  1. What spoiler do you have?

I had this issue with the Nismo v1 spoiler and added 3p in each spring wrapped in insulation tap - still got the weight in and on original struts. Then I gumm'ed the spring rubbers hoping they don't damage the paint work and all is good so far.

Another trick is to use sticky back foam cut in circles on the underneath where the springs land. They cushion the springs and though over time will wear, a sheet of this sticky foam will last a while to just replace when/if. Used to do this on some of my previous cars to make sure the paintwork never got damaged.

  2. I've been umming and arghing for a while over a few options: Porsche Cayman S, Evo X or super charging the 350Z - however I've now added the 370z as a possibility and hoping to test drive shortly.

Ruled out all BMW options, though outside they look great, power is amazing the inside for me is soooooo boring !

I'd love to go to 996 territory but just don't think I can afford it yet

  3. Hi Mick

I went last year and fell in love with the place!

We did 5 nights and I wish I'd managed to afford another 2 :(. Whatever you do don't fly BA they were crap! My Virgin experiences are much better (suit you!)

The Andaz in Wall Street is an amazing hotel - highly recommend.

    Some highlights of trip:

    Statue of Liberty

    The beast boat trip

Def do the 3 sightseeing bus trip routes and the night tour is amazing

    Top of the rock

    Watch jersey boys

    Watch the Mormons

Movie tour (photos of ghostbusters fire station! Sweet!)

    The ride (hilarious fun!)

    Cycle over the bridges

Horse and carriage through Central Park

Play the "big" piano in Schwarz

Visit to Tiffanys (but you will spend a fortune!)

And the churches there are amazing inside

Def recommend a metro card for the tube - so easy to get everywhere!

Avoid food in Times Square - so expensive and full of rude foreign waitresses! However amazing place to eat is the A salt and battery - it's a British chip shop which was fantastic!

Umm any other advice/help just ask! Lol did quite a bit of research before going! Hoping to go back in 2 years!

  4. Hi All

Had the 350Z for around a year and a half and decided that it doesn't have enough kick from me. I've been looking around at the forced induction options and having had a turbo car in the past, I fancy a change and going super charger.

However my 350Z is a rev-up model and looking at all the FI cars here and the power I'm starting to really think I should have saved my money bought a DE version and still have roughly the same power output if I go down the SC route? I'd also save on the road tax?

Is there actually any advantage to having a revup if super charging?

  5. Agree with RT - I personally would like a drop off solution - not aware of many garages to me that would be willing to take this in let alone I'd trust but always hear good stories about Abbey, Horsham and RT!

Any reason why GTM is being preferred? Is it a better set up than a Vortech? Only reason I'm asking is I'm waying up the costs if going FI compared to a different car and alike

  6. I was in the same dilemma about 2 years ago!

Loved the looks of the Z4M coupe but had always wanted a 350z as well.

Test drove both and personally for me the 350z was far more comfortable, drove better and the interior was far superior! I couldn't believe how bad, basic and cheap the Beemer looked inside.

I've been looking round other cars last couple of months and did test dive an M3 which was amazing to drive but again the interior for me was shocking :(
