  1. Saw a Black with Black Rims & nismo spoiler on m25 between A3 and M3 at 16:30 27/02/09 looked great, anyone on here? B)

Hey Darren, that was me :) I did see you in a flash

Did you notice there was a GM 54 plate coupe in my tow for a few miles and i was wondering if it was someone on here we had our own mini-hoon which generated a lot of attention during the traffic jam.

Also spotted Azure coupe at a roundabout on a B road between Swindon and the A419 to Cirencester.

  2. If you are asking me to do the swap over as well, i'd still want the full asking price. Your old plenum would be payment for doing the work. Or as you bought the spoiler off me i'll do the collector for £150 and you can fit it in your own time and keep your old one. How does that sound?

sorry for late reply, i've just been too busy at work:headhurt:

    pm sent.

  3. Hi folks,

i have posted this guide to help anyone fit this specific spoiler or familiarise themselves with what lies underneath the OEM GT boot spoiler.

when i decided to install the nismo i asked for advice on the forum with very helpful inputs from more than a few members.

i had planned to do it myself but decided to get help from my local bodyshop (who have always been very good and reasonably priced) as it appeared it was not entirely straightforward :teeth:

    The main issues were:

    - firstly the fact that the spoiler had 4 bolts at the edges that fixed it to the boot while there are only 2 bolt holes pre-drilled with the GT spoiler which meant you had to drill 2 extra holes in the boot in addition to bonding-on the spoiler to ensure a secure fit :scare:

    - Secondly the pre-existing bolt holes where not inline with those of the spoiler :headhurt: so you may need to drill 4 new holes anyway and seal off the existing 2.

    - finally there was the issue of after taking off the GT spoiler (which is well bonded) likely meant you will end up needing a boot respray :scare: .

i took this all on board and approached Darren(Bodyshop maestro) who was up for the challenge. Needless to say it all went well and i am happy with the result.

  4. merci bucket mr zedrush. ;)

as for the french talking on the amp, maybe its a preprogrammed testing loop. i.e. its putt on so that they can test an amp with speakers with out having to connect up a radio.

if so you may have flicked a switch on somewhere or somehow activateda programme.

what is the french person saying. maybe its the clue to turning it off?

  7. Hey Adrian your car is schweet B) have u got the zorst on yet. It will be nice to see/hear in flesh.

BTW has anyone used eibach sportline springs + spacers(2omm) with rays? This is my plan though i am beginning to think it might be too low or rub, looking at the pics of your car.

    CS to the rescue? :teeth:

  8. :worthless:

Chill Trev, i will fit it between 2moro eve and sat so pics will follow.

Thanks for your input Ozz. CS was quick to give me the low down

Dave, sorry mate i don't have a decent camera down in plymouth but will get a post on the nav this weekend B) . you will be glad to know i have already done some extar modifications on it already :scare:

  9. Hi people,

Anyone out there with any pointers to fitting a V1 rear spoiler(ESR aftermarket item)?

i got one which i plan to install on fri/sat. its all prep, primed and painted to match :teeth:

i have noticed the are 4 bolts on the underside 2 of which match with that of the OEM boot lip spoiler.

Q1- is it necessary to drill for the other 2 bolts for proper fitting or would bonding/glueing be adequate on top of the matching 2 bolts (my concern is that if i wanted to revert the car to standard i will be left with 2 extra holes not covered by the OEM lip :scare: )

Q2- apart from the 2 bolts holding the OEM bootlip in place, is it bonded/glued down? how easy to remove?

Q3- once the above is carefully taken off would there be any exposed parts on the boot that would need sorting if not covered by the V1 spoiler? or would machine polishing be enough without need for boot respray?

i would be very grateful if you shared any relevant experience with this.

i suspect CS would be THE man :p

    cheers[/b]
