KW is a candidate for sure... Really is the V2 and V3 though. V2 is single adjustable, the V3 is dual adjustable, but both are Twin-Tube Dampers. So which one would you go for? And why?
-
Just a general questions to the community. Many of us searching for high-end adjustable suspension are face with many choices. As it will be a huge investments for most of us, we all want to make sure that we are making the right decision. But ultimately, it comes down to prices and what we can afford. We would all love to ride on a set of Ohlins DFV, but at £2500 a set it is just a bit outside of the budget for many of us. So the questions here is what "High End" suspension do you think you can afford? How much is it? And why would you choose that over anything else in the same price bracket? As the keyword here is 'affordable', lets try to keep the RRP of the coilovers below £1500.

Just an Early Reminder that price will go up in March.

As a trader on the 350Z Forum, I would like to offer a 10% discount to 350Z Members on MeisterR Coilovers. I have not set a date on when this offer will finish, but I will give ample warning before I take the offer off. How to get discount off MeisterR Coilovers? Simple order the coilovers out want from our CyberSpeeds Webshop. http://www.cyberspeeds.com On Check Out, just enter the voucher code 350Z10 This will apply the 10% discount... Simple. Advance Notice: Due to raising cost, the RRP of the MeisterR Coilovers will be adjusted at 1st of March. Therefore if anyone is interested in getting coilovers, it would be good to try to purchase them before the RRP goes up.

Was down at shakespeare county raceway with a few friend in the MeisterR R32 GTR and thought this video was a bit funny. Was still staging when the marshall drop the light, so my friends got a 3.4 seconds head start on me... But manage to catch up to him by the end and beat him by 0.039 of a second (thats is 39 milliseconds)! It wasn't a real race, but it was just funny to catch up and still cross the line first from such a massive head start. The run itself isn't any good either with wheel spin in most of first gear... I uploaded a few more video so join our channel at: http://www.youtube.com/user/MeisterRcoilovers Of course, you can always find us on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/MeisterR.UK

What a end to the 2011 British Drift Championship. The final round at the Nissan Factory was tense, as the championship was up for grab and it was anyone's game! I am happy to announce that MeisterR had a great finish sponsoring the champion of the professional class and the runner-up of the super professional class. Both cars are using off the shelf MeisterR Zeta-R Coilovers, and have ran though the entire season without skipping a beat. So excited to share the news and my biggest congratulation to the Team and the Driver! Roll on 2012 and we will be back better and stronger!!!

Depend on how much you want to lower the car... if it is a fair bit then the Geo may be out quite a bit. But every car is a bit different so you will need to see what the Geo figures is on a 3D imaging system (Hunter, Pro Align, etc) Depending on what you want, we also have the Zeta-R coilovers that could be interesting for you. The Zeta-R coilovers is a True Coilovers Design, and do away with the out board springs of the 350Z. This allows the rear to run a standard linear rate ID springs and retain the dual perch design of the coilovers. This mean you can adjust the ride height without affecting the damper stroke travel of the rear suspension. The kit also comes with a rear toe arms that replace the standard lower arms (the one that the springs sit on). This will allow accurate rear toe adjustments and no matter how low you go. There are a few things ways to lower the car, but it depends on what you are after and how you want to use the car.
-
There are a few way to give better handling without lowering the car. The Z is hardly very high standard anyways. We do have two different option, MeisterR Zeta-S Coilovers and Zeta-R Coilovers (True Coilovers Design). For what you want, I think the Zeta-S will do the job just fine. One of the main improvement of coilovers is the ability to use linear rate springs. This will give smoother weight transition than progressive rate springs meaning you will have less worry over sudden weight changes. This give the driver more confidence as you will know what to expect. As far as the damping goes, you are correct that you do not want over valved dampers for uneven B-road surfaces. The ability to adjust the dampers will allow you to adjust the front/rear bias of the car to your personal preference and of course to the road surfaces. Another good upgrade is that you will be going from the standard Twin-Tube dampers to a high performance Mono-Tube Dampers. These give more sensitive and more consistent damping characteristic, and it is something you will feel when driving over fast B-road surfaces. And if you are only lowering 15mm or so (or even standard height), then there should be no need for adjustable arms as there are some adjustable available standard already. ARB is something I normally something I leave till the end because I find that there are so much adjustments you can do with a good set of coilovers that often there are no need for ARB if you can get the car to perform the way you want them to. Hope that helps, and please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.

After quite a while getting all kind of things sorted, finally the GTR is back in the sun in the new skin! I like to thanks the following people for helping me getting the car back up and running: Marshall @ MnM Engineering: General servicing and just getting anything done (from changing engine oil to dropping the gearbox!) Greg @ ProTuner: Awesome Mapping using the HKS Fcon V Pro 3.0 that most HKS PowerWriter refuse to use or say can no longer be mapped. Great Job and proves that sometime you just need the right person to get what you have in the car working! Dixon @ DMS Racing: Painting the wheels and wings red... Looks awesome and matching the paint to the vinyl colour was not a easy job. Paul @ SharpSign: Getting the vinyl done in VERY SHORT NOTICE!!! So here are the result and the new look for 2011. Been a long time without driving the GTR, sure feels good to be behind the steering wheel again. Will bring up more details later and the goal this year is to chase after the ever eluding 10 seconds quarter mile along with testing a few new things! Hope to see you guys at a show / meet sometime in the near future.

MeisterR on Front Cover of Jap Performance!

Mark's old car was the SVA 350Z. And this Supra is on the top end of the BDC championship right now. We might see MeisterR on the podium at the end of the year. -

Generally... 2nd hand coilovers isn't the best idea unless you know its history. Afterall, damper is a wear and tear item... so it will fail one day no matter what make it is. 2nd hand coilovers from Japan actually isn't the best idea because you have to think about service also. It is false economy to buy something that are £400 thinking you got a good deal, just to find out that the only way to service them is to send it back to Japan or buy a brand new damper from Japan if things goes wrong... UK Support is very important. As far as what coilovers to go for, it depends on what you want to do with your car? Do you just want to lower it? How low do you want to go? What type of road surfaces will you drive on most often (Fast Uneven Country Roads or Dead Flat Track Surfaces). All that will make a difference of what is best for you. We just recently finish off our MeisterR Zeta-S and the new Zeta-R suspension for the 350Z The Zeta-S will be a standard fitment coilovers, but of course it will be our normal dual perch design. The Zeta-R will be a True Coilovers fitment, and will come with a new adjustable rear toe arm to replace the standard arms. People looking for easy adjustments and also more control over their suspension setup would love the Zeta-R as it makes adjusting height and changing springs rate much easier than the standard fitment. You will also have more control over the rear toe setting, especially when you are going low.

Just want to give my congrats to Mark Luney and the SATS Cosworth Team for winning Super Pro Class at BDC 2011 Round 1. Great way to start the season and the car is looking in good form. Also to Richard at Performance Autoworks for winning both races at Mallory Park in Round 2 of VTEC Challenge. That is 4 Win from 4 Start and it is making Richard as the man to beat in this race season!!! Got a video from Team SATS Cosworth of the new 2011 Drift Supra. Thought it was worth a show to everyone... hoping to see it compete and win this year as it got VERY close last year! Last year the car lost the BDC Championship due to an engine failure at the last round... and I am sure Cosworth will take care of that this year. Of course... the Supra have been running on MeisterR Zeta-R coilovers which have been performing faultlessly throughout last season.
