I'm at Arnhem for the 70th commemorations that weekend but if you do it again I'll go, live at Lincoln. Be good to see ken again.

the paint is reacting with the rubber. Shouldn't paint the rubber. Just leave it as a rubber grommet.

I don't appear to be showing any of the tank/fuel pipe leaking issues of earlier generations of kit. Happy.
Good news then.
I've just put the black union back in the kit now along with the blue one so H.Dev can make their own decision on which to use.
Me too , Hey Chris that's an absolutely gritty performance your doing there, makes my head hurt just reading it. Well done should get a medal for tenacity.

Not an issue I've heard of, has it been badly fitted, photos would help not easy trying to visualise it?

Have a look at these I see there's a recommendation from a 350z owner with the same problem.

How old is the battery?

You say you have a bubble in the dash vinyl next to the clocks, has your speed cluster been vinyl wrapped because that face of the clocks is silver plastic. If it's been wrapped use a craft knife to just puncture the wrap and after applying heat (you could get away with a hairdryer) push the wrap down.
A switch blanking plate should be available from any Auto electrical supplier.
Don't see why an import switch shouldn't work.
Sound advice

I have a sneaky feeling they may have cut the cord, hope I'm wrong. I'm sure the last time someone wanted to replace just the cord you had to buy the full unit.

I think we are now on version 3, especially when one of us went and accidentally wiped everyone of the map two or three years ago. Never did get to know who did it at the time it was felt better not to name and shame or they would feel the wrath and the p#ss taking on a monumental scale.
