  1. I have a perfect set of rear winter 'training' tyres for sale, the tread is down to about 4mm so will give you an exellent base for which to practice on

These RE050A's are the ultimate tyre for the hairy chested winter warrior :#1:

The alloys have Bridgestone 40's on there now, perfect for winter training.... :scare: .....but I'm wimping out and going for some winters ;)

  2. I sat in an S2000 as it was on my shopping list along with the 350z but the S2000's interior space is small (I'm 5'11"). It was a GT spec with the hardtop roof and I felt very claustrophobic in there. I didn't even test drive it because I knew I didn't like it from that point. The 350z in comparison has acres of space and can accommodate all drivers IMHO.

The EVO's interior won't matter a jot when you feel a 320bhp+ turbo shove (like being hit in the face with a shovel....without the broken nose). The sheer acceleration force of a tuned Evo and it's "like @*!# to a blanket" handling will scare and excite in equal measure.

I used to own two highly tuned Subaru Imprezas (a classic and a bugeye) and changed to a 350Z because I thought I'd end up in a field on my roof one day when I pushed it too far. :scare:. The thing is, even though my zed is mildly tuned, the adrenalin rush of a big turbo is something I'll return to one day.....guess I'm 42 going on 17

Go and have a look/test drive and see if any of them float your boat. :)

  3. I'd be more concerned about leaving my 370z gearbox change in the hands of a dealership that doesn't sell & therefore doesn't service 370z's. I can only imagine what the test drive will be like to make sure the gearbox is ok.

I don't trust many people to work on my car unless they are known good specialists,e.g. Horsham Developments, Abbey etc. I understand you have to use a Nissan dealer but I'd be doing a little bit more research and getting my car sorted at one of the better ones that sells and has experience of 370z's, even of it was miles away IMHO.

Good luck to the OP, fingers crossed for a positive experience and outcome.

  4. Little scratch in mine had been getting on my nerves :( so wondering if anyone has an excellent condition spare?

Ideally from a 2005 model year (phase 1, manual box) as I think the early cars had different colours.

    Thanks,

    Dean.

  5. I do have an easy fix for this: park with the nose down hill. Mine collects water but only when parked nose up. Water gets in and gets trapped below the back of the door, but seems to drain ok from the front of the door.

Same here....park nose up and water collects....park nose down (even slightly) and no water :). The car should not do this though

  6. There seems to be no straight answer when it comes to finding the exact replacement bulb fitments for the UK 350Z. The following list of fitments comes from one of the usual internet based bulb sellers but there does seems to be mixed reports (based on forum threads) about the correct fitment list. With this in mind I thought I'd post this up as a starter for 10 and update as responses flood (or should I say trickle) in

  7. I would recommend adding a braided clutch line at the same time, as this will help along with the new fluid. Even though I'm reasonably good with the spanners, I got my clutch fluid (and clutch line) changed at Horsham Developments

  8. I'm looking forward to feeling the difference on track with Llandow in September

Let me know when you are there, I may pop down to see the TT in action

Also, watch for excessive front left tyre wear at Llandow, ruined a nearly new Toyo Proxes T1R there in one day (In my Mk2 Honda CRX 16v) a few years ago.

  9. My second visit to see Jez and Carl at Horsham Developments yesterday and would like to thank them both for their sterling work.:thumbs::thumbs:

I eventually got my Horsham supplied HEL brake lines fitted along with a brake fluid swap and suspension alignment.

You really cannot go wrong with Horsham Developments, excellent service yet again :#1:
