Tim, gave the car a pass with the prime lime on the sfx 2 pad and it had a much better effect than the sonus compound. i'll wait until next month and ill get some of the megs you suggested. Cheers again Chris

just wondering if somebody on here can give me a bit of advice. I have the sonus sfx kit which came with my DA. I gave my car a quick try with the medium pad and medium cutting compound which has bought up the finish really well but there is still come light swirling. I know the nissan paint is soft so i didnt want to use a hard pad and hard compound. Would i be best off using a hard pad with a medium compound of a medium pad with a hard compound. I have heard some people have had great result using prime lime on a DA so would that be worth a try or just stick with the sonus and then finish with prime lime? Cheers in advance, Chris

Been looking recently and sorting out the rest of my audio and have heard/read really good things about inphase audio, it gets better when i look at their website and see that their demo car is a zed, which i think looks fantastic. Does any body had any of this gear fitted? Currently im looking at ..... ha ha only joking im looking at the difference in both the xtc and pro range. Any feed back would be great. wakeboarding mate, hence the tower. also wakeskating and wakesurfing, have never been on two ski's in my life. I thought the gel coat would be really soft so only took fairly fine compounds (sonus) but next time would be more confident on using something a little harsher to really get into the deeper scratches. cheers for the comments Chris

If this is in the wrong section then please feel free to move, it does have a 5.7l v8 so i thought that might count. Spent the whole day yesterday detailing our boat. Its been used a fair bit this season and really needed a good going over so took the Kestral and some polish to see what could be done. There were some really bad watermarks and sun damage which has 90% been fixed. I would like to have spent more time on it but i was working on the floating lift which was a bit awkward and not much room. Any way here are some pics before i started... I dont have any during pictures but basically, used the same methods as i would a car. and finally... only job i didnt have time for was the carpet although that has been done now, as well as the engine bay but that is a different story. mate i did the same thing about a month ago and just forked out £250 to have it fixed and resprayed.
