    Wider Tyres

As said before i run 235/40 front, 255/40 rear tyres and it seems like a great combo to me. Rolling is slightly less tho, so the car does sit a tad lower with them on. Looks much better than the stock tyre size IMO tho. If you get the rotas get some pics up, i am tempted by those myself.
  4. What wheels are these mate, they look great!
  5. Well done mate, they came out a lot better than the pics on my phone! I was ok, but my mate was desperate to get to the pub! I saw you drive past the pub we were in chris.
  6. Make sure you save us some spaces Will try mate,m but ill be off eating my dinner most likely!
  7. OK mate, just make sure you find my car and plonk yourself next to it
  8. The lowest bit i can see is a metal brace underneath that covers the exhaust mid pipe, i think that is whats rubbing. It seems fairly solid and i always go VERY slowly, so i dont think ill do any damage.
  9. Thanks CS, it does improve the look a lot to lower, but you NEED the spacers, the whels will look swallowed if you dont fit spacers aswell. I struggle with some speed humps and ramps aswell, one aspect to be aware of. The car does sit very low.
  10. I will be there early again, finish work at 6 and its on my way home, ill arrive before 7, and get some food.
  11. I have Rays with 235/40 F , 255/40 R tyres, lowered on the eibachs. The car looks and feels VERY low, i scrape the rubber on the bumper on virtually every speed hump there is, and find slopes in multi storey car parks scrape both the front lip and something underneath the car aswell... Could the slightly smalled tyre size be making that much difference?!
  12. Any ideas? Looks like a Nismo, but its taller, and the base is shaped dsifferently.
  13. I will be along, dont know about am/pm yet, depends what im doing friday night Imagine i will be AM tho, im normally up fairly early!
  14. Mine will be havingh a few various body bits on it by the summer, but im not even sure what ones myself yet, so im not saying anything!
  15. Good te see you managed to sort it for a tenner mate! Lucky Dan is popping down aswell. Just got to make sure i get there before him now so mine gets done first
  16. , Counting down the days then , Any hint of the route yet ? DUDE, she wont tell you the route thats the point! You pay your charity money and get a map on the night, stops a lot of the tight 'im not giving money to charity' people from taking part! Looking forward to it too lou, only 17 sleeps till my exhaust goes on aswell :-)
  17. ...Blimy it was cold this morning, my drivers door and boot were frozen locked shut, only way in was through the passengers door! Couldnt unlock the drivers door full stop until i havd the car driving for about half an hour! Finally got off my drive after clambering over the console to get the scraper, and OMG the roads were like ice rinks. Got to the main road after about 20 mins only to hit a HUGE tail back. Sit there for maybe 20 mins moved about 6ft, and a bloke comes walking down the queue telling us all that a lorry has overturned and blocked the main road in BOTH directions so were not going anywhere for a few hours and to try another way. Went up a country lane i know to skirt round it and my god i had to drive down it at tickover and the wheels /traction was still coming on every 5 seconds. Survived the 2-3 miles of this and got back on the main road again. WOOHOO i thought as i went up to 50 and hit another patch of ice smack bang in the middle of the A4, luckily i wasnt turning or anything and managed to control the slide until i was back on tarmac! Wasn't just me tho, the cars that had followed me thru the contry did the exact same all behind me, got to the roundabout just after and low and behold a car in the ditch. At this point i thought i was through the worst, got on the motorway only to find out there was a 12 car pile-up on my exit junction when i got there, so sat in a queue for another hour for it to be partially cleared. Just before work, another 2 cars smashed in on the other side! A BAD day to be an insurance company i think! Sorry for the essay guys! Adrian
  18. Hmm yeah i guess it depends on which ones, id be tempted by the optional RAYS 19" wheels to pout on a 350 if they fit ok? These ones....
  19. Blimy only 18 more sleeps! That means i better pull my finger out and get the money paid!
  20. lol.. how is London far!!! (I'm in Reading, so pretty much right by where you are!) This is the point of owning a car, so you can enjoy driving about to places that aren't just up the road! Reading area lot .. still going to meet at j11 M4 (Reading jap meet car park) then pick up some more from South Mimms Services on our way past Good stuff lou, will be meeting you there, let me know a time when you guys decide one.
  21. Yep, same as A bit of a dusting on the fields but thats it :D Did the pre-run on Saturday night. Adrian - no steep slopes, your splitter will be fine!! Good news Lou, thanks for that! No speed humps mean the exhaust will be safe too
  22. Yeah it'll be fine, you could always bung some exhaust wrap on it to seal it in the mean time if your worried about it.
  23. +1 - been itching for an excuse to mod mine. Currently has a massive 200GB drive in it which it doesnt need, will be good to see how the SSD runs as I've heard mixed reviews as to whether they are faster or not I don't think I have actually seen a review which says they are that much faster (maybe 5%) but nothing that 'normal' business will really expose. Will be intersting to see how it goes. Depends on the drive.... If the SSd you buy has a JMicron controller overall it will be simlar in performance in general to a normal 7200rpm HDD. Avoid JMicron drives for media use, they regularly freeze for seconds at a time (bug in the controller design) so u will get stuttering music/video... If you get the new drives with the intel controller, they are MUCH faster than a HDD in every way, read, write, seek, power use, but the intel controlled drives are VERY expensive atm.
