  1. Wait, what?

So you're complaining about receiving a ticket for overstaying in a car park intended for customers of a store you didn't even end up using?!

You're right, that does sound petty.

    What??

I spent 2 hours in the furniture store buying goods, then went for lunch at a near by place, I then drove home. 2 weeks later I received the charge, contacted the store to complain, they did nothing, so I cancelled my order. Got my money back and then bought the goods from there website.

  2. So I started this thread a good few weeks ago now and to date I've had my initial letter with a reduced charge for prompt payment, then the second letter for full amount.

Today i got a third letter with the charge now £130 and threading legal action from their solicitors and the thread of a CCJ!

I still haven't acknowledged any of the letters but its starting to hack me off!!

Advice is still IGNORE in Scotland - please don't fall into their trap and contact them even if you're just in the mood of a good row - you'll just get put to the top of their 'harass' list and the letters will increase in addition to calls. The letters will stop.

Thanks Vik, I've never even had a parking ticket in my life. I cancelled the order for the goods I bought that day at a furniture store. As I work weekends i always try to do things like shopping mid morning on a weekday. The car park was empty and I ended up spending longer than I wanted buying furniture then went for lunch.

I did order the furniture from there website second time round but at least the store didn't get my order. Sounds petty but if they had fought my corner I would have been happy.

  3. What did the shop you bought the furniture from say?

They contacted the centre management on my behalf but they unfortunately are inundated with such issues regarding the car park. The manager called me and said to post a copy of my receipt to Highview, but couldn't guarantee it would get dropped as Highview are a separate company in the business of making money.

I thought about sending it but don't want to acknowledge them as advised on here.

  5. I know its imaginary, but I'd love to live in Kings landing. I'd be constantly up to no good!

There is one place I would be all day every day  And I think we all know where that is.....;)

I'd be skint. But happy! Lol.

I'd run about with that wee Tyrion Lannister all day.

  6. I don't watch much TV but started watching it on sky boxsets. Watched session 1,2 and 3. Can't wait for session 4 to start tonight. Session 3 episode 9 was an absolute shocker, still not got over it! Lol.

I've downloaded session 1 and 2 of 24. Going to start watching that soon. Then I'll download next 5 sessions. Only problem is my sky box is nearly full with 3 sessions of game of thrones and 2 sessions of 24!

Is that the Red Wedding episode?

    24 is Awesome! - Elisha Cuthbert ;)

    Yeah, totally didn't expect that!

There's something on after session 4 episode 1 tonight. Think its a throne cast??

  8. Didn't go to Infiniti after all!

I had a problem with the clutch/gearbox. They changed clutch and flywheel under warranty. It didn't fix the fault, so after persevering for a few months i wanted it fixed properly. They booked it in for today and the mechanic was going to take it to a BMW garage for a second opinion. He was also going to change the gearbox oil. The only problem I've got is that they want me to now pay for the gearbox oil change etc.

I contacted a BMW dealer and independent and they all confirmed that the gearbox oil shouldn't be changed as its a life time oil and they never need to change it unless they strip a gearbox for repairs.

Although my car is still under warranty, i'm thinking about either taking it to BMW or an independent myself!

  9. Might be the EX you get. Not the best lookin' thing but you'll be pleasantly surprised how nice a car it is lol Still wouldn't have one though lol

i was hoping for the FX Vettel edition thats in the showroom! Lol.
  10. only joking guys. People work hard and should get paid for overtime. I work in NHS and although I never do any overtime, the guys i work with do and always get paid for it at enhanced rates.

We don't get paid overtime ~ we get time in lieu. But it's bo**ocks because we never get to take the time off that we are owed as there is a constant stream of incoming work. It's hard enough at times just to get our paid holidays off when we want. :byebye:

I work in research & product design development as an advanced manufacturer so some of the clients we deal with are high profile which obviously means we can't afford to let them down by not meeting deadlines for work completion. It's an interesting & rewarding job which I love but because there are only a few of us involved with this overtime is often required of us regardless of whether we get paid for it or not.

Plus I don't get paid that well for my normal hours of work anyway but that should be changing soon providing my boss keeps to his word. *fingers crossed*

sounds interesting mate. Hopefully you get the pay rise you deserve. I'm an Environmental Health officer but haven't worked in that field for years. Worked part time in NHS for 18 years now only on Saturdays and Sundays. I'm just about finished a post grad in occupational safety and health, so I'll be hopefully taking on a job in that field soon. But I'll keep my weekend job going because I really enjoy it.
