i just brought a birdview satnav system off nurrish so dont really need a satnav in my stereo, ive been down that road with spending loads on stereo equipment in previous cars and im trying to keep this one as close to standard as possible, i already have a bose system in at the moment and i quite like it, but its a jdm one so the radio frequencys are all wrong, i brought a frequency expander and thats not much cop either, good to see theres forum members close though!

ah that sucks! i was hoping to get a bluetooth attachment! oh well i better ask santa for something else

im after a uk bose stereo, must work perfectly to replace my crappy jdm one that i cant get any radio stations on!

any idea what that is then?

is this the correct attachment to connect the phone cradle? my car does have the phone option because when i press the phone button on the steering wheel i hear a bong and then it says something in japanese on the screen, has anyone else got anything like this, to me it looks like an old motorola connection

dont get me started about lancias ill start ranting soon, my dad owns a 27 year old beta coupe thats not got a spot of rust on it, a dedra turbo thats done 148000 miles on its original turbo and only just had its original clutch changed, and he had a delta integrale 8v that had done 130000 mile when he sold it and none of them have missed a beat! it was only 200 betas that had rust problems, ah rant over! i feel better for that, sorry to have hijacked the thread

your all gonna have a good laugh at me but i just went to check the oil on my z and it was a bit low so i topped it up went to check the dipstick again and still a bit low so a bit more oil, check the dipstick again and theres no obvious reading! theres a thin line of oil all the way down the dipstick! im just thinking that when i pulled it out the last time that oil got up the tube for the dipstick but now i dont have a clue how much more to put in, its there or there abouts but its just frustrating! anyone else had this?

you make it sound so easy! how easy are they to take apart? i have thought about it but i really dont want to have to stump up best part of £600 for a new set when i mess those up , also my car is a jdm, if i was to remove them would it mess with the adjustment?

just tried to fit them and boy did that go wrong!!! followed the instructions but the film wouldnt bend to the shape of the headlights! get one corner sorted and the other pulls up! then tried to smooth over one corner with a card whilst holding the other and it just creased! ive got the passenger side one left! not to sure whether i should order another set and have another go!

they arrived in the post today! seem quite good but do look dark i must admit! ill fit them saturday and put up some photos

i ordered some of these of ebay the week before last! just waiting for them to come in!

2001 vauxhall astra coupe turbo, 78000 miles, a/c, pas, e/w, e/m, heated leather interior, service history, much loved and well looked after, mot april 2010, tax feb 2010, new cam belt and all tensioners at 58000, and new turbo at 62000. front splitter is damaged but will supply a new front gsi bumper upon sale, its not very damaged and is repairable but not sure if the buyer will be interested in this as its a bit of a nuisance and catches on everything! £4000 ono

they both work really well together! my only gripe with the ings bumper is its not a complete bumper only the bottom part so theres always a lip, maybe can get it blended?

yeah mines a jdm! cant find a spare blank key anywhere! ill keep you all posted when it arrives
