  1. I use mine as my daily run about car. Its fine, bit noisy on the motorway with tyre and wind noise but apart from that no complaints really apart from the poor loading space. Seems to take mileage well. Seats are good. I've not had any issues with mine so far. I get about 25 mpg on average. You have to drive it for mpg to get any lower.

    MPG

Sounds wrong to me. You have to remember you have to carry that weight around also so that will decrease MPG by more than the vapor thing I would suspect.
  3. I bought a 2009 genesis altitude 10 through this scheme. It rides really well and cost me about £900 ish I think. Fantastic bike can't fault it in anyway at this price point.

    bedford track day

Some footage of me in the 350Z following my friend in an E46 M3. Neither of us knew the track at all so you will have to forgive the lines ! Hope to get some more up of the day soon.
  5. Ok at 4.5k revs it measured 88 db static. This is just the back box replaced.
  6. Oh I thought you were offering them for free. Don't worry I can get them free from the local tyre shop with1- 2 mm tread left.
  7. What size ? I'll take them if they are stock size if you are ok with me getting a courier to pick them up.
  8. I also tracked my car last week with some budget tyres on the front and some bridgestones on the back (how the car was when I bought it) no issues at all and it did rain a bit during the track day. Ok it was noticable when it was raining the front end response was different from the back but not ever a problem and I had the traction control off. I would say its overkill to do this esp for your use.
  9. thanks for the info. Its hard to make a decision on what to go for without actually seeing the products. Its a big difference in price for something I suspect may go un-noticed and is not functional. On the other hand I don't want them to look so bad they are noticable then have to buy the more expensive ones anyway.
  10. that's pre facelift fantastic, thanks.
  11. This is a shot of the holes is it possible to tell from this which ones I need ?
  12. bugger ! Don't know, not sure what age the bumper is from. I'll have to find out. I'm assuming its an early one but don't know for sure. Is there any way to tell ?
  13. Well you did ask. On a more serious note how much should these be worth ? I've had a look on ebay and you seem to be able to get clear ones for about £10-£15 new excl P+P I might see how much Nissan charge for a new set then I'll have something to go off.
  14. I've got a standard front bumper that I am going to fit to my car but it is missing the reflectors that go in the long side slats. I know people swap these sometimes for clear ones so I was wondering if anyone had any normal ones lying around they wanted to get rid of ?
  15. I have a nismo replica wing on my car with a carbon fiber effect. Its not to my taste as it came with the car. Its only about 6 months old. I'm trying to sell my car and I also think it will may be easier to sell as a standard car. What I am proposing is a swap for a standard blaze silver boot rather than take off the spoiler as I'm not sure how its been mounted. I'm based near reading. PM me if interested. Mike
  16. Evo8 will cost more to run. I personally don't like cars like the scooby and evo. Once you have owned faster cars and are not focusing on the acceleration they are not that good to drive with the ayc and diffs constantly messing around with what the car is doing. They understeer badly on track unless money is spent to set them up. NA and Rwd is the answer ! The main problem with these cars is that unless you are driving fast on the road they are horrible. You could have paid £8k for the same saloon plastic poorly made car that the lancer is. The 350Z still at least feels like a sports car even if you are doing 30 mph. I'm not blown away by the build quality either. I test drove a Evo 9 360 with 900 miles on it. It also had about 900 rattles / noises. No way could I have paid £30k for that. You also have to be seen driving the evo which if you are over 25 is impossible unless you have specified the paper bag option.
  17. Seriously if you can't afford this car new, don't buy it second hand. Any issues with the engine or gearbox will likely bankrupt you and your local independent won't be able to help due to the specialized computers needed on cars like these. You will be lucky to get 15 mpg average and general running costs are massive. Its an alternative to a 911 turbo etc not an audi TT.
  18. TBH I was shocked at how bad it is to insure the 350Z which in standard form I don't really consider a performance car. Its sort of fast hatch territory. It cost me more than my E46 M3 and also costs 40% more to insure than my other car which is considerably more valuable, much much more powerful, and no traction control It must be the type of person attracted to the 350Z represents a high risk of crashing the cars. Same thing happens to an extent with the M3s where a powerful (ish) car has depreciated to the point where anyone can buy one (maybe not run one but thats a different thing) and then end up crashing due to in experience at that power level. This seems to have been confirmed by what the insurance company has said in this thread by the claim ratio. I can also see the point of it being an entry point to RWD, another factor which may result in a large number of crashes. It is pretty much the only running cost I've come across that is high so its still not a bad package overall.
  19. Mine is pretty much identical spec. In similar condition. I've got mine up for £9.5k and zero interest. Remember also this is a single make site and people always overvalue the cars on sites like this due to the inherent nature of it. Really though if you want to sell it, then sell it. If you don't then don't put it up for sale as it just floods the market with non-adverts. I actually want to sell mine which it seems is a rarity even among people advertising cars for sale !
  20. I hope it will be, just be good to know before the event. I'll post up on here what the readings were for future reference.
  21. Is that remotely drive-able with that sort of power curve ?
  22. Has anyone tested the noise levels for a standard car with just the back box changed to a scorpion one ? I've booked into do a track day and the limit is 101dB static, at 3/4 max revs, and 87.5dB drive by. I've not taken a car with a non-standard exhaust on track before. Its not that loud so not expecting any issues but would be good to know if anyone has actually had it measured in a similar set up. The cats etc are still there. I don't want to get there and not be able to go out.
