  1. I agree about not trying to get the money for the sake of it, my personal circumstance is I did not agree to it, so purely wanted to check if they slapped it on anyway. Surely if they are not willing to send my details to me then they have something to hide. I would like to know what.

The women who was dealing with my loan was very persistent about additional insurances but I had to repeatedly say no thankyou. All this makes me think she just hit yes for the sake of a sale without me knowing. I just want to know if that's true or not.

I think Claiming back PPI is a minefield let alone understanding all the T&C's on insurance.

  2. I tried the first step of the guide a while back, I sent a letter requesting the information about my accounts as I cannot remember if I had PPI, I don't think I asked for it, but they may have added it anyway. I even sent the £1 cheque they would charge as Money expert advised.

My bank sent back the cheque and said, "our records show all accounts are completed. (as in i have paid my loans off) so we have no obligation to supply this information"

Hmmm. So can just go into my bank and ask for it there and then? If they want to play silly buggers with me, that just makes me want to **** them off even more.:angry:

I have had them a year with stretched tyres, and even after hitting a few tough old bumps and pot holes they are perfectly straight, (not just saying that, checked them 2 weeks ago on the balancer at work)

Some will say go buy the 'real thing' but TE37's are insane money. and fitment wise I don't think look as nice.

  4. Agreed, there are cases where seatbelts can be the contributing factor to a death during a crash, but the lives they save far outweigh the lives they take.

Wear a seatbelt and don't drive like a tool and all will be good. :)

  5. would a belt have saved him? Is that even a question worth asking knowing the facts of this story.

The driver: Did not wear a seatbelt and died instantly

The passenger: Did wear a seatbelt and didn't even need to go to hospital.

I think that is enough proof that seat belts do indeed save lives. Also shows how safe these carbon cars can be if you use the safety devices they provide. The front end is mullered but the cabin looks okay.

  6. From the stuff I have read, (as I want to see it being filmed). They are shooting lots of car stuff in Scotland but no lead actors will be there, the lead actors are in fact currently in London filming. Dwayne Johnson's facebook/twitter says he is in London filming it. But I cant find out any info on where and when :(

  7. Good stuff. I can seriously recommend everyone having a plough through the TED archive, just don't expect to get any work done for the next few weeks!

Wonder how many millions went into developing that. And there was me thinking we were in a recession

    a) It was done in the states

    B) perhaps you would prefer pure science research ceased, taking away the modern world at a stroke?

United States are in a much worse state than us last time I checked. I don't think science research should stop, not for curing diseases and the like. But novelties such as how many frames a second can we shoot in isn't what we need to be doing right now. How is this going to benefit anyone?

Don't get me wrong, its very impressive work, that impressive that I watched the whole 11 minutes of it. But it seems to be money could be used better else where just for the time being.

    :lol::snack:

Love the rear end of this car. Think this rear was on one of the 350's I came over to look at at the Jap show this year. <3

Is that a particular kit or a 'mixture' of rear bumper and skirts?

Cheers CJ, it's nice to hear positive feedback.

The rear is a Chargespeed, with Carbon Diffuser and Nismo side skirts. The front has a Nismo V2.

It's a blend I liked and felt suited the car. The boot is also carbon but painted Azure. No spoiler as I didn't want to drill into the carbon making it harder to sell in the future.

Could you not just tiger seal the spoiler on? Tiger seal is fecking touch stuff and should hold an oem spoiler in place no problem I would have thought.

  9. If this is reverse mounted, all they need are plastic caps for the feet of the machine that clamps the wheel. I use the plastic feet and cloths on top. What gets me is how the hell did they butcher the spoke as well?

Good man Tarmac for offering to help out.

  10. I am a tyre fitter who has dealt with everything from stretched tyres, to rubber bands that not many could fit (265/25/22 for example), reverse mounted £20,000 wheels and so on, I still cannot for the life of me work out why they would need to "pin prick" your wheel. They obviously have a very low spec machine that is not capable of doing low profile tyres.

To do that mess and expect to hand it back as though everything is okay is just ridiculous!
