  1. GT4 Zed - as said above Ebay sells it but make sure its the proper 3M Di Noc cast vinyl and nothing other (only comes 1220mm wide). If you want to wait nearer to when i can do it I can make sure I have enough on my roll to sell you?

SpursMadDave - I'll be hitting the interior soon, particularly the centre console! What bit did you find difficult to do out of interest (so know what im up with!!)? As you say the blue looks lovely, especially in the Sun, but at the end of the day its only vinyl so can always be removed without a problem. I may decide 6 months down the line to do a complete colour change!!!!

All I've done so far is the 2 pieces of the centre console, the bit round the gear knob was easy, I had to take it apart to fit a new gaiter anyway, just some real stretching round the curves. I'm not happy with the top bit, quite tricky and I messed it up a bit round the gauges still enough left to have another try though! I want to do the silver bits on the steering wheel but I'm not sure how they come off...

I guess it's a pretty reversable mod inside or out, I wasn't sure on the interior at first but it's grown on me, apart from the bits I stuffed up!

  2. yeye i looked in there and nope cannot find it anywhere so i thinking of ordering one from nissan for 20 quid it will help in long run cus i love the car and frustrated that i dunno what some things mean lol

No worries it was just that's where mine was and I looked a spanner when I phoned the dealer and got  then found it!!!!

  3. ok i only got my zed 2 weeks ago and no manual is making me wonder what are the button functions on the dash.... so far i only recognise the speedometer (digital) and stopwatch and rev limiter .... the buttons on the right hand side of dash what do they do?

also can someone go over what each thing is for and the button functions on each side of dash

    thanks

They turn the backlights up or down, have you looked in the cubby behind the passenger seat, there is a secret floor to it and that's where my manual was, found it a couple of day's after I got my car.

  4. I tried to sell some alloys on another car site ages ago and didn't read the rules, my post was deleted with a polite note from a Mod to read the rules and post a correct picture, I didn't bitch or moan I just did it right the next time. Unfortunately a few bad apples have meant a crackdown that's all.

  5. To be fair a copy of what you quoted appears on every post in this forum, it's only to stop people getting ripped off and stops arguments in the long run, not causes them.

It's not over the top to ask people who want to use a place like this as a free ad site to adhere to a few well thought out rules is it?

This is a fantastic site I've been helped loads and helped a few others too with my limited knowledge, can't see how this is such a big problem to some, maybe I missed something?

  6. only worth using the cover when the car is clean

That's what I was thinking, I don't have a garage so quite often i clean the car and 2 days later it looks awful cos it's rained and the wind has blown dust all over it  I was thinking I could cover it after I clean it and it's in a covered car park at work so I won't have to clean it as much... maybe...

  7. my japspeed arrived this morning so not fitted yet but all seems as it should be and was a bargin.

Was it from CS? When I decide to take the plunge my Scorpion & japseed Y pipe will be ordered from CS... unless you know better?

  8. yeah motorway journeys its pretty gootd , i get as good if not better than my e46 325 got even wiht the extra litre and 90 odd ponnies .

i think what scares/shocks most peeps is the fill up bill due to the huuge 80 litre tank but id sooner have that than the tiny tanks you get in evos , scoobs etc that cant do long drives on one tank.

yeah it was a big fill up before I left, well over £80 but I just think of the nectar points! Does anyone else use Sainsbury Super? Should I pay the extra bit for higher octane stuff? Asked a million times I know but I can't believe I would feel any difference and for all I know the previous 70k have been on cheap stuff!

  9. On a forum like this it's simple -

here is what I have ( including pic )

this is how much I want

1st person says I will have that and pays

it gets messy when people say what's this worth or make me an offer, how about just sod of to fleabay!

I've missed out on loads of bargains because I don't check here enough, sometimes by minutes! But that's life if it's all done properly how can anyone complain?

If it's not too much work for the mods and not too dificult to implement the. As many have suggested anything in the fir sale section has to be verified before getting on the site.

  10. I got slated a while back for saying that someone who is worried about mpg shouldn't be buying a Z. When a friend says that I must spend a fortune on fuel I just say I didn't buy the car for it's economy I bought it for the looks and sound mainly, and they didn't do a bluemotion Z...

I've never really worked out exactly what I get from my 18 mile commute to work but at the weekend I drove from just south of the Thames to just south of the Tyne so before I did some calculating. I use Sainsbury Super Unleaded, not as good as BP Ultimte / Shell or even Tesco but there you go. I thought I might just get 30mpg on the trip with a couple of stops but I was in for a shock!!!

By the time I got on the M1 I was already at 30mpg and it kept (slowly) rising. I certainly didn't hang around, apart from about 40 miles of 50mph limit I sat on 80ish all the way and made the trip in 5 hours with 2 quick stops and a half hour lunch stop. Final (trip computer) mpg was 33.1 which was bang on when I filled up so was pleasantly surprised. I only bought the car in December, is a 54 plate and done 75k miles, and been serviced every 6 months religiously.

I still don't really care how economical it is but nice to know it's not all bad at least!

  11. :scare: When did I say that a capacitator replaces more battery or bigger alternator?! Its only there to help the amp if the amp suddenly need more power then battery/alternator can deliver that's all. and it does take time for the capacitator to reload it self as Ian stated. Obviously it cannot replace XXX amount of batteries and larger alternator but maybe not everyone want to drive around with power plant in the car? :bang: Everyone to their own but I'm of the opinion that you MIGHT need it depending on your music style and what type of level of audio you're going for. Please correct me with some hard facts. It's there to help the amp get power quickly... not drive the system...

They dont work simples. No one with a half decent install who knows what they doing uses one. Join Talk Audio and ask them they will give you a in depth answer. I ran my last system with 2000w RMS with no caps.

To be fair you obviously know your stuff but the OP just wants to know what to spend a few hundred quid on which speakers sub and amp, I'm interested too as I have the same HU and although the Bose sounds ok with it (better than I thought) if it's not too expensive and difficult to improve I'm tempted.

  12. If it helps her case - I can find an article on a chap from round here, who parked on a busy main road, on the zigzag keep clear markings at a crossing, opened his door, leaned back in to retrieve a phone while sticking arse into the main road and was dragged under a lorry ripping various limbs off....

The guy has been cleared of all blame, even though he parked illegaly and put himself in the road rather than going round to the passenger side of the car to retrieve the phone, the lorry driver is now most likely to be chrged, and the chap is possibly going to receive millions in compo. Yet he was the one who parked illegaly in the first place.

So here you have one chap in line for millions because he actually had an accident whilst parked in a dangerous position, and your friend is in line for punishment. Good to see there is some continuity....

He will probably get far more than a soldier who got blown up by a car bomb but thats another story...
