  1. I like it! +1 on the lighter colour and coilies though
  2. Never heard of manhunter? It seems a fairly robust vehicle, going from a zed into a 1.6 4x4 is a bit strange though....power.... As for the tyres I think they're sort of road/light field type tyres I'll have to check later!
  3. Did you tip it on flat land Stew? This weekend we picked up a Suzuki Vitara hardtop 1.6 T reg with 35k on the clock for £1400. Don't know what to do with for summer next year though........

    So much want!!!
  5. Thanks for all the suggestions Going to go on the search for a Fourtrak by the looks of things as there aren't many suzuki sj's about!
  6. Gonna have a look at some Daihatsu Fourtraks and Suzuki SJ Samurai's, unless anyone has any reason not to? They're the perfect size, japanese ( ) and pretty cheap to buy.
  7. I'll be using it for winter and then will be passing it on to my dad who'll use it as an a to b workhorse. Don't need it for space as he has a van, just a runabout.
  8. Thanks for the replies. It's generally only for work and to pop into town on the weekends and i only live 5 miles from both . Looking at under £1000. Was given a lift in a Daihatsu last year and even that was somewhat struggling to get up the hills (I live in a dip). No chance in a car!
  9. At the start of 2011 you'll all remember the amount of snow that fell rendering the Zed an immovable object! As there's talk of snow soon (whether or not we get covered we'll have to see!) I'm looking for a nice cheap as chips 4x4 'jeep-type-vehicle'! After something that is small (suzuki jimny size-ish) and runs; those are the only prio's! Any help welcomed !

Vreds! Tonnes of grip in wet and dry conditions!
  11. I open the door on the Zed for my g/f.. ..not because I'm a gentleman, because I don't want her opening it too far!
  12. Shiney? ..knew I should've taken some pics of the zed in the sun! This will have to do: Or:
  13. Drove to Torquay on Wed spent 2 nights down there came back Fri! Awesome time!! Highly recommend the place!!
  14. Red Bull have done great in terms of reliability and pit stops hands down, I don't think they've made any mistakes this year? Shame Webber can't seem to produce though, he deserves a championship I'd say . Vettel is at the front the whole time (obviously not a bad thing for him) however, it takes away the excitement of a pole fight and this is entirely down to the other teams as all year the closest car to even come close to the RB has been McLaren. I'm hoping McLaren can come out with a stronger piece of kit next year .

Thanks kindly! Great response to these @ brumjohn & docwra: I considered another 10mm or so, but....UK roads and I want to drive the car hard too, not just trundle around. Besides I'm maxed out on my eibach camber adj. arms , right rear is 1.33 degrees, left rear is 2.24 degrees. For those that are interested also, the front camber for front left is 1.38 degrees with front right being 1.26 degrees. I already park about a foot away from kerbs! @ Jay: Got them from Varrstoen direct buddy! Took me about 5-6months to finally get them mind Rear arches were rolled by Chazz at Archenemy (covers the Oxford, Wilts. and Hereford & Worcestershire areas), total professional. Great to see how it's actually done. For anyone who's at all worried about rolling their arches, fear not, they come out perfectly and it's incredible the amount of room that you get just from folding the flat underarch upwards
  17. IMO if there was a few more laps left Button would have taken Vettel. Vettel is a great driver, but he doesnt seem to quite have the knack of getting up close and personal when battling. I think Button would have chosen a point to take him and exectuted it. Of course RB played this down saying Seb had it all in hand, but I'm not conviced he did. The RB car is quite obviously an amazing bit of kit and no one is faster in qualifying, but I think the MacLaren always seems to be very strong at the end of races. Like Ekona said; If Button could get a Pole or Second grid place and a start like he did in Singapore, I very much doubt Vettel would be able to challange to the first corner Button doesn't tend to wimp out! Completetely agree with you Chris, I heard "Vettel controlled the race and LET Button catch him up"...yeah okay... It always seems to me that McLaren are very late with they're battle cry, always a few laps before the end, sometimes maybe they should just let Button go for it!

Certainly, will have to put the overtime on hold for a while (ever feel like you're running yourself into the ground! ). Slowly but, surely that's the way! Oh and I definitely won't get the g/f to distract you whilst I replace our bumpers!
  19. A shame that Button wasn't right up behind Vettel at the restart under the safety car, might have seen some-what of a better battle considering Button scared Vettel off the road a few races ago!

Thanks to all again! Good to have a fair few thumbs up from people who know more than me about wheels, fitment and stance...which is just about everyone I'm lowered 20mm currently and the tyres I got from Camskill and The Tyremen; they had deals on both sites for the Vreds and were cheaper than anywhere else, £700 all told.

Thank's for all the positive comments guys, appreciate them!! I'm very pleased with them! @ Coldel - They're on my "to-do" list....and so is the front bumper @ Wasso - Cheers matey, hopefully the garage tomorrow won't dial out the camber setup too much I'm nearly due my spats too, they've taken a whle, but can't moan as they're being primed and painted for free!
