If you ignore the badge at the back (which is clearly on there for comedy value), that doesn't actually look so bad. I've seen worse cars on this site, put it that way.
I was going to say exactly the same thing
-
Well, collected it from garage - they are confident all is tight under the front and said the rack is making the knock, but only if you are very violent with it. They said no play could be found and strongly recommended not going to the expense of replacing as there would be no benefits.
They were unable to check alignment due to the car being too low for their old equipment, but they did say the second garage I had my alignment done at are very good.
So I'm starting to think the handling issue is in my head. Or maybe I need to run higher pressures on falken 452s? I understand they have a softer sidewall and that can lead to lack of turn in feel as it rolls on the sidewall...
Mine makes the same knocking sound when you turn the steering stationary, just a light sounds when you turn it either right or left, no drifting at all though, just a little pulling when on less than level road with a camber.

Nice collection of equipment.... now all you need is some help cleaning the Z

I get "unauthorised to read" message when I try to open the link
Ditto
I wanna see !!!!!!!

Its a strange idea I know, but have you tried phoning Abbey?
was about to suggest the same thing.
i need to ring them to as i need to book in for a remap.
Abbey have been in touch now and sorted, I wasn't going to chase them after emails and PMs, if they were too busy to answer fair enough. Trouble is I know I'm going to go for a service and end up getting a new exhaust and uprev too... Just have to tell the missus it was essential work and needed doing
-
Some of them are wrecks IMO...
How right you are....
Saw this comment on number 4 - 50 words on .... The Styling: The Nissan 350Z is a very nice looking car without any exterior modification
-
looks like they won't be doing any real motoring journalism - again so no point in watching it
The 'challenges' and 'races' are funny but they used to be an extra now the show is built round them

My Z is nearly due it's 80k P1 service and I'm looking for a decent independant garage to service and also do a general check on the car, clutch, brakes, plugs etec etc as I only have a very limited knowledge of such things...
Anybody got a good recommendation, I live in SE London and work in Essex, has anyone used Torque Development International in West Thurrock?
Have looked on the forum, CS is a little too far away and Abbey have not replied to Emails or PMs on here despite Reading them so must be too busy, shame cos I probably would have ended up getting more done than just a service!
Any help or advice appreciated, the car seems in good condition heavy clutch but once it's warmed up no problem, the odd clunk from the back when I change to reverse but again don't think that's a problem, hand brake needs adjusting but that's fairly normal I believe...

Hope the show gets back to basics, last couple of series seem to be an ego battle, same with another of my favs the gadget show, all about the presenters and challenges now.

There are some truly hideous cars on that site, I keep meaning to take a pic of an old Lexus near me that looks like its magnetic and drove through Halfords.... twice!
-
The car's looking very cool ...
BTW: Where did you get your stubby aerial from .. and is it any good in terms of reception?
I'm looking to buy one atm the moment but am being put off as I don't know about reception etc ...
Cheers
The one from Envy is good quality and no problems with reception, about £20 from memory

oh dear i fall in to the 2 out of 3 bracket as well.
lacking the bonnet
i'll go outside now and torch my car; so that i can end the shame
nah waste of good fuel, I mean have you seen the price of it lately?
-
pass em round I've run out
-
Haha yours isno way the most "barryboysesque" Z on here, that would go to the black bonnet, black wheel and ironing board spoiler brigade
2 out of 3 aint bad
Oh and they are "Carbon" not black
I was just thinking the same about mine
best park a really dodgy looking celica down your road to take the heat off just in case

This thread really just shows what happens when you make a private message public, surely if you get a PM you think is out if order you just report it, if you put it in the public domain it just turns into a childish affair like this
-
Mine is a brushed aluminium tingled and yes there is a noticable little movement back and forward with throttle on and off, I find it quite theraputic if I have my hand rested on my knob
-
but its blue - adds ££££s
Your not wrong there, silver, GM black or even sunset would be cheaper than Azure... You pay your money and take your choice

Now I just need to find out how to stop my belt shaving my neck all the bloody time
I just tracked down these -
I saw some on a pic of Nixy's car and my missus has been complaining that the seat belt hurts her neck when I drive in a spirited manner
Do JDM cars have the seatbelt holder thing that sticks out though? Mine does so there is no way it could rattle anyway
-
You can get electomagnetic ones that stick to the inside of the bumpers there is a thread on here about them. I think they are £99 a set or £150 front & rear. I was thinking of getting them and mounting the light panel in the cubby, I think you can also put them right round the wheel arches too to stop you curbing your alloys
-
I got mine off eBay, about £55 for set of 2 originals, but I got lucky an almost new set for £30 delivered after some frantic last seconds bidding, probly ****** someone off on here
Tell you what, I'm a fair bloke... You can have my mats and rays as a straight swap for your new wheels
-
This, and many other garage adverts for the Zed say the car is equipped with "FRONT FOGS"
Is it me or are they all wrong ? AFAIK UK cars have one rear fog light only as standard
I love the fact there are no front fogs, that way you never see idiots driving round with side lights and fogs on!

CF wrap is a nice clean look, I don't have pics of when I did mine because it wasn't for me but one thing I would suggest is when you do the centre part do it with the fascia in place.

My nephew has a noble, and an old m3 and a merc ml and did have a boxter too but I think that's gone now... Next time over there I will try and get some pics of them and the Z side by side.
I've been a passenger in the Noble, which he takes on regular track days and wow is it quick. Reallynot my cup of tea looks wise though looks like it should only be on a track
bad paint finish

Well said, I keep mine clean and tidy but never spend more than say an hour giving it a good clean, I just can't wait to drive it, rather spend half hour driving it than 5 hours cleaning it
I have put 8k on the car since I got it 6 months ago
