  1. Really gutted for you mate, hope you manage to get her back on the road for as little outlay as possible.
  2. 30 year old microbiologist, not quite as boring as it sounds,

  4. Update, apparently the Octavia is an old man's car, so looking more closely at 9-3's, A4, etc
  5. Thanks guys, those 9-3's look good, not sure she'd 210bhp, the 175bhp might be more appropriate. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p This one caught my eye, hopefully those nurburgring stickers would come off.
  6. Our Celica is coming towards the end of its useful life. So we are looking a somewhat unscheduled change of car, haven't got much money to spend due to a recent arrival. Cars I have short listed are Saab 93 (2006'ish) saloon, Skoda Octavia VRS (2005) Audi A4 (2003/4), any other suggestions? Got about £4k, need reasonable boot, 4 doors, something that still a little bit fun. Any thoughts?

    Egged!!

Fight eggs with eggs? Couple of options in this approach I'd consider; a well aimed hard boiled ostrich egg could take the miscreants out of the gene pool, I'm assuming they're male (they usually are). Or some black widow eggs in the hood of their Rockport hoodie, both methods require rather alot of planning and sadly, probably some time in jail.
  8. I'm live in Falmouth mate, quite nice in a way I can drive my car all week without seeing another Zed, feels a bit exclusive.
  9. Saw a cracking example tonight, great condition, with really cool two-tone leather seats.
  10. I have searched around, £103 is the cheapest I've seen

At the risk of sounding stupid, how do these sites work? Do they deliver to a local fitter or to your door?
  13. A cracking 04 Black GT, lovely condition parked near the cheese shop.
  14. Over taken on the Penryn by-pass by a 54 plate
  15. Point taken, any more pretty ones you can recommend?
  16. Hi Guys, Done a seach but no real bites, anyone got one of these? Seems very cheap. http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product ... 203ri.html
  17. Mine should come in under £300 this year.
  18. When I was 21 I remember paying £1100 to insure a Golf GTI 16v, nearly crippled me at uni. Hind sight is 20/20, but have a serious think about spending that sort of money on insurance. It's dead money, you'll never see it again or have anything tangible to show for it unless you have a smack.
  19. Saw two today, one modded blade/gm with a black roof and after market rear lights driving through town. The second was also blade/gm, though he/she was driving like a bit of a berk along the seafront, place was heaving with kids, driving far too fast.
  20. Heading from Helston towards Truro, would of tried to get a closer look but I was driving the wife's Celica so couldn't catch up(!) Looked like a cracking example, albeit from a distance.
  21. Thats why my Z use to live at the furtherest end of the car park, it meant i had to walk for a extra 2 minutes but at least i knew my Z would be safe Thay is exactly what I do, yet some village idiot still managed to bash it. A friend in the trade who will take a look at it tomorrrow, will update then.
  22. Where is the best place to get an oem bumper?
  23. Feeling slightly better now than I did 3 hours ago....it is only a car after all (albeit my pride and joy!!) Still can't get my head around how someone in the 'caring profession' can be so dishonest.
  24. Loonking into it now, suddenly the driver window playing up seems very trivial. Insurance would premium double ~£750. Boils down to how much a bumper would cost
