    You have to remember that these cars are very few and far between (there are more Veyrons than these).

     

    I have no doubt that in they'll hold their price in the future - it could even rise in the right conditions (like the Enzo or McLaren F1).

    I think the Ferrari 458 is simply shockingly stunning - it's a very tough decision between a yellow or red. If I was fortunate enough to buy one it would be the yellow since red would be the most popular choice.

     

    However, in silver it just looks too boring. This car needs to have a bright colour on it to appreciate the lines and curves with the light reflecting from it.

     

    The McLaren on the other hand will look good in silver. I'd love to see one in a McLaren F1 racing colours (silver, black, red). I still think the McLaren F1 orange will be best suited to this car. Dark colours don't do too much justice for the Mac - again, supercars should be like a party (fun, big, bright and lots of noise).

     

    Both costing around £170k apparently - this is murcielago territory. Whereas a few years back supercars would tend to be around £100 - £120k mark new, they are steadily increasing towards the £200k region. Something even the very hard working people are unlikely to achieve for just a car. :(

     

    If you had no kids, mortgage pretty much paid off, no major bills to pay then yes £100k car could probably be financed on a good income. However, it seems you're going to have to be pretty well off to afford cars like these in the future - i.e. millionaire and beyond rather than a fanatical petrolhead thats worked very hard and got his/her dream. Shame really...

    Be warned though - from experience with mine they are a pain in the a*** to keep clean. Unless its anything but a sunny dry day, you'll be going back home cleaning them.

    I'm a little surprised no one has come forward for these. When I took them off I had 3 offers for them when they weren't even for sale. B)

     

    They are top notch quality as you'd expect. The new owner will be getting some seriously good looking alloys for the summer and beyond from a well known quality brand, pretty much two brand new GoodYear F1 tyres on the fronts AND all the nuts, etc. They don't need to faff about with spacers as they install exactly as required on a zed.

     

    I don't think that's a bad deal for well under a grand! :)

    Do you want to know why everything is going up in price...?

     

    'cos everyone started buying stuff they couldn't afford in the first place on cheap loans and so on. They defaulted on the loans (since the banks just wanted cash and virtually gave it away with little checks) and the greedy bankers that sold all sorts of wonderful packages amongst themselves for huge profits got stuffed in the process as well.

     

    Government then bailed out the banks since they hold everyone's cash and now ironically people are asking why stuff is getting expensive. :p You're paying it back via the high tax.

     

    Don't shoot me for my comments. I agree that there should be tighter controls about the rate at which it rises but it's very easy money for the government to rake in to the ease the deficit and so on.

     

    I'm by no means defending the government, but at the same time I am not defending Joe public. Loads of muppets gave cash to even bigger muppets and now we (including myself) are having to pay it all back. Am I annoyed about it? Yep. Is anything going to get done about it? Nope. Why? Because technically everyone is to blame in the bigger picture. :blush:

    holly guacamoli!!! £150 new! some mods are crazy prices, i would have thought £20 would be steep lol! but each to thier own (one mans junk is another mans treasure and all that!)!

    never really got the whole bare carbon fibre thing.

    To be fair it is very good quality and was hand made in Japan, then shipped over here to the UK (took me months to get it, yet I have another on my zed). The RSW parts are a marmite thing, but they do honestly transform the interior from that horrid dull plastic look that is starting to look dated.

     

    Remember folks - I'm selling this 40% off list price and is quite hard to get hold of - I'm almost certain you won't get it at this price again when brand new. :thumbs:
