lol that was rather timely given my current predicament. Is it still available. Very tempted to take it off your hands and get it welded whilst looking for a new zorst system. Need to see if it would be possible given the state of the break in the joint though

Guys thanks for you help with this, really appreciate it. Yet again it really shows what a great forum this is and how it enriches the whole zed ownership experience. What a suprise, had a call back from the garage and wow the warranty wont cover wear and tear on the exhaust. Thats three things i've tried to get sorted on the warranty (roof, seals and exhaust) and none of it is covered, they are a complete waste of time. The call from the garage made me laugh though. Her : "Bad news im afraid the warranty wont cover wear and tear on the exhaust" Me : "oh ok, doesnt seem like it covers much at all to be honest" Her : "But you have only just recently bought it havent you" Me : "Yup three months ago" Her : "You should contact the garage you bought it from and see if there is anything they can do. When we sell a car we provide a warranty that would cover things like this so they should be able to help" Me: "I bought it from a Nissan garage with a nissan warranty" Her : "That should sort it then" Me "Sorry, now im confused, how does that help because you just told me a Nissan warranty wont cover wear and tear on the exhaust" Her : ......Silence...... I could hear the penny drop. Well i think Husky has the best idea, get a cheap box, get it welded locally (As we have so many surrey chaps around does anyone know of a place near guildford that can do that) and then look into investing in a new exhaust system. Anyways thanks again much appreciated. Will now have to put bungs in my ears for the trip home. Hope its going to be ok driving it around until i find a temp solution.....

Done nearly 4k since ive have it - approx 4 months now. Went to northweald airfield on sunday so that may have broken the back of it - although i was behaving and didnt go crazy. Certainly not told the garage yet. Some have mentioned that every cloud has a silver lining and that this is an opportunity to replace it with a "proper" exhaust. Thing is i like the sound of the stock exhaust, deep and throaty when you need it, nice burble when you come off the pedal and quiet on the motorway. Wouldnt want something too lary. I will have to do some research and make up my mind quick sharpish, then see if the insurance premium changes.......ah well looks like teh alloys will have to wait. Exhaust will be the first upgrade. Any recommendations let me know

Ok update... Just got back from the nissan garage. They say that joint between the exhaust and the back box has snapped and that a new back box is needed New back box for 371.85 Nuts etc £10 Labour and VAT takes total up to £550. They told me i shouldnt be driving it Maybe that activity day wasnt so cheap after all.. They are checking to see if it is covered by the warranty - if not i may get in touch with the garage i bought it from as ive had it 3-4 months. Guess im pushing my luck if they can help. Any advice?

get the impression warranties arnt worth the paper they are written on I will see what they say.

Jumped into the car this morning to find a very loud exhaust note greeting me. Nothing seems missing and when idling she is quiet but at revs it is much louder than normal, with a decidely louder burble when you take your foot off the pedal. It seems to be coming from the left side and you can feel a slight vibration when driving and revving. Don't know if its me but seems a slight loss in power too. Im guessing its a hole or some slight air getting into the exhaust. Any ideas, going to take it in to the garage at lunchtime to get them to take a look. Diddnt want them to take advantage so wanted to go in and make it seem like i know what im taking about with the knowledge you guys have. Hope its covered by the warranty. Cheers Will

Great choice, the storm white looks fantastic. Check out some of the pictures of colins little beauty "guns", he's added a few carbon fibre touches and it really makes a difference to the looks. A subtle improvement that makes a huge difference. First thing you will want though is a new exhaust, the stock 370 is just too quiet. Great car though you will love it.

Not sure if my car thought it was a hybrid but on the m40 last week doing 70 (had cruise control on to make sure it was smack on) and the car was doing over 40 mpg. Maybe something to do with downhill with a trailing wind. Still by the end of the motorway it was doing 35mpg + then I got off the motorway and thought, sod this for a laugh. Got home and it was back in the mid 20's, wonder which was the most fun part of the journey.

Welcome to the forum, good luck wih the hunt for a new car. I'm now based in guildford but my parents are still back in sunny Hereford, not far from worcs. Lovely part of the country. I know there are a few members from herefordshire / ledbury way and I've seen a few zeds around those parts. They had a 54 plate gunmetal in steels in Hereford if you were still looking but they wanted far too much for it. Been there for 4 months so maybe some bargaining power to be had. I would definitely recommend going to one of the local meets. Us surrey boys travelled up to one of your local runs a few months ago for a run around Stratford. Was a great day and a very friendly bunch of people. Could even understand the accent too

If you are worried about fuel costs don't consider the zed. If you are like me a simple 10 mile drive from work often ends up with me pulling over popping the roof down and going for a nice long detour and the extra fuel bill is worth every penny.

Like the side and rear views but really don't like that front end. Agree that it looks too much like a tt

I'd definitely be up for another go, so much fun. We should definitely get a group together for a wet day

Howdy matey, good to see you are still on the zed hunt. My friend who came for the test drive ended up buying a vx220, he's absolutely loving it. Hope you are having interest in selling yours. I would suggest linking any cars you are considering here. Also we have a big contingent of zed owners in surrey and I know you are just down the road so if you see any local cars that take your fancy some one may know the car in question. High mileage shouldn't be an issue if they have had a good service history. The guys here can tell you more I'm sure and maybe if you see a local car you like someone close may be able to look it over with you.

Definitely a great idea for a club event, especially at this price. Didnt get the name of the chap in the zed but it was a beast. He was also a pro drifter on the large circuit, really got the tail out and handled it well. Did i mention it was twin turbo'd too.....

That was some serious smoke, did you have any tread left lol.
