  1. 2 cars dug out from the camera, both were subject to a full Envy Car Care protection detail at our Gosport HQ.

No before pictures but shots of the finished results. The usual process for our protection details ie wash wheels, snow foam, TBM wash regime then indoors for a clay and cleansed with Britemax AIO via the Largefoot. Buffed off and a coat of Britemax Vantage wax applied.

Tyres dressed, exhausts polished, glass cleaned then a full interior detail sees the job done.

Possibly an award winning 50/50 on the G wagon for the tyre cover (you'll know it when you see it) via the Britemax metal twins!!

    Hope you like them.....

  2. Another detail carried out at our Gosport, Hampshire unit based HQ.

This Frozen white BMW had been on my radar since the owner bought it, so have been looking forward to doing it. Previously I'd have been looking at the Swissvax Opaque range which I carry, but now Nanolex have something for me to use. Seemed the obvious choice as a Nanolex Approved Detailer to use the Matte range:thumb:

  5. Good afternoon to you dear viewer(s?!) and hope you are sat comfortably.

I have for you today a rare treat, kindly afforded to me by the recent upgrade of our services to being enhanced by having a unit.

We are now able to do longer term work that requires a car to stay for a while, such as wheel refurbs, Ventureshield/PaintGuard installs, specialist Nanolex coatings (which need to cure for longer than is normally afforded) and the like.

This car was put through the mill, paint correction, a wheel refurb and the Ventureshield front end protection package. The final icing on the cake was 2 coats of Bouncers fabulous Vanilla Ice wax. UK produced, and applied with care and attention from our side ;)

Now, some of you will have already have seen the car before and know I've looked after it since new and no doubt be wondering why it needs paint correction! Well, she lives under a carcover which is tugged on and off (and yes I have mentioned Airchambers) and you can see the end result's here.

    Sit back, enjoy the ride.

Here she is after the trip down from Ascot with the newly refurbished wheels already fitted and sealed with Wolfs Rim shield

Wheels soaking with AS Smart wheels and door shuts given a spritz with G101 and soaking too whilst the Bubbly Jubbly SSF got to work.

Now, I had a dream about doing the car and I really wanted to be "Living the dream", as, in the dream I used my Flex with a soft pad and a refining polish and that was it! The reality was, sadly, different....

Yes to the Flex, but started with Scholl S17+ and a Megs Yellow pad and ended up on the Scholl SO3 Gold and did a 2 stage polish to correct the paint.

Coarse cut with the SO3 Gold, sometimes 2-3 hits followed by a refine and wipe down with Menzerna 85RE and Car-Pro Eraser.

This gave me the following view

  6. Starting to get prepared for the Autosport/Pistonheads show next week at the NEC. Dates are 10-13th January 2013 and it will be our 1st BIG show.

Currently pricing up stock to take. Will not be taking the full range but certainly will have the Envy Brushes, Dr Leather range (with similar discounts to what we had at Waxstock, so well worth stocking up!), Bouncers range of waxes and....we'll have to see how much room we have.

Please share and do come and see us look nervous!

    Cheers

    Tim

  7. I was at HaydnH's parents last week (thanks HaydnH!) to do a car from them and it was -4 when I arrived.

Turned the tap on the drive before I went down to say hello, and nothing came out (as you'd expect!)

Got hold of 2 really hot buckets of water, 1 to pour over the Kranzle as the piston likes to freeze solid when its that cold and one for the outside tap. The pressure washer free'd up but the tap was still frozen. I had to hold the bare copper pipe til the water flowed and that was no fun I can tell you.

After that the temp hovered at 0-1 and got the job done.

When I finished I had to sit on the Aga to get some feelings back in my hands....too cold

  8. Hey guys...

Im just making my Christmas list for my family's Secret Santa do tonight... :)

I need a new wheel cleaner having recently run out of my DoDo Juice Mellow Yellow. Last year i was talking to Clarkie34 about what he used on his Volks, and he said that Wolf's wheel cleaner was the best... i remember looking into it at the time and it was about £40 i think. However i'm looking for it now and i can only find 'Wolf Chemicals Nano Wheel Clean & Coat', and it's only £10 for 1 liter.

Does anyone know if this is the right stuff?

I need a PH neutral cleaner for use on my Volks, but this stuff says its acid based... (although only ph 5.5).

    http://www.detailedc...oat-1-litre-259

    Any thoughts?

Ohh one more question, does anyone know where to buy Turtlewax Nanotech Extreme products these days...? It appears halfords has stopped selling them.

I stock both the clean and coat and the de-ironizer product and use both in my detailing.

The de-ironizer is pretty much the ONLY wheel cleaner that is garanteed to be non harmful to the more exotic wheels out there (apart from Meguiars Hot Rims).

Its good for all wheel types but as with all wheel cleaners if in doubt try in a small inconspicuous area 1st.

Clean and coat is not 100% safe but it great for a quick seal of your wheels after if you dont want to go down the lengths of a dedicated wheel product to seal the rims.

    Best wishes

    Tim
