See my post above, there is nothing to stop you selling lego completed models or bags of parts (or so ive been told and i dont see why not, im not putting the Lego logo on anything) So i have just ordered the parts to make a Desert Eagle and a couple of other guns and £50 seems to be a realistic price. -

So lots of very interesting points made, there are several books out there for people who want to make these types of guns, and apparently lego have tried to get them banned etc.. but havent ever been able to...or so i have been told! Also legally again ive been told nothing they can do about you selling already made guns, no law against selling lego models that arent autheticated by lego and certainly no law against selling lego parts in bulk that happen to be stored in the shape of a gun. So i guess maybe my best bet would be to make one and see if I can sell it on ebay or Etsy or something. Thanks for all the feedback, it is basically what i suspected but great to have confirmation that £150-£200 is too high unless you are a lego enthusiast or someone who has that money burning a hole in thier pocket. -

lol have you ever been to ComiCon or MCM Expo? people spend £1000s or random home mad steam punk objects replica models and other bits of pieces. But point noted, as maybe £200 is too much. -

Yeah very true, i think your right, or look at selling slightly smaller guns, i could be wrong part wise. So maybe the best bet is to make a couple work out the cost then do it on a commison basis. i remember going to MCM EXPO last year and seeing peopel spend hundreds on woodern anime and cos play swords so was mentally trying to work out if people would be willing to spend that on Lego guns. -

Yeah so the problem, is i did a quick tot up of a smaller gun for parts from Bricklink, and i reckon that is around £20 then these are probably 4-5 times the amount of parts so in parts alone are prob £100-£150 -
Howdy all, As you may have seen I am buying my first house, so am trying to raise as much money as possible without selling anything big like the zed. So i was thinking of various money making projects to try and raise small - medium amounts of money to do up the house (we need a few things doing). Sooo with that said a few years back I used to know someone who made Lego guns - yup you read that right LEGO GUNS! that fire lego bricks... Well he has passed me on his guides and for the last year or so i havent really thought about them. But it suddenly occured to me that for guys who have everything and like gadgets (quite a few peeps who own zeds) they may be interested in owning a fairly unquie cool boys toy. See images a links below: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/155152 http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/97142 http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/126465 So my question is what kind of price if you were interested do you think they would be worth, on Ebay/ here / lego fans etc.. As the guns are life size and actually made up of a serious amount of bricks and other parts, but are 100% lego apart from the elastic bands so they cost a fair bit to build. But I would be really interested in hearing your thoughts, Neo

The other day I met the guys who make this...
neo-ninja replied to neo-ninja's topic in 350Z General
Actually for the life of me i couldnt remember rolling road names they mentioned but RStuning rings a bell. The problem with ITBs they were saying, (and the person i was with was agreeing) is that they need alot of maintanence as parts can sieze up etc.. (now i didnt know what they were until i was shown them on one of the cars while i was there so i couldnt agree nor dissagree) so for a knowledgable person as a track toy they are perfect but for someone who is not massivly knowledgeable they can be a right pain, (is how they explained it.) The guy I was with had been one of around 25 people to buy the RS2 kit and they have seen gains vary massively, some being pushed up to 196, and others not as high. Interestingly this is where the coversation moved onto the rolling roads as they have found some people have told them thiers have been pushed up past 200 but they themselves said that is rubbish and the conversation went on etc.. (hence the trusted rolling roads etc..) @Abbey - they were more suggesting that some people were being told by tuning garages thier cars were xxxHP and then XXX+25HP after they had thier cars worked on by the garage, these people would then find out the hard way that it simply wasnt true. I guess in the 350 scene it is different as there is not a huge amount people can do to get extra power without going FI etc.. (and that seems to be generally accepted) however i got the impression that in the Clio scene that most tuning garages offer thier own bits of home made kit and make bold claims about how much extra power they add etc.. Anyway all in all it was a very interesting conversation about a topic i didnt know really exsisted. -

Yeah really nice guys, and really an amazing bit of kit they are selling. at 24 i would have loved to have owned my own business making a unique product of my own design! Yeah Rbiscuit i guess your right that way you can see you increases etc.. I have never had a car on a rolling road so sort of figured they must all use the same tech or similar and be "kite marked" with some sort of stamp of authority/ athenticy but i guess not. -

