  1. I'm thinking of the Toyota Hilux that Top Gear couldn't kill.................

Yeah that was one of my first thoughts but I think Top Gear raised the value on these everywhere! Even 10 years old with +100,000 miles plus they are going for a lot of cash considering.

  2. No not cheesy lines for the ladies.

My Dad is in the market for a pickup type 4x4. He's been eyeing up Nissan Navaras, Mitsi L200s etc.

Doesnt have to be pretty but does need to be reliable, 4 door version ideal and sub £4k

Just wondered if anyone had any experience of these types and what's any good?

They seem quite pricey to me

  3. I'm sure you guys already know but I'm just down the road from Ian and Nurrish in (Don't call me) Shirley. So :bye:

Now if I could just stop being so picky and buy one I may be actually joining you in a Zed! (Not my FTO)

Actually I may be going to look at one very soon... :ninja:

  4. Thought I'd show you guys how to do it properly:

Behold the beer sculpture we made in my student house not 3 years ago...

We were so proud of our post-party achievement that it remained for several months, then someone fell into it at another p1ss-up.

    Good times...

  5. This is the most interesting thread i've read in months! (With the exception of PhilTheForce hitting on Zedrush's sister of course...)

Keep us updated, i'd be keen for a saturday tuning session.

:lol: I think it was his cousin and she never actually got in touch...

My only consolation is the promise of this thread...

  6. Working in an office is basically slow death.

I don't even work in a proper office and it's still painful. It's all a means to an end with me though.

Get the money, get the car, do the travelling, invest the money, work for myself.

Shame it takes so damn long though!

I know what you mean about the bike though - I miss it.

  7. Only just noticed this, thanks Nixy!

You may be interested/bored to tears to know I have a friend that actually designs a lot of the Star Wars t-shirts you see in the shops.

Oh and yes I had a great Star Wars day yesterday! (May 4th) It's not just a running joke but is actually the date when the original films were released (or were scheduled to be), so it's a yearly celebration of all things SW.

  8. i'm on there as well

look for richard thompson, location should be ipswich

will go on later when i get home and add some people but no access at school. although the kids seem to find websites that allow them to bypass security. might have to go into one of the detentions and find out how they do it.

They'll be using a proxy site of some variety. There's hundreds but most Internet filters are wise to the old ones now.

  9. Oh Philtheforce, I clicked on your linkbut instantly clicked on one of your friends that popped up! She was rather attractive.... You might be a geek but I'll let you off!

You disgust me perving over my female friends like that. (Thats my job  )

Who was it by the way?! She may be taken  Single  or I've been there :scare:

  10. explains the user name!

I love star wars..........but the old trilogy not the new crap ones!

when I was Access all Areas at the last Star Wars convention.

    :scare::scare::scare::scare:

haha, My friends work for the design team that produced the tickets, posters etc so, knowing I was a huge fan they hooked me up with a pass.

I spent the weekend literally hanging out with the cast and crew of my favourite film - was very surreal.

I hasten to add I'm not one of these that dress up as a jedi...or Princess Leia.

  11. explains the user name!

I love star wars..........but the old trilogy not the new crap ones!

Haha, told you I was a geek! A lot of my pics are from when I was Access all Areas at the last Star Wars convention. There's an awesome pic of me and Mark Hamill!

Come on though Nix, you view my profile but don't even get involved in my current debate on there...Pirate vs Knight - who would win?!

(haha, I've just started a thread about that show)

  12. Anyone seen this show on Spike TV?

Each episode pits 2 of histories greatest warriors against each other. They then test all the traditional weaponry, tactics and armour using modern forensic techniques and equipment. The data is then fed into a computer simulation which calculates a winner. :#1:

Sounds pretty ridiculous huh? Well it is a little, but it's also pretty cool and settles many of the age old pub debates!

Although I was a little gutted at the outcome of Spartan/Ninja :lol:

  13. £89 mill..... I'm up for that.

My other half has already requested a red Enzo for SoBe, Miami.....

Ah I love SoBe - my second home! (to steal off Will Smith)

Not so keen on a big country house though. I'm a city boy and I'd get bored.

If I had that kind of money I'd have a big ass underground garage (think Dark Knight Batcave)

  14. 15,000 - World domination and sexual favours from all female members.

    20,000 - A free sticker

That's an immature, ridiculous comment... No way should free stickers be given out.

    ;)

  15. a turbo r1 can go at 10mph if you let it,

it doesnt automatically go to 200mph (i don't think anyway)

just doing some touch ups to bar ends and bolts today then hopefully a clean later on!

    Adam

True True, although theres some bikes I'd be terrified to have anything to do with!

Ever see this concept from a few years ago? (The most ridiculous thing Ive ever seen)

Dodge Viper engine in a Bike = Instant Death at 300mph :scare:

  16. Was tres sunny over the weekend so took my bike out for a ride. Was going towards my dads (via Nurrish's road incidentally) and saw a grey Lambo and White R8 giving it some against each other.

I beat them both for the whole length of the road...

...must be the only time speedbumps have worked in my favour!:lol::lol:
