I am selling my Morel Dotec Ovation 6.5†Midrange speakers plus birch ply mounting rings for 350z front doors. The rings were mounted to the door frame using three small screws, with the rings being covered in dynaliner foam to stop vibrations and keep moisture out. I will also include my used skinz moisture guards which were also used in the install (these are material shrouds fitted over the back of the speaker to shield it from any debris inside the door cavity).
These midrange speakers were supplied and installed into my 350z by professional in car entertainment specialists, Sonic Frontiers (http://www.sonicfrontiers.co.uk/1377/nissan-350z-from-oem-bose-to-superior-sonic-punch/).
Lee from Sonic Frontiers also used Morel MT-23 tweeters in custom built a-pillars (see separate for sale advert) and DLS Reference R6A Passive Crossovers, “to get the best crossover slope and setting for the 350z’s acousticsâ€) to provide a custom front end listening experience that did not disappoint in clarity, detail, slam and staging, placing vocals separately and clearly at the driving position.

I've always wanted to upgrade my sub but haven't bothered due to it being such a big job. This looks good but way out my budget!
Does this connect to existing wires disconnected from the factory Bose sub or will new wires have to be ran through the car from the head unit and battery?
My install did not use any of the original factory wiring at all mate. This enclosure was connected to a Genesis Profile 4 Ultra amplifier via Supra subwoofer speaker cable. The Genesis amplifier was housed in the glovebox (behind the passenger seat) and it powered my Morel mids and tweets up front (via DLS passive x-overs) and the Rainbow sub enclosure. The Genesis amp was connected to an Alpine head unit via 2 x phono cables. None of the standard equipment or cabling was ever used, it was just left in situ so that the original BOSE kit could be re-installed prior to sale of my car.
-
Any pictures of it actually installed?
The first picture in the initial post
and this one...
-
The sub enclosure was built for me by a specialist award winning in car entertainment company called Sonic Frontiers, for a bespoke SQ installation in my now sold 350Z.
http://www.sonicfron...or-sonic-punch/
The enclosure is designed to fit into the void left after removing the OEM BOSE sub. It has been built from birch ply and has been part covered in dynaliner with added acoustic treatment for the sub. To ensure the best connection, Supra hi-end gold terminals have been fitted to the enclosure.
The sub fitted is the Rainbow Profi 10" subwoofer. I cannot describe just how clean and low this woofer performs. If you like clean, accurate, punchy bass with little boom, it doesn’t get much better than this.
The sub was driven by a Genesis Profile 4 Ultra amplifier via Supra subwoofer 1.2 mtr cable. I will be selling the amp separately.
The original cost to me was £660, this included the Rainbow Profi 10†subwoofer, Supra gold terminals, 1.2 meters of Supra sub speaker cable & custom fabrication.
To fit, you will need to remove the original BOSE subwoofer and some trim. I will supply more pictures and information to help with the installation of the enclosure.
Price = £355 including postage, or £320 collected (from Neath, South Wales).

These were built for me by a specialist award winning in car entertainment company called Sonic Frontiers for a bespoke SQ installation in my now sold 350Z.
http://www.sonicfron...or-sonic-punch/
The fabrication has angled the tweeters to provide optimum front end staging for the 350z. Genuine alcantara has been used to cover the a-pillars and as they are built from the OEM trim, fit perfectly.
The Morel MT-23 tweeters have been molded into the structure, providing a solid mount and vibration free fit.
These cost me £485 for the Morel tweeters & custom fabrication.
Price = £245 including postage.

Sold to a new forum member.....couldn't bear to watch it being driven away.

Extra interior pictures added to the first post.