... JMS RS2 Intake for the Clio world. The guys are based in Surrey only 2 of them, made by hand (they showed us all the raw parts etc..) really nice guys and very knowledgeable. And wow its a great looking bit of kit. A friend has a track toy he fitted one to recently and the difference power wise was incredible, the sound was really good and very impressive for a Clio. However what was interesting about meeting the guys who make them is their opinions on rolling roads/ dynos vary massively they said there is only 2 in the country they trust (both give the lowest figures they have seen for their bit of kit, but both are realistic) they explained how is very easy to tamper with the machine and adjust small settings to get massive BHP gains (some times accidentally sometimes on purpose), they had experience of people doing club dyno tests where the people running the dyno would deliberately adjust the settings for cars that ran their tuned parts etc.. Just thought it was quite interesting, and makes you wonder when you see people post up their scans on forums / classified ads can they really be trusted etc.. And was also wondering peoples opinions on this, is it the case that you notice variations when you get your car dynoed from place to place etc..

Howdy All, SO had very little interest, if you are interested in any of teh parts let me know and i will see if its worth breaking it down. Sadly Andlid already built his system

Hi All, Got sent these from Lovefilm today, they basically get you 2 months free of the top package on Lovefilm (You can then cancel no strings attached). I have 4 of them, I will email the codes over (1 each) to who ever wants them. Completely free no strings attached, i normally bin them but figured if someone wants to try Lovefilm its a good deal.

I have 2 CG locks for sale, I bought from this forum, they are in great working condition, however could probably do with a clean and having a little bit of glue under the leather to secure it on. For those of you who dont know what they are, they basically act as a harness and hold you firmly into your seat, perfect for spirited driving and track days. I really noticed the difference, when i took them on my carlimits day! Well worth buying, i am only getting rid of mine, as i am buying a house so need every penny i can get! It was recently announced that the STIG used them, when he did his track times on Topgear. http://www.cg-lock.co.uk/about/press-re ... -the-stig/ Ideally i am looking for around £50 delivered for the set or £27 each if not gone in the next few days I will put on ebay. Thanks More info here: http://www.cg-lock.co.uk/

Ideally i want to keep it as a set but will PM Andlid to see what he wants. thanks all

HI All, Not sure what the rules are on getting a feel for value (so mods please move if you feel it needs to be elsewhere) I am about to buy a house and so am selling off a few things that I bought when I had lots of spondoolies to spend but now I could do with every extra penny. I built this carputer about 6 months ago, has done me proud and so much more I wanted / want to do with it but just haven’t got time to and need some extra cash so being that it is some obscene luxury and bling I figured it needed to be one of the first things to go! I did a bit of a write up on the build here: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=45658&hilit=+carputer Personally I didn’t want to settle for second best and use an android based system or Chinese system, so went for the full hog Carputer. With this you can watch films, browse the net, play music and use the best ca diag systems, I had a trial version of Dashcommand with GTR gages installed (trial is now over but for £25 you can get it up and running for life) It currently runs Windows 7 (yes windows 7!) and uses Centrafuse as a front end. I am not really sure I want to sell unless it is for the right price, so really at the moment it’s only a feeler thread to see if some one is seriously interested then I will take some pics with my name on and get them up. This is a very quick machine and starting from hibernate (which you normally always do takes around 30seconds to play music/movie) Ideally I am looking for somewhere around £600, for everything: That’s the PC (2gb ram, 3.2ghz, 6usb, onboard gfx, onboard sound, black mini atx case, 80gb hdd, m2-atx power supply) Wifi Wireless N dongle Bluetooth Dongle ODB2 Bluetooth scanner Centrafuse Windows 7 Cubby +Jap buttons (these are surprisingly pricey around £100 for the cubby and £20 for a finisher plate/ buttons) Power cable +fuse Grounding cables + usb etc... Lilliput7" screen My free services (via email) to get you setup / advice Anyway let me know your thoughts, if its too much for you let me know, if its right let me know, as I said only a feeler thread so if I don’t get interest I will keep. Thanks! Update - Really need to get it sold, have been lazy about putting it on Ebay, so selling it at what i hope to get min for. Offer welcome

so if you look through my carputer posts you will see how I did it, i basically got an 03 cubby and mounted teh screen in that, you need an o3 as the door folds in. a 8" is just too big the hole is only 7" so you wont be able to see all screen anyway. However there would be other ways if you used a dremmel etc..
