    Be prepared for fogging on the windscreen if you keep turnig the A/C on and off - there's a thread about that somewhere, but i'll let you learn how to use the search button. Better to keep it on, the extra fuel it uses is negligable and you can always put the temp higher. It's just getting the load on the engine that helps smooth the idle.

    A34 in either direction between the M3 and M40 - nly 2 lane dual carriagwway with lots of lorries. Either the idiots in slow cars don't pull back to the left after overtaking and it becomes a 1 lane D/C or worse, a lorry doing 56mph tries to overtake another doing 55.9 and fails after 4 miles

    You may regret that later. me and most of the rest of the fleet it seems. Perhaps your alternative strategy will work out but i didn't like the forecast winds for the next 36 hours if i went due west
