  1. Average Joe Bloggs may not know the difference but if you have an accident the inspector of the aftermath will. Insurance companies will try pretty much anything to wriggle out of a payout because it costs them a lot - for the sake of an extra bit of cash is it worth risking not having them paying out (you could be £10k out of pocket!)

Just try them...you may be surprised. Do an online quote with admiral first and if they ask too much then state when you done it online you got far cheaper so they should try and match it.

  2. Bit of a rant really...

I love TVRs. I think they have soul and only real petrolheads drive them. But what is it with the damn things swamping every single meet (especially with PistonHeads)! You can always be sure that at least 1 will always pop up at a gathering of cars.

Don't get me wrong, I love seeing a convoy of them but it seems every time a meet or run is organised the damn owners always turn up with their mates and their mates mates and so on and overwhelmingly take over.

The drivers are often enduring their mid life crises (no offence to some here ;)) and feel when I turn up its a case of "oh look a Jap car...another fast and furious wannabe. Move over with the scoobs and us TVRs will stick together in our millions" and they carry on chin wagging about god damn TVRs. :p

Is it just me that finds this?!

Why can't it be a load of lotus' or something instead?

All I hear are TVRs. All I see are TVRs! I want some different eye candy... :p

  3. I'd point out that your using it during lunch hours and very quiet periods - no different than others looking at the BBC website.

IT have a log of what times you enter different sites and if your confident you don't go on this site all day every day (only the odd 5 - 10 mins) then you could argue that your being discriminated against. The site has nothing offensive about it and is no different from going on any other site.

OK, you should be working but at the same time your not a robot and if your not abusing the privilege and doing the work being asked then I see no problem.

  4. Both have their pro's and cons really. Warm sunny days there are times when I feel like I would like no roof, but all the other times I am glad I chose the coupe.

The zed ragtop looks like a big after thought to me - they made the coupe and then the engineers stood back and then thought..."ah...they will be wanting it with no roof as well...bugger", so they done the best they could with the shape of the car.

Again, side by side the look pretty different

  5. Holy Moly! B):scare:

Why would you go from a 600+ BHP monster you've spent hundreds of man hours on to a zed?!

I'm not complaining but that'll feel like driving around a 1 litre after coming from a zed. lol

I think we are all looking forward to seeing what you do with a zed if you've done that to a Supra. :#1:

  6. depnds on how far your going , im guessnig youl be going past me via the hatfield tunnel ?

Yes I will be. :) I'm going to travel right through central London - like a giant "U" shape. Down the M1, then clockwise along the M25 and then down the M11.

Follow path of tunnels through to central London and go via Westminster, etc and over to Buckingham Palace then on to Hyde Park area and then back up towards Marylebone.

    OR

Same route down and get to Canary Wharf, take some pics and back up again the same way

  7. Your car is very cool. I like that you've kept a red and black theme going on - try and keep it going. B)

You forgot Carbon B-Pillars, if you don't already have them.

Have you thought about getting a carbon lip on the front and change the badge on the current body work? This way you'll be the same style but it will look a little more aggresive - plus you won't have to pay for a new front end, getting it sprayed and then fitted, bla, bla, bla.

The subtle mods often make a lot of difference such as different badges, stubby aerial, bits of carbon (pillars for example). You don't have to go all out extreme (costing a fortune) to make it unique. ;)

  8. I'm going to be testing a London tunnel run route tomorrow (Saturday) evening if anyone local wants to meetup. Good way to finish off a warm summery day. :) Looking to leave around 8pm.

Basically it is just to make sure I know the route before organising something bigger with loads of other zeds. We may get lost a few times (hence why it's a practice run tomorrow to iron out any silly routes) but I work there and know central London very well.

If you're interested then PM me and put your name and where your coming from below (so I can arrange a meeting point). I have a map plotted with a lot of tunnels so if you like the sound of a V6 echoing around you then why not give it a try. :)

    * This is not the official tunnel run - just a practice run. Map thread is here - viewtopic.php?f=19&t=33783

  9. Fancy a day out with thousands of other jap cars?

Whether its show and shine, having some track time, getting to meet other zedheads or you just want to do it all then put your name down for Japfest 2010 (15th May).

The show is an ideal meet and greet before the "Big One" in Wales. This meeting point seemed to work for the Ace Cafe day, so I can't see why not for this occassion (there are lots of you coming from all directions in the south so I can't please everyone - sorry).

The meeting point I will be arranging will be at Toddington Southbound Services @ 05:30 | Leave: 06:00 | Arrive: 08:00 | Japfest Gates Open (public): 09:00
