  1. Thanks for the great tip. Net arrived today £8 perfect. Not had a gen 1 so, wouldn't know if its narrower or not. Looks spot on to me. Regards
  2. Hi, The old adage is true for the Z as for other cars. "Speedi s a matter of mony, How fast can you go" Before throwing more fuel at it. I would suggest improving getting it in there and then back out. There are loads of CAI's out there and the flavor choice is yours. I have Dual NISMO CAI's personal chioce, but take a look at whats on offer. Exhausts again vary greatly, but this is again is your choice and none are cheap (well to me anyway) How much power it makes and as importantly how much noise it makes will influence your choices. 20 extra horses is fantastic, but if this thing drives you mad on tickover you'll hate every minute of it. Hope this helps (a Bit)
  3. Hi, Welcome to the forum I'm near to you up the road in Cas. I'm sure we'll spot each other. Mines a very reserved bright orange Z. I've done the head unit change. Beware its a bit of a git especiially if you have the factory sat nav. Drop me a msg and you can take a look at the set up. It may help you to decide the way to go. Had my Z since feb and still grinning
  4. I am with you on this. I have white reflectors on my GM Zed and I think they look different and pretty cool. Thanks. I think they finish off nicely on an orange car. I suppose not everybody likes the same thing, but thats what makes modding great. Vive le differance.
  5. Hi There not as bright as they look (Long exposure, Night shot, No flash, Technical), but hey each to their own. I like em !
  6. Hi All, Got some new detailin stuff myself last week. from cleanyourcar.co.uk up ere in't north (Huddersfield based supplier) Meguiars anti-grit bucket, Foam lance and Ph neutal Snow foam. Only 1 word. "Amazing" 1 inch of foam concentrate in the bottle connected it to the Karcher and in less than a minute the Z looked like it had been in a blizzard and to coin a phrase "It gets into all the knooks and crannies". Next time I do it I'll take a few pics and post-em. Foam Lance £44, Bucket £17 and Snow foam 5Lt £15. Worth every penny. Give it a try
  7. Hi, I've scoured the net for a Cargo net.(No pun intended) The prices vary from reasonable to ridiculous, But a reliable source would help. Any suggestions on suppliers. No joy with the forum search either. Thanks
  8. Marker lights are not illegal in the right colour. Look at the headlight on the facelift Z. Must have been a slow day for him or he was being a bit of a Dick
  9. About $130. Zstore.com in the us. 3 different colours available I think and some really Gucci ones that change colour, But they were a bit more money. My Spary chearged me £40 to wire them and he helped me get the arches out (good lad). I think he was keener than me to see them light up.
  10. Hi This is the best pic I have at the moment. Didn't think to get that close (Doh), But Yeh White on Azure would, But they do a blue version as well.
  11. Thanks, Glad I did it while its still new ish. I think it would have been a right pain. After a couple of winters if the fastening had been a bit oxidised , but I'm well pleased with the results. It does look SOooo Goood. Front Z Emblem Next
  12. Last couple of shots for the full effect.
  13. Hi All, Just completed some subtle styling mods this week thought I might share the pics and you might like to take a look. Not too difficult to do, but a little fiddly. Have to remove both arch splash liners and move Nr side headlamp washer over a bit for the fitting process of getting the screws out and back in. The wing Z Logo's were easy. Same process with the arch splash liner. Both sets of LED's and connected into the Park light system. I got a Car Sparky in for that bit. ("Know your limitations and then break them" is my usual motto, But with a new motor I put it on hold). I think it was worth it though and the overall effect if pretty cool and finishes of the front nicely. Ive got a few more pics, but could only upload 3 at a time for some reason. Helimeddaz.
  14. Rob at Mad Motors is a top Bloke. (Really Helpfull, Recommended) I've had Mega problems with a Seibon front lip though. 2nd one and still no good. Cracked and twisted. Robs helped me alot as the supplier, but wouldn't have another from Seibon. Poor fit and finish. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings. Let me know how you go with the Seibon stuff.
  15. Glad their servicing is good, because their sales manager is very poor. Poor attitude and poor customer service. Completed a deal for a new Z in silver with the salesman, only to find that when I got home and phone to confirm the the sales manager had over ruled him and cancelled the deal. Then didn't return calls and then was impolite when he finally did a day later. Got my Z in the end from west london motor group (hanwell). Top Blokes Omar & Ash. couldn't do enough for me. Highly recommended 10 out of 10. Need somewhere good in Yorkshire to look after my Z though
  16. copied what? The NISMO V.3 spoiler £2000 is a bit steep.

    HKS Dual Ti

Hi All, Does anyone have a HKS Dual Ti system fitted? (Cant find out in seach). If so whats it like for normal day to day running? Z is my daily driver and I dont want something that breaks windows on tickover. If its really intrusive or loud at 30mph I'm sure it will P"££ me off quite quickly. I only want it to wail when I poke it hard with a sharp stick(so to speak). So, I suppose what I want is the best of both worlds. Simple really!
  18. Do ya wanna shift that seibon lip? if your interested in selling it gimme a shout As I said this thing has a twist in it and a small crack in the carbon UV cover. The twist comes out when its offered up to the car. The body shop said it would be ok once permanently fixed, But if it was me I'd have a plastic skin put on it like the one I've seen on a members bonnet elsewhere on the forum. Once I've sorted out what I'm doing and if I can find the NISMO lip I'm after, I'll let you know.
  19. Anybody copied this yet?
  20. Do you have a picture of this ?
  21. Tried these already. Dont have 1, but thanks anyway.
  22. The final solution to this needs to be based on what you want from your install. I've just had all the Bose stuff taken out of my car and replaced. I wanted a totally steath install. The fronts were replaced with Hertz Hi-Enegy space components. The rears with Hi-Energy 2 ways colour matched cones to the car (Orange). The rears haves Hertz bar grills. The fronts and rear are driven by an Alpine V12 545 amp as most head units give up early on in the power game. This is mounted in the passenger glove box behind the seat with a 6 disc changer sat on top of it I had an Alpine 10" sub mounted in the original place in the Z with a custom box built in around it and moves 13 time more air than the bose did. This is driven by an Alpine 1000Watt monoblock amp, Mounted in the bulkhead where the Bose amp used to be. The Head unit is an Alpine 1din flip out mounted in the bottom of a dash double din converter and above this an Alpine Ipod draw to finish off the dash nicely. If you're going for power Dynamat everything or you'll the interior will shake itself to bits. (Really). I went for steath which limits your options and I wanted to keep my boot space (what little there is). If you want more show then the world is you toasted muffin (dont like oysters). My advice is find a great installer and talk alot about what you want before you start. Regards.
