nrc Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 I have just done a hard, hot drive to the south of France and experienced a clutch pedal sticking about half way down and a worrying noise when changing gear.It seemed to resolve itself when it cooled down.Has anyone else had this? is there a cure? I am down here for a few weeks and am a bit concerned about the trip back! Quote
ZMANALEX Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 If a DE then fresh fluid, braided line and slave cyl. should fix this common issue. Around a 20 minute job. Alex. Quote
ZMANALEX Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 thanks Alex, whats a DE? DE is the model code which became HR circa 2007. Quote
ZMANALEX Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 mine is a 2009 car, does the same apply? Not if it is an HR as the gearbox will have to be removed to replace the CSC. Does it have twin air boxes ? Quote
nrc Posted June 26, 2015 Author Posted June 26, 2015 yes,its one of the last 350s,will just changing the fluid help? I think its probably the original. Quote
Ekona Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 It might, but it won't cure it. Sadly you're going to have to hope and pray it holds, until you get home and then it's a slightly more expensive job Quote
nrc Posted June 26, 2015 Author Posted June 26, 2015 will changing the csc solve the problem?what actually happens?it seems to me that vapour forms in the fluid causing the pedal not to be effective? Quote
jimboy2 Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 Pm mark@abbey he will be able to describe yours issues. I have the same issue if I try to launch the car. Drives perfectl at all other times tho. Quote
andywatson Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 Ah ha! My 04 did this a month or so ago after traffic jam on M25 & A12 and pedal stuck down about 3 times too. Fluid change due then? Quote
nrc Posted June 26, 2015 Author Posted June 26, 2015 I will start with this and hope it gets me home! Quote
