  1. I agree that someone like Camskill could supply a set of bridgestone re050a for around £750. Most fitters charge around £10-£15 a corner for fitting, balancing etc but it's worth checking because some people have been quoted silly prices to do it. I would definitely try and sell the old ones on ebay with a low start, plenty of info and collection only.
  2. Very helpful information. I don't have a rip yet but very handy to know
  3. That's the one I've been waiting for Mine now looks shiny
  4. When I have finished my PHD in mits, muffs and sponge types I will do the very thing you suggest.
  5. after me, ...........I will periodically log off the forum and go and drive my Zed and have a life.
  6. Awesome - must be Stillen exhaust
  7. Deliberately. I'm from an era where a sponge was a luxury, as was central heating and a direct dial telephone and double glazing You can add condoms to that list Yes to sponges, Toyotas and Condoms in no particular order.
  8. Very nice Voodoo Vix:thumbs: My Corolla has managed 19 years with a sponge
  9. How very decent of you. I will give that earnest consideration .....nooooo.....here I go again....
  10. I just used to look at it from time to time when I needed something. Now I have taken to putting up silly postings and adding random thoughts of dubious value and spending stupid amounts of time on here. This is very sad.. I need to get a life. Help

  12. In recent days there has been an endless stream of very shiny cars posted up. I am getting depressed as my poor roadster now lives outside all year round. I may have to accept that my bucket/sponge technique is unsatisfactory, unless I can be reassured that there are some dirty 350Zs out there? When I say dirty I mean grimy or unclean as to any other interpretation certain members might place on the title of this posting. Failing this I may have to get my finger out, so to speak.
  13. And another thing ... if you don't have a jack with you - very carefully drive one side of the car onto a higher surface - I hesitate to mention a kerb... but similar. That should give you enough room to get a photo.
  14. There are 2 cats, ahead (forwards) of the Y pipe (it will be obvious what that is). In very general terms if you OEM cats they look like a couple of tin small silencers. If they are shiny stainless steel things but still look like mini-silencers they are quite likely to be HFCs. If they are de-cats they will just look like pipes. Abbey are very easy people to deal with so no worries with them.

    Tyres?

Which Bridgestone Potenzas are they? There should be a large number beside the name - like 040 or 050 or 050as? The 2 fronts sound like budget tyres to me - if that is the case they are inadvisable on a heavy 276 bhp car with rear wheel drive. Also different tyres back to front is a recipe for inconsistent handling. What people say next will depend on your budget (the short answer is get the best ones you can afford).
