ziglo Posted June 14, 2015 Share Posted June 14, 2015 Hi, I noticed whilst cleaning the roadster that there is transparent seal around the body work between the hood and paint work, when the roof is retracted this seal can be seen and it seems some dirt has got around the edges making it difficult to clean. Would anyone know if it can be replaced my mechanic says it may damage the paintwork peeling it off. Has anyone replaced it and know the proper part name ? bababongles Posted June 14, 2015 Share Posted June 14, 2015 Can I tag along on this one please. 😠Asked before on Forum, but best advice was try cleaning the edges with ear buds!! 😬 Was hoping if anyone had removed / replaced this, but unfortunately had no response. The Bodyman Posted June 16, 2015 Share Posted June 16, 2015 Not a lot you can do here. I have the same problem. The dirt is under the edge of the film. Its a common problem. zebedy Posted June 16, 2015 Share Posted June 16, 2015 Ok. If I was to remove mine this is what I do. Suns out so top down. Get a hair drier and slowly heat up the strip at one end. Keep the hair dryer moving melting the adhesive an inch at a time. Start to pull it up with a fine blade. Move to the next inch and repeat making sure the strip is hot and soft before peeling it up.
