  1. I have done the same myself before. Whoops but as its fence paint it works by soaking into the wood. It cannot do this on the paint so a good wash will get it off. The hardest place is the black plastic rubber bits around windows etc
  2. Open to offers? I take it they are for the brembo brakes?
  3. Must be the same place I got my super air filter that gives an extra 50 HP
  4. did you get the camber correction kits?
  5. by "need" i actually mean want! I have to get some new brakes as mine are worn out, and i thought i might spend a bit extra on her and wanted to choose wisely. No specific aim, some bits are for looks some are for handling, i see no point trying for HP gains as the cost is great for small amounts but i have since, possibly, changed my mind on this. This is due to the change in the feel a uprev gives. Think i will still go down the handling side though
  6. thinking of dropping the lowering springs as the camber adjusters and springs come to neally half my budget Unless someone else has a way of reducing the costs, therefore i could go with Berks HFC, dont really want to replace exhaust as that will also be a big cost. May have to spec down the replacement brakes and pads i require, to free more cash I may just make up two options and put it to the vote! Too many decisions Basically i NEED it all, cash
  7. What sort of gains can I expect to see? 15hp? As I have the HR engine I (looks like wrongly) thought the spacer wouldn't do much. Normally I wouldn't go down the brakes and handling route. But either way I need new discs as mine need replacing. As I'm not tracking I'm not bothered about super dooper ones. So maybe that's an option. I am leaning to the lowering springs and Possibly sway bar as I have heard good things
  8. Love the nuts where can I get a set! Car looks ace looking at doing a few mods myself (no where near your standard) if you have any tips!
  9. Interesting? Am I being stupid but isn't it supposed to be 313 bhp?
  10. Ok due to numbers of people saying this it is added to list, also pads and discs changed, but, hopefully for the small cost i will keep the spacers unless they are detrimental to something else. Spacers will increase the scrub radius of your front wheels. Although the exact effects of this seem to be up for debate ( most suggest reduced high speed turn in response), most people believe it to be a bad thing. To be honest unless you're tracking the car it seems unlikely that you'd notice much, but they're not going to improve your handling if that's what you're thinking. Just thought it made the wheels fill the archers better really, very vein! not looking for track spec, just fancy making it "feel" better. This is because I cannot get big bhp gains! I was also tempted to get a uprated exhaust but cannot afford it in my budget with other parts as well.
  11. Just thought I needed them if I was dropping the car. So thts some money saved if I don't
  12. Ok due to numbers of people saying this it is added to list, also pads and discs changed, but, hopefully for the small cost i will keep the spacers unless they are detrimental to something else.
  13. True, I do get your point, and it is mostly aesthetics with them, however if I could be bothered I would argue a wider stance is better for corning.
  14. Ok, the time has come, I have resisted for too long, I am going to mod my car ... maybe! Before spending time and money, I thought I would run the mods past everyone for comment. Before someone states, , or read other threads, I have done both. The mods below, I think will give me the best improvements to my car. I am trying to source these parts, preloved, if possible to keep costs down, so if anyone knows someone who is selling PM me details. I am currently running a completely standard 2008 coupe GT. The car is only going to be used on the road, no track use ... yet! 1. New Front Discs + Pads (Ferodo DS 2500 pads + DBA T3 rotors) - required 2. New Rear Discs + Pads (Ferodo DS 2500 pads + DBA T3 rotors) - required 3. Eibach Sway bar kit 4. Eibach pro spring kit 5. Eibach camber adjustment kit front 6. Eibach camber adjustment kit rear 7. Adjustable drop link kit 8. Stubby aerial 9. Luggage net 10. Front spacers (20mm) 11. Rear spacers (25mm) 12. Cosworth Air Filter 13. Braided Break Lines (HKS or Goodridge) 14. Motul RBF 600/660 fluid Minus item 1 and 2, which I have to change anyway I think, these are the best mods / items to buy for your 350z. Does anyone disagree with me? Bearing in mind I am expecting this to cost around £1600, with some / mostly second hand parts. Has anyone got a better way of improving a N/A car for £1600, or different makes of the items listed? I look forward to being corrected
  15. have been requoted £330 which i am happy about as they are doing some other work as well. not sure if the anthracite will suit or if a different colour will be better?
  16. Thanks, I will phone them and see if I can get it reduced. Dont suppose anyone has any pics of gray wheels on a night blue 350. i have tried to find one but cant. think it should look good but it would be nice to know. any reviews on "the wheel specialists", good or bad
  17. thinking of getting this done, on my standard rays. I have been quoted £400 from "the wheel specialists" in Nottingham. Three questions, 1. Anyone dealt with these guys before? 2. Is this a good quote? Wheels are in good condition. 3. Should I be worried about power coating? Heard conflicting statements about it. Thanks
  18. looking to get some spacers for my 08 350z (in case that matters) Eibach 20mm seems popular ? Also looking to lower it as well Eibach pro kit seems popular? Is there anything I am missing? Heard people talking about alignment kits as well, how do I know if I will need them? So with that what sort of costs am I looking at? Spacers - £200 Springs - £200 Alignment kit - £??? Fitting - £??? Pm prices if you have any! Oh and before some else says it
  19. i heard if you look into the statistics i think you will find women have, on average, MORE crashes than men. However, these are normally low speed bumps where as men tend to have bigger, more expensive crashes . I'm not passing judgement either way but i believe there should be stats to say the cost to the insurance company against age, sex etc so they can see where there bigest liability comes from and price policy's accordingly
