pieces i decided to buy a run around. I bought from a friend of a friend a P Reg (97) Vauxhall Astra Estate. It has 12 months MOT, 4 months tax, a new exhaust and 2 brand new tyres. Its only done 85K miles and i paid £300 for it, am quite chuffed. Its great to drive a car you really dont give a @*!# about.
