  1. A bit of both. Yes you have to pay to become a member but only after a series of interviews and inspections because you have to pass a series of practice codes which they set out for you to meet. In the past when we looked into gettjng our selves as insurance approved, we found that the there was no such standard. As long as you can work quick, produce satisfactory results and willing to bend financially in favour of the insurance companies cheaply, you will be insurance approved. Dealership approved is much more difficult. You need to be part of an automotive board such as the VBRA even before you can approach a dealer for work.
  2. Thanks guys. We couldnt had done it without the support of the club members.
  3. RT Performance is now officially a VBRA approved body shop!
  4. prefacelift £80 + postage
  5. Auto prefacelift £90 + postage
  6. Hit me up for a Photoshop any time buddy Just had a proper read of this and the work/attention to detail is amazing! Depresses me as my car is so tatty in places and in desperate need of the RTP treatment! I will be in touch (again) soon Taras! Lack of funds currently Car is a credit to you Ian and I promise I'll sort my ride out and come to see yours in the metal very soon! Im sure we can work out some kind of payment plan?
  7. Look at the smoke coming out of it! Does it run off grilled steak or something?
  8. when Taras gets off his ass to write the second part
  9. Many of you have seen it. Even though it's no longer with us any more, here's a nice read as to how it became. http://www.rt-performance.co.uk/blog/56-370z-from-nothing-to-something-part-1
  10. Not really sure were to post this so Admin pls move this thread if needed to. So I wanted to find some information about the 350Z carbon prop shaft. Information such as total length, measurements on the fittings/bolt formation on each end and weight. Does anyone have one lying around that can help me measure it up? Thanks
  11. PU is not ideal for this kind of application. Its only good for small parts or lips and skirts. If you've ever seen or worked with a PU bumper, you'll be quick to understand why it's a bad idea. PU is simply not rigid enough for Aero use. Its heavy in density compared to a composite of the same thickness and it'll flop, warp and drag under pressure so if you use it as a wide flat diffuser, it'll just be shaven across the motorway. There are lots of good pictures of this diffuser on the internet if you search TS 350Z diffuser. Here's one of the origionals.
  12. I intend to use the same re-enforced fibreglass we use for our front race splitter which unless you hit head on to a kirb or wall it won't get destroyed. However I think if anything was to be crashed like that it will be in bits even if it was made of carbon. The reason why I intend to make them in fibreglass is just to kick start this production. Its quicker and cheaper for me to make fibreglass items and then make carbon ones at a later date. With this group buy it'll be at a very attractive price of £290 +PP. We can always look into the carbon ones later on.
  13. F1's are really good tyres in terms of performance but the down side is that they are made with an extremely soft compound and are known to wear out very quick especially for RWD cars.
  14. I may just have to order one on next months production budget. As for the V2 with carbon lip. Yes we can get hold of one. I just didnt think people will be interested in it thats all.
  15. Ive been after one of those diffusers for a year now
  16. Here is the last few pics of the car just after it's been washed and ready to be picked up.
  17. A bit dusty but its done. Tomorrow we'll give it a wash before handing it over.
  18. oh and not to forget, no more grubby controllers.
  19. We'd like to think that everyone's car is treated with the same standard without any exceptions. Payco's car is getting all the attention it deserves whilst it's here and the end result would be nothing less then our best. Tomas is an excellent sprayer. But its nothing without the support of our other two members of staff who does most of the panel and prep work. Today the roof is being polished for a piano black finish. Martin is going to be able too shave his face in its reflection every morning once done.
