NWZ Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Got a private number plate on my Xmas list, there's a load of MJZ nnnn (nnnn is 4 numbers) going for peanuts, as my initials are MJ and my car is a Z do you guys think it would look good or not? I'm hoping it'll look good 'cos for £69 they're a bargain. Let me know - cheers! Quote
martinmac Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Cant go wrong for that price. Got mine for £69 and five minutes in the DVLA office and its sorted. Quote

Sarnie Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I don't get how it is Irish? How does this work with the DVLA? Quote
lomoto Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 I don't get how it is Irish? How does this work with the DVLA? Northen Ireland.... just the same as England plates as regards transfer Quote
GC350z Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Not to start an argument but I wouldn't call Northern Ireland plates Irish. Quote
GIXXERUK Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 "Not to start an argument but I wouldn't call Northern Ireland plates Irish." well known as irish plates over here mate - rightly or wrongly Quote

I'm hoping it'll look good 'cos for £69 they're a bargain. Let me know - cheers! IMO the cheap Irish plates look very cheesy on a car. Everyone knows they are £69 and simply to hide the age of the car. Nobody will realise it's your initials. I would much rather have the original plate. I bought a 06 Monaro recently with SKZ2700 and gave the plate away so I could get the car back on an 06. Either splash out for a proper plate or don't bother. But thats just my opinion Quote
NWZ Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 Yeah, I guess that's why they're only £20 on ebay. Gonna park on this one - thanks for all advice on the irish Northern Ireland numberplate saga Quote
polarbear Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Took a long hard look at one ending 3502 a while back for obvious reasons. Initials + Z + 350Z would look Quote
