  1. My car is in for a P2 service and MOT (Firsway Nissan Leigh) and they advised me that the spark plugs are due for replacement at a cost of £186. Car mileage is about 57000. I know they're a bit awkward to replace but this seems inordinately high. Anyone else got any quotes on this job? Cheers.
  2. I notified my insurance, telling them that I am replacing the OEM exhaust due to corrosion and replacing it with a stainless steel exhaust. I told them that there would be no change in BHP but they asked me what BHP it is at the moment. On the check at RS Tuning with plenum spacer and Uprev, it was 293BHP. I asked her how accurate that needs to be and she told me that if I think that there IS going to be a power increase, I need to get it checked and let them know the new BHP. So it looks like I may need to pay a visit to Paul after all. Any idea what Paul charges for just a tune and a run on the Dyno?
  3. Cheers m8. I'll suck it and see.
  4. I have a 55 plate Z. My OEM exhaust split near the back last week. I'm booked in at a place to get a custom made stainless steel exhaust fitted. A few months ago I got the Uprev reflash and plenum spacer fitted at RS Tuning. Will I need to go back to Paul and get it retuned after the new exhaust has been fitted? Any advice will be appreciated.
  5. He IS actually aware of something that most people are not. Both parties in America (Republicans and Democrats) are run by a cartel of corporations and private banks. They also run the three political parties (at top level) in the UK. Gives us that illusion of electing a government. He knows we're all being conned.

    My new Zed

Looking smart. It's sacrilege that a car like this should get mistreated by ANYONE. They should have it forcibly taken away and forced to drive a Ford Mondeo for the rest of their natural life.

    My First Z

Including VAT, £468. That's for the Uprev flash and fitting of the plenum spacer. It doesn't include the cost of the plenum spacer which was a shade over £200. Living in a Manchester postcode, I struggled to get insurance once I had modified the car. Cheapest insurance I could get after shopping around everywhere was £945 with Adrian Flux. That's for a 46 year old with 12 years no claims and just one SP30 on my licence.

    My First Z

Bought this six weeks ago. Got the Uprev reflash and plenum spacer both done by RS Tuning. 293.4BHP on the rolling road. Drives like a dream! And that sound! Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  9. I bought my Z from a dealer a little over a month ago. I have the statutory 3 month warranty only. When I travel at speed and LIGHTLY touch the brakes, there is a little bit of a shudder through the brake pedal. This shudder is not present with medium to heavy braking. It originally did it with more aggressive braking so I took it back to the dealer last week. However, it had seemed to ease off and the mechanic test driving it with me couldn't really feel any problem. They took it in the workshop and had a look at all the discs and said they were all fine except for a little line of rust on one of them. Is this just pad deposits or rust that is correcting itself or should I take it back again and ask them to check for disc thickness variation? Cheers.
  10. I'm actually with Adrian Flux as they gave the cheapest quote at £945!!!! I'll do a year with them and shop around again as I'll have owned the car claim free for 12 months.
  11. Sky won't touch the Manchester postcode.
  12. Cheers. With the insurance quotes I've been getting, I feel like an 18 year old chav with a string of convictions rather than a 46 year old coffin dodger with 12 years no claims and 15 years experience driving a performance car. Your insurance should be about £250 to £300 -try Privilege or Admiral Tried Admiral. With my mods (plenum spacer and Uprev) got quoted £988 mainly because of my Manchester postcode. Most companies would not even give me a quote on a modified vehicle. I actually live in a nice area.

  14. For insurance purposes, I just want to make sure that I've got everything declared. I have the GT pack but it's got Rays alloys on the car. Is this part of the spec or do I have to declare a wheel modification? I'm assuming the Brembo brakes are part of the stock spec. Cheers.
  15. I mentioned to both that I was from the 350z UK forum.
  16. We all need to vote UKIP and get out of the EU dictatorship. We're ruled from abroad now, thanks to the Lisbon Treaty. I bet Adolf Hitler is so envious. He could have carried out his plan without firing a shot.
  17. Any mods m8? Most of the young guys in their early twenties with mods on the car are getting lower rates than I am.
  18. Why the hell did I get quoted £988 with Admiral? 46 years old 12 years no claims Garaged Intake manifold mod (plenum spacer) ECU mod (Uprev) Manchester postcode Is it the Manchester postcode despite me living in a nice area?

  20. I got a knockback from ChrisKnott. I can't remember whether it was because of the Manchester postcode or if it was because of a high volume of claims with that particular model of car. Those are the two knockbacks I had from two different companies. One from each. And I'm 46 with 12 years no claims and keep it garaged!!! It may not be the car which is high risk, it may well be the Garage you are storing it in? There's been an increase in garage theft these days you know.... On a serious note, insurance has become a complete joke just like petrol prices, sooner or later we will all be getting the bus for journeys we make.... oh what a sad day that would be.... And don't even start me on the fraudulent climate science! Carbon Trading rolls in the cash for the Rothschild private bank. I can't believe I'm living on a planet that taxes you for Carbon, a natural, beneficial gas. I still remember the drawings from my O level Biology of how CO2 benefits the planet. Now Science has been hijacked by the banks and corporations that control all 3 parties of the British government. Carbon Dioxide forms a mere 5% of total greenhouse gases and only 0.1% is actually generated by Man. We're being scammed. Two enemies have been created. Climate change and Terrorists. And we, the public, are both of those.
  21. I tried Dr Colorchip and it was a right load of bollocks. I bought the roadrash kit and followed the directions and applied it to the plastic bumper on the front. It said smear it over with a lint free cloth but it looked like it made a right mess. I left it for five minutes and then used the Sealit provided to remove excess paint. When I finally removed the messy haze, it looked no different. Load of shite.

  23. I categorised it with Admiral as an intake manifold mod and also added the Engine chip mod. My quote was £988. 46 years old. 12 years no claims. Garaged. Manchester postcode (I bet this is the problem although I'm in a nice area) Only myself to drive. I eventually took a quote from Adrian Flux at £945. Why's it so damned high? Must be the postcode.
