If you had an absolute maximum budget of 14k which zed would you choose ? Im at a bit of a dilema really , do i buy a cheaper z say a 53 or 54 plate for say £11 - 12k then have some money to put a nismo kit on and maybe change the wheels. Pros - Mod money , cheaper tax , a bit of money left over Cons - probably higher mileage 45 k plus maybe non Gt spec. or Do i buy the newest and low mileage zed i can afford which is probably a 06 plate with 20 - 30 k any mod bit by bit. Pro's - New car,low mileage Cons - car tax will be ,£435 a year instead of £235. right at the top of my budget , by the time i have added a few bits car will have cost me another few grand. Choices at the moment - choice 1 - http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ogcode=flp top of budget , wasnt really my top colour, good mileage otherwise ok choice 2 , http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p love the colour but why did it have to be non GT ?!, do i put up with no leather ? Guys , i have seen a couple of Z's that are low mileage , tick all the boxes but dont have leather seats. Apart from sourcing some 2nd hand Gt ones , has anyone fitted some aftermarket ones that are factory look ish? Not keen on the Bride seats etc , would prefer a factory look or something not too 'track' oriented any reasonably cheap upgrades been carried out on here ?

I was wondering what peoples approach was when buying cars from garages. I automatically assume every dealer should knock off £300 quid for a cash deal?! Some play hard ball and say screen price or nothing ! , some wont even give you tax if you pay screen price ! Whats your approach , do you go in asking for lots of money off and walk if they dont play ball ?

ooh ! popular thread , my budget seems to be going up and up to get what i want ! hopefully in next 2 weeks i will find something, mad busy at the mo too which is hindering my viewing time, already missed out on a couple as didnt get there quick enough

my budget is 13k , went to see this one as it was cheap !

well went to have a look this morning the car itself was not too bad , rays needed a refurb , paint was original bar front bumper and the passenger rear quarter has been sprayed at some point which were no biggys (picked up with my paint thickness guage !) however the service history got me worried 2 owners 1st was nissan main dealer was an ex demonstator , the car did 27,000 miles in 1 year 3 months in two months it had done 11 k! , no big problem as it was serviced afterwards the next owner then bought it and did 8,000 miles in 4 years however it was only just serviced at 34,000 . I know it has only just done 8, 000 miles since last service but i would at least get the oil changed after say 18 months anyway ? am i being picky ?! the other thing was the clutch biting point was right at the end of its travel ie biting point was not far off foot off the pedal is this normal for a zed ? on the whole the car was ok and im sure he will sell any comments?

think i will go and take a look in the morning , fingers crossed if its a good un i will have have £2k spare in my budget for mods