Ok so how stupid do I feel....
Got home, popped in an original CD (not a duff copy) and bingo, sound is back. Seems the copy CD I grabbed on the way out of the house this morning was to blame. This worked fine in my Alpine unit but not in the BOSE.
Happy days
-
depending on where it was stored, perhaps there is some condensation on the laser lens?
It had been stored in a cupboard at home, so apart for a little surface dust, should be moisture free.
It's been in the car since Saturday and I only used the CD player today, just tested the radio previously, so any condensation should have cleared.
The BOSE reads the CD tracks and you can ffwd, move to the next track just fine (with seconds elapsed showing etc), just no sound (even with volume at max).
Think I'm now resigned to re-installing my Alpine for the new owner (my car is currently for sale).
-
I have just re-installed my BOSE audio and while the CD player operates perfectly, I have no sound at all (worked perfectly when removed 2 years ago). Only the CD player is effected as the radio works fine.
Just want to confirm that this is a "normal" BOSE CD issue and not something unique?
Thanks,
Dean

Will be taking some more interior pictures tomorrow & posting on the thread.

Great advert ~ one thing, ...the dates wrong for when you had the 4 wheel alignment done. Guessing it should say 2014 & not 2015.
GLWTS.
Good spot, now amended

I am reluctantly selling my UK supplied GT specification 2005 3.5 litre V6 Gunmetal Grey Nissan 350z, which I purchased in July 2011. I currently use the car as a daily driver to commute 90 miles a day were it returns a steady 32mpg. I have ordered a small diesel estate to use as my new daily driver, so the “zed†has to go and provide fun and excitement to a new lucky owner.
Key Details
Mileage 90250
Full 12 months MOT from January 2015
Original service book, two keys plus valet key and all manuals available.
2005 UK model year meaning this 350Z sits in the lower tax bracket
Brembo brake callipers, DBA (Disc Brakes Australia) grooved discs & Ferrodo 2500 pads front and back.
Xenon headlights & headlight wash
Black leather heated seats with electronic adjustment (GT Pack)
Climate control
Cruise control
BOSE Stereo
Electric/heated/folding mirrors
Electric Windows
18" Touring alloys
Run exclusively on Momentum 99 or Shell Optimax only during my ownership, I am the third owner.
3.5 litre V6 (290bhp) after UpRev remap by 350z specialist, Horsham Developments, currently showing 32.4mpg on the trip computer too, showing how frugal such a fantastic engine can be if mapped professionally and driven with maturity.
Horsham Developments Plenum spacer
DC Sports exhaust system
Berks High Flow Catalytic Converters
Super-Pro Polyurethane suspension bushes (all the usual one that wear have been replaced)
New powder coated W Stay Tunnel Brace has been fitted last OctoberThe car is in fantastic condition for its age and mileage but does have the usual 350Z stone chips on the front bumper. All of the paintwork is original so no panels have been touched up or re-sprayed.

Why buy this car?
Meticulously maintained example with the last service (P3 – the big one) carried out at 89,060 along with professional 4 wheel suspension alignment at 350Z specialists, Horsham Developments on 17th December 2014
All 350z problem areas addressed, so nothing for the new owner to worry about, e.g. Super-Pro bushes fitted (£450), new cooling and aircon fan motors (£700) & new W stay tunnel brace fitted (£250). I suspect other 350Z’s for sale will have these problems lurking, potentially costing the new owner time and money to replace.
Recent clutch and flywheel replacement (£850)
The 3.5 litre V6 has been unleashed with a package of trusted and known modifications including; plenum spacer, high flow cats, stainless steel exhaust system and specialist UpRev remap, providing a creamy smooth 290bhp with amazing fuel economy of 31+ mpg.
Price £6,750

Can a moderator please close this thread. Thanks.

Mod's don't add value.
Think you're asking for too much.
Best off returning to basic and selling the extras.
Ok mate, will consider my options over the weekend, thanks for the feedback
-
So do you think a price of £7250 with standard BOSE system re-fitted is ok?
Bear in mind that the car has;
Recent clutch/flywheel (which will last as I do motorway miles) an UpRev remap with plenum spacer, DC Sports exhaust, Berks HFC's, Super-pro bushes, replacement W brace, new fan motors, braided brake and clutch lines & DBA4000 brake discs all round . Solid service history with a recent P3 at Horsham Developments.
An unmodified car would sell for around £6250 - £6500, therefore, and extra £750 seems very reasonable for the above modifications, I'd have thought?
Opinions appreciated via PM if you don't want to add them to the thread

It's difficult to price a car with the modifications added but I think I'm asking a reasonable price , but would welcome some constructive feedback
Thanks,
Dean
