Help! No gears, no biting point, pedal through the floor

Hi all,

Down in northern Italy and have just lost gears. Pedal has dropped through the floor. No biting point. No nasty noises just no resistance on the pedal and can't engage a gear.

Had a search on the forum and think it's the slave cylinder? Any thoughts?

It's an HR and clutch was changed 20k miles ago. Car has done 57k total.

Cheers for all help!

Hi Matt, sounds like slave cylinder to me. Any chance you can get the car to a local garage so you can check the clutch line and slave cylinder?

Let me know if you need parts, both in stock and ready to ship. Hope you sort this out ASAP!

As daft as it sounds, have you checked your Clutch fluid levels? Is the clutch pedal sat on the floor? Not flicking back at all, not even half way? As it sounds like you might have an air lock.

If it is the slave cylinder ona HR it is a box out job as ZMANALEX says here http://www.350z-uk.c...slave +cylinder where the member had similar issues, albeit his was a DE engined ZED:

hi all

the fluid level is fine, at max and the clutch pedal does not lift at all when depressed.

Is the fluid clean ? this could be the clutch fork broken or detatched
