Hmmmm interesting...
Think you'll have a lot of interest here for this - as SC/TS don't seem to be coming up as much now.... I know I for one am very interested in going down the FI route and thus decided not to bother with anything else now!
If you can upload the bracket pic that would be great - anyone know if this is something that Abbey would be happy to take on and fit?
-
DB - is that a 2003/04 engine or 2006?
if 2006 surely a 7bhp increase from a chip isn't great?
Was looking at getting my 2006 DE (300bhp) chipped and was hoping for more than 7bhp

Dave - you've got some seriously gorgeous cars there!
Def need to arrange a visit up to see some of them - that 996 in Yellow was stunning
-
Hmmmm maybe I should bury the hatchet and give them a try again.....
eh - maybe we could all arrange a mini meet to get our cars repaired! lol
-
Thanks Dave!
Ian the place on City Road, that's not the replacement for AutoImage is it, owned by Chris?
They used to be great and their work is normally very good. However an incident with the owner not paying after I did a load of web work for him has ummm left me avoiding the place
I used to love AutoWorx in Treforest while Shaun owned them but alas he's moved on as well ;( are we losing all the good chaps around here?

Ah that's a good point especially with the curves on that top!
-
Hi Dave
Thanks for that! Blackwood isn't too far if it's a good job
If you can send the details that would be great - cant beat a recommendation!
-
That's a bloody good idea!
Was thinking of trying a 5x5cm square of vinyl on the engine cover (like a sticker!) first.
-
Ah! I get it! Lol my bad!
The problems with typing a title on the iPad!
Ian - company is Upscale Automotive in Cardiff. Just round the corner from the porsche garage

Eh? I'm confused.com!

Hi
Contacted a reputable body shopping Cardiff for some work on the 350z.
The previous owner unfortunately scratched the bottom of both nismo side skirts
so getting them sanded down, filled and resprayed.
While I'm at it Im thinking of deburgering the car - so front nimso mk1 bumper, filled, and resprayed to remove stone chips, etc.
Finally rear burger removed and welded, painted. Then the reverse sensors sprayed and the middle two cleaned up as they aren't fitting quite right.
All to be resprayed in gun metal.
Had a quote of £1k all done and baked - it sounds a bit expensive to me but just wanted to her your opinions of possible.
Any help much appreciated been out of the body styling game for a while so not sure what prices are nowadays.

Hi all
Just wondering if anyone has tried vinyl wrapping their engine cover?
Would it work or does it get just too hot in there?

Hi all
Possibly a long shot but after a few parts for both in and out of the car
Been let down by eBay and 2x dismantles from parts gateway
Don't think They'll be model dependent so feel free to offer
Interior:
1. Set of tweeter/wing mirror triangles - don't care on condition as going to mould new aftermarket tweeters into them.
2. Up rev centre dashboard (only one model dependent)
3. Non gt driver rear cover (where the sub would go)
4. Passenger storage shelf - going to fit where sub is
5. Driver rubber seal round door - top seal
Exterior parts:
1. covers for the screw hole on the scuttle panel drivers side
Any help locating this items is much appreciated!
Thanks
Craig

Hi All
Great news I did indeed sort it!
It was the top right (i.e. driver's side) bolt/clip for the boot that was causing the leak!
Water was running down underneath the light and then through this hole! So I took it apart, bit of gaffa tape to cover hole (then small slit in tape), applied a tiny bit of silicone sealant and viola all resolved!
I've even finding the car isn't missing up anywhere near what it was now which is even better!
Thanks for all your help

Hi
Really interested in the mrev and spacer.
Planning on the adding Berks hfc and up rec remap soon so would work perfect
Are these hard to fit? I've done the polished plenum so managed that! Lol or would it be better getting a garage to fit?!
-
Oh did think - I'll try now
Thanks
Craig

Hi all
Started taking my door trims off and realised that some of the clips aren't looking great! None broke but getting there.
However before I continue does anyone know where I can get some replacement ones ready for refitting?
Looked on eBay but can't see any
Any helps much appreciated

Count me in if I'm allowed!
Used to attend Castle Combe every year with the Ford lot for RS Owners day - been going for at least 8 or so years!
-
Same price!
Just that's for one seat
-
Lots and lots planned having only picked it up sept last year!
1. Fit grounding kit
2. Fit carbon engine cover
3. Fit cookbooks mirror mod
4. Fit sound system
5. Fit dlr lights to bumper
6. Repair front skirt, side skirts
7. Up rev mapped, oplenum spacer
8. Window tints
9. Full wrap
Well that's a good start!
Also finishing off my internal wrapping, reverse camera, etc.
-
Ha! Just as easy!
Finally removed the whole bluetooth unit!
As mentioned just remove the screw and the unit is loose. Underneath is a panel - lift that and it should expose two cables with plugs.
Just undo these plugs and viola unit can be removed.
-
Hi both
Thanks for the replies.
Seals all look good but I've stripped the boot completely and noticed some water in the left corners- exactly where the reverse sensors were fitted bu Nissan for previous owner.
Dried and cleaned up - will test and see if that's the culprit!
-
Hi all
Started to strip the boot a bit to fit my reverse camera and noticed some water in the boot - thought it was just the old condensation problem so cleaned it up and all sorted..l.
Or so I thought! Checked again 4 days ago to find a swimming pool in there - quite deep right at the rear edge of the bumper - the rest of the bumper seemed dry which made me question condensation - especially the amount!
Just wondering if anyone had any advice, ideas or anything that coud be causing this?
Gutted especially as Santa brought Me lots of goodies for Xmas but I want to sort this hopefully first

Christ £950 for a full wrap is a bargain!
my quotes I've had start at 1250 and go up to 2.5k!!!! Admittedly I'm looking at a pearlescent white colour but it's still not gold! Lol
I've been playing with 3m, hexis and a cheaper make on some carbon wrap for the interior and must admit the hexis feels so much better - in terms of feels stronger, takes a bit more pull to wrap but does it better, etc. but I'm no expert!
