  1. Hi Man, Good purchase there is a user guide on these camera if you select that you can tell it (through select menus) what type of photo you are taking and what you want achieve it will then select everything for you but will tell you what's going on so you can learn from it. The D3100 was made for people who have not had a DSLR before and have moved form bridge cameras so is very user friendly. Read the book and get playing with the settings it wont take you long. Those photos are a good start. The first one with your Zed, you've blown the highlights in the sky, ND Grad filter can help with this, But you can simply change your setting i see you shoot with the ISO on 400 drop that down to 100. and increase your shutter speed from 1/30 upwards maybe 1/160/1/200 also you can change the metering point of the camera you had it pattern. Sign up to www.talkphotography.co.uk its a very good community there and you will learn lots !there are lots of very in-depth tutorials and you can share your photos for critique which improves your work ten fold. but don't be put off by it lol some of the Togs on there are very blunt! lol and can be off putting but they trying to help in their own way lol Just get practising dude! and most importantly have fun! I have to shoot off to work now but feel free to pm if you have any questions etc.
  2. Just like to make sure then there's no confusion
  3. Not sure where or who these "internet warrior" comments are aimed at by I Too was simply voicing my opinion like every one else and was not once aggressive in any way! Glad the op after 7 pages! is now getting help after all thats what we are all here for arnt we..
  4. by old i mean on here not age should of made that abit more clear. I think there is far to much judging of people before they know the person. I didn't expect a super car at all, but was disappointed im sure thats how alot of people feel. its still a great car but lacks that extra ooophm
  5. lol ive been reading so many of this type of thread recently and like lots of people have said. I cant believe how bitchy and moany this forum has become! its incredible. The Price of Zeds now is very low so there are lots of younger drivers coming here. Just to be met by older members who belittle them and bitch! between them selves like they are better than the rest what's the deal. OP stage 2 on the VXR,s comprises of full exhaust system form turbo back, including pre-cat removal, Filter, and software upgrade (remap) which takes it to approx 280-285bhp. They can be very fast in a straight line. as mentioned they don't corner at all. I also feel people don't necessarily want an "astra" or what ever over their Zed as the zed is a special looking car. They just feel like most of us that they lack the speed they deserve.
  6. hey mate you should defiantly go for this im almost done myself. some said here go to college and work self employed as you go, unfortunately you can not does this as law requires you to be a competent person to play with electrics. which you will not be until finished. So will have to be with a company, you'll find most one man band types would not be interested in hiring you as they are not up to scratch themselves since they will also be checked, they don't bother. im having that problem around me. if you were going to do the college route and find a job, you'll need the new City and Guilds NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnology (2357) the 2330 now has stopped and does not exist any more. people who have done this or finishing it will still count. there are companies that offer the whole thing in like 6 weeks for £XXXXS stay clear you will never learn it all form these types, they only bread cowboys who kill people. if you need any help just pm me good luck dude
  7. I'm not sure they are "very" grainy. There is some noise evident in some pics. But not extreme. But clearly you are the expert Not Trying to be "the expert" just offering some friendly advice!
  8. Nice looking cars the M3 is very nice as said. also my I suggest a tripod for your next photo shoot to stop shake and a lower ISO to reduce noise as these are very grainy
  9. Hey mate im been lurking around Posted in a few things. how are you? hows the business going? all well I hope
  10. Now there is a surprise, probably a slap on the wrist and dealt with 'internally' Dealt with internally!! in deed like 90% of all other cases where coppers act stupid!! Did you watch the Panorama Police behaving badly the other night, was very interesting.
  11. Really? if you had a cheap diesel you would more than half fuel costs. and if he pays the insurance off using the "free" 2k he claimed then i wouldnt count that as a cost
  12. As a wise Tom Selleck once said.. well the other night actually if you ever cant afford the car payments and mortgage payments. Pay the car as you can sleep in the car but you cant drive your house to work!!
  13. HI. Be careful with these "Free" panels what do you know in life which is free.. Im just about to Qualify as a Sparky, A friend of mine had just set up his open business as a PV installer. Some of (not all) of these companies that offer free panels make your life very difficult if you want to sell your house. I personally know of 3 people who went for this but when they tried to sell there house the companies wanted to vet all new prospective buyers and kept refusing. This meant that these families could not move out they are all very stressed and upset as you can imagine. Im sure, well would like to hope that not all are like this. but be very careful and make sure you read all the fine print.
  14. Which wheels do you have on yours. Looks very
  15. Brilliant game love it! although turn 10 need to out a few niggles but still great stuff Changed the front bumper now as didn't like how long it looked lol
  16. +1 for that mpg i recently did a trip down to Bristol then on to Newquay and some, managed about 720 miles from a tank. which i think is around 60. cant ask for more

  18. I think the clutch issue was more when they first came out, their were reports of people going through 2 clutches within the first 18 months, mine is fine and takes a lot of abuse really lol I wouldn't worry to much just be aware. check history when looking at the car. and accelerate hard up hill if you can on test drive see if it slips a little bit which will indicate signs of clutch is going.
  19. Im currently in the Accord cdti. wont talk about the car as it not a civic. the engine is great its very quick for a diesel Like you say 180/190 bhp is achievable with a remap and cat back and panel filter. then it'll blow you away very quick and pulls like a train. Just watch out for clutches they have a problem most should of been replace early on under warranty but make sure, as these are very expensive to replace. dual mass will prob need to be replace as-well which Honda charge around £950 for the part alone you then have the clutch and labour on top i think labour could be around £700-800. All in all great car great engine. I also love Honda's very good cars.
  20. There are loads in and around Chester now i see at least one every day ! guess since they are so so cheap these days less than 5k for imports. more people are buying them
  21. Haha this is turning out to be a very! interesting read As for the £500, driving it every day round town tip of trips . id do 180 miles to Bristol twice a once or twice a month where id see about 28mpg maybe 30. but those trips were etc money on top of the 500. ive spoke to a good handle full of people who were spending around the same they only get 15-18 round town. Great car! really is would defo have another. but for me would want it turbo'd I personally think it is not fast enough for the way it looks Good luck in deciding whats right for you
  22. that seems very complicated lol maybe ill look again when its not 2.10am haha. Are you trying to say if you do pages of sums and figure out some golden ratio-angle you'll have a nice photograph ? lol
  23. i found the running costs very high, I was spending at least £500 every single month on fuel alone lol. and to OP it really depends on what you want from a car. looks/performance-straight line/ performance twisty's/ comfort etc etc. FWD hatches are fun quick and practical. RWD very fun! can be practicable and can be quick. then there's 4wd. there's so much choice !! out there
